Really good. I rented an Airbnb across the street and it was my go to place. Staff is great. I would go back again.

I was robbed!!! Almost Jerky chicken. Whole chicken was dried out no flavor!!! So bad it made me throw up. Negative stars if I had my way. I admit , however, I also had Beef barbacoa taco which was wonderful. Whole 16.00 Chicken was just terrible I can't stress that enough!! Went back and they won't take it back. After showing them the dried out chicken (see picture) they said breast is always dry. They said no way give me my money back. (Walmart makes better moisture flavorful chicken than this was.) Hernandez employee came up with all kinds of excuses why no money back. Hernandez rep said "Breast is always dry." I disagree not that dry. Walmart is actually good but not like this horrible crap. I repeated to employee that I threw up to employee. But she said she can't make money if she gives back 16.00 for no flavor dry chicken. I said you can't make money with this terrible of food!!!! I said this will all be in my yelp review but she could not care less. No butter basting or anything of the like on the chicken. No flavor. No sauce no nothing. Yuck!!! Great food and great staff!!!!! Tiny little shack on the side of the road. If you blink you're literally going to pass it by. The best way to find it is just to follow the smell of barbecue, It'll lead you right to the building. Located on Glenwood if you're going from South Front Street it's just passed the train bridge on the right. They serve grilled chicken either whole, half or quarter sizes with homemade tortillas and rice and beans. They also have the best chilaquiles here in town. And don't sleep on their barbacoa because that is absolutely amazing!! I've seen different posts where they say it only except cash but I went in and used my debit card without any problems. Also, you might want to call about their hours because they claim online to be closed on Wednesday but I was able to go today and grab some food. read more

I had two Barbacoa Tacos on corn with no cilantro and a mix bowl with beef and chicken no cilantro. 10 outta 10 will be eating here again and often. It's a little taco stand just off the road and it's worth it. Authentic vibe. Feels like Saturday back home with my uncles. It doesn't get much more authentic than this place. The 1/4 chicken was good, the rice was excellent and the beans were just ok. The tacos were outstanding. Get the hot green sauce with the chicken tacos. The only negative is they were out of barbacoa. CASH ONLY. read more

Love finding these hole in the wall places! We are not from Tyler but this place is awesome.

I love this place !!! Tacos are cheap !!! $ 1 for corn and $1.50 for flour - anytime not just on taco Tuesday like most places. They are closed on Wednesday by the way. They also have rice and beans. The meat is fajita meat not ground beef or shredded chicken. They also sell grilled chicken plates which is $5 for half and $10 for whole. It is a pain to park sometimes but it is worth it They do have seating in a separate building if you want to stay and eat but most get it to go . Green sauce is better than the red in my opinion! Only bad experience I've had is when they ran out of food . read more

You seriously cannot find better tacos in Tyler for the price! The barbacoa is so freaking good! If you haven't checked this place out, and you love tacos, you have to try these! They are open until 5pm, but they do run out of their meat, so try to go as early as you can just to be safe! On weekends, they have papusas- same thing- they sell out quickly! If you don't want to take these to go, there is an outdoor enclosed eating area with fans inside, so the temperature is manageable. Take some wipes though, the table top area can be sticky. They only take cash, so make sure you have it with you before you go! read more

Best bag for you buck hands down, I would recommend everyone try it. Best tacos for the price and has no competition in Tyler, Texas that can match the taste for the money. Out of the 100 times I have visit and bought tacos from this establishment I've probably only had one or two bad experiences. But something about the taste just keeps bringing me back. Salsa is also excellent. Only thing I didn't like was the popusas, only bad decision I have made since I've been giving them my business, and will not order them again. Chicken tacos, beef tacos, Barbacoa tacos, and grilled chicken are all excellent. I would again recommend that everyone tries this place at least once, it will have you hooked after the first visit. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I have had the worst experience with this place. I wanted some authentic tacos and I got dog food. I swear I have never tasted something so salty in my life, and I love salt. I couldn't even eat it because it was so salty, so I tried to get a refund or even switch the order to something less salty and they said no refunds and its just the cheese. I just wanted something to eat at this point.. So I decided to switch it to the chicken tacos.. I had the food 3 days ago and I still have diarrhea. OMG It really isn't barbeque..but who cares. These are the best tacos you'll ever put in your mouth. I am serious. The meat almost melts in your mouth. They smoke it on the premises. Not a big fussy menu. Beef or chicken tacos on flour or corn tortillas with cilantro, onions, and cheese , beans, rice, whole or half smoked chicken, plenty of homemade red or green sauce and fresh cut limes.
