VS the other AAU program where my mother payed a lot of money for me warm up the bench & did not care about me as a player & gave me no opportunities! That was not the case with LA Elite!!!!!! I purchased a month long skills practice on Groupon for my 8 year old. He was so excited about it…read more I did have a question before attending the first session so I called the number on the Groupon. It went to a lady who casually answered as if I called her personal cell phone and then she scrambled to get another number for me to reach LA Elite. I called the alternative number and left a voicemail. A week later, no response. I call back the original number and a guy answers, he rushes me off the phone before I could say 5 words and tells me to send an email to ask, he doesn't have time to answer my question and too much is going on right now. I take down the email address and send an email. I never heard back. Following the instructions on the Groupon I decide to print the voucher and go up to the facility at the designated time for my son's age group to meet. NO ONE was there. The facility was locked, there wasn't one car in the lot. We sat and waited. Then we called again and left a voicemail. No one called back, no one came. We left, my son was disappointed, and I came home and requested a refund from Groupon. This was a horrible ordeal that ended up disappointing my son and clearly they must be fraudulent or do not need the business. LA Elite has lost us as a customer and being involved in several larger basketball communities I plan to spread the word. I am also disappointed that Groupon had not vetted their affiliate enough and the outcome was poor service, poor communication, and a loss of customers. I do not recommend them to any who is serious about the sport, their child's feelings, and their money because they are not serious about any of these things.

Our son started B Ballers Hoop School when he was 5. He is now 14, and throughout his years at B ballers, he has been fortunate to receive guidance and training from skilled coaches who are create an environment and experience that encourages players to work hard, dedicate themselves to the game, make good decisions, and have fun playing ball. Personally, my husband and I can't thank Coach Tristan and Coach Ed for the ways they helped our son flourish on the court. B ballers' coaches are intentional in their coaching and create genuine connections with their players. We can't say enough great things about Coach Greg, B ballers owner. He makes it a point to know the players by name, learn about who they are, and constantly encourages them to reach their goals. B ballers isn't only a place to help your child reach their potentials but it's also a place where we have met so many other parents who are now our good friends. We feel blessed for getting the opportunity to be a part of an amazing league and we are grateful to know that we have our B ballers family supporting and cheering for our son on and off the court!

0 stars if that were an option!!!!!…read more Shoot 360 Torrance completely ruined my friend's children's 15th birthday celebration (twins!) on 1/31, and the way they handled it was beyond unacceptable. The manager, Andreas Forslund, explicitly told my friend that although the original party slot was 2-4 PM, we could stay until 6 PM because there were no other events scheduled. Based on that assurance, food was ordered, guests were invited, and families planned their afternoon around that timeframe. At 4:20 PM, a man who had booked the venue for 4:30 PM approached our party raising his voice, aggressively demanding that we leave. This happened in front of guests and children. Shockingly, Shoot 360 staff did absolutely nothing to intervene or de-escalate the situation. They allowed this man to continue yelling at our group. We were then forced to pack up immediately!!Guests were sent home without eating, and the cake wasn't even cut. The families literally left hungry. The celebration was abruptly ended with zero notice, despite what the manager had promised. Only after the damage was done did Andreas Forslund state that the general manager rented out the space without his knowledge. That internal miscommunication is not the customer's responsibility! Yet we were the ones who paid the price. To make matters worse, my friend was not reimbursed despite them completely ruining an important milestone birthday. This was an embarrassing, chaotic, and heartbreaking way to conduct business. Poor communication, no accountability, no customer care, and no respect for families or children. Do not book parties here. If something goes wrong, they will not protect your event or take responsibility.

The facility overbooked and, because of their mistake, our party was kicked out before we could even cut the cake or eat. To make matters worse, when another family arrived, the man from the incoming party yelled at us to leave because "his party was starting." Staff did nothing to stop this behavior, which felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The situation felt discriminatory and unfair, especially since we were treated as if our celebration didn't matter at all. Management, including Andreas Forslund, was informed of what happened, yet no action was taken--no apology, no reimbursement, and no credit offered. This was supposed to be a joyful, memorable day for the twins, and instead it turned into a stressful and humiliating experience. Based on how poorly this situation was handled, I do not recommend this place to anyone planning an event or expecting respectful customer service.

Roman is a very responsible organizer, members of this group are very nice and highly skilled. Most of the 2s are high level players and 4s are advance intermediate. If you are a beginner, talk to Roman for best classes. Sometimes Roman invites Beach volleyball teachers for free classes for group members. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot next to where group plays. There are also restrooms in the swimming pool next to where group plays. Usually there are 3 courts for twos and 3 courts for fours, 36 people can play at the same time. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to play beach volleyball.

I have been a part of this meetup group since 2011 and it truly is for ALL experience levels. I've…read moreplayed volleyball (indoor and outdoor) for over 18 years and have helped tutor beginners in this group. I've seen people start off completely new and inexperienced where they are just learning the fundamentals, to actually playing competitive games of 2v2 against advanced players. About 6 courts are usually reserved and fully equipped with lines and regulation volleyballs (not the fake replicas but the real deal pro-quality volleyballs). There's always three courts of 4s and three courts of 2s going on all-morning. Usually by 1pm everyone is tired and starts heading home. Be sure to bring water and wear lots of sunscreen because shade and water fountains are far away from the volleyball courts. Onto the review: The group has evolved over the years to a very well organized and competition-friendly atmosphere. The group is for most ages, but typically everyone is between the ages of 18-55. I would not recommend this for kids under the age of 13 because injuries can happen when you play with people physically bigger and mature. This meetup is for those serious about learning to play beach volleyball, get better at it, and have fun. The current organizer, Roman, is very friendly and welcoming. Above all else, he wants fairness in all the games. On occasion teams will be mixed up to balance out experience levels. It's a learning experiencing for everyone, but in the end, it makes you and everyone else a better player when the competition is varied. The 3-and-out rule ensures everyone gets a chance to play. "Super" teams are discouraged, but if games are consistent blow-outs, then you might be asked to break-up. The point of the meetup is to have fun, and blow-outs are NO FUN. There's always going to be 1 or 2 of those over-competitive-not-so-friendly players, but usually everyone else is friendly and encouraging. The biggest tip: be friendly and have FUN! Bad attitudes are not welcome in the meetup group. If you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, there's something for everyone! If you happen to come by on a Sunday, look for me if you'd like some practice...or some friendly competition! :)
