I've been a Progressive customer for over 10 years with no accidents, no tickets, and no claims in the last 5 years. Despite that, my premium was just raised by $120 a month out of nowhere. How do they expect hard-working Americans to survive when loyal, safe drivers are punished like this? Progressive makes billions while draining customers, and if you ever need a claim, you have to fight them for it. This is insane, insensitive, and unacceptable. After a decade of loyalty, I'm done with this company and will be taking this to social media and my attorney.

Progressive insurance is a joke. I am only giving them one star because Yelp won't let me give them zero stars. My car was hit by someone who has Progressive, they showed the officer a good insurance card, but now Progressive is saying they didn't have insurance through them at the time. So, they are refusing to repair my car. They are trying to say that you can pull up an insurance card on their app even if you don't have insurance through them at the time. I don't know about anyone else, but that sounds fishy to me. There is no reason to not repair my car if the card from their website says they have insurance. I will never use them, I will talk anyone I know out of using them, and I would recommend anyone who has them find a company that has more morals than to try and throw their customers under the bus.

Retaliation cancellation notice from Progressive for filing a complaint with Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner.

Progressive Auto Insurance, are corrupt idiots. Relocated from California to Washington State. - Called for a quote, Accepted quote and paid $140. - Violation 1, Documents would not open. Thus have no clue what the policy is, or covers. - Violation 2, Washington State policy with San Diego address, thus nothing ever received in the mail. Again, No Documentation. - Filed a complaint with Washington State Office of Insurance commissioner (OIC). - Violation 3, retaliation, received a pending cancellation, notice for not providing requested documentation. Insurance Fair Conduct Act (IFCA) - Violation 4, Washington law, specifically RCW 48.18.545, prohibits insurers from using credit history or insurance scores to deny, cancel, or non-renew personal insurance policies based solely on those factors. Going to send Progressive a demand letter, copy OIC for $1500 per Violation, giving them the option to negotiate and settle. Otherwise take them to small claims court for $2500 per my red flags.

Progressive are a bunch of liars who think their customers are idiots!

Go somewhere else. State law in Minnesota does NOT require you to pay extra to put your roommate on your policy. It's a lie.

Is it really cheap and give good customers claims services?

Not cheap, poor customer service. Try Markel for motorcycle, and USAA for everything else, if you qualify. Just read all of the reviews, I did, WOW what shysters. Progressive charged me $800 for what Markel charges $100 a year.

I wrote a distressed email at 6:30am and Collin called me back at 6:37am and laid out a comprehensive action plan that was very easy to understand. Not only was Collin incredibly responsive and kind during a stressful time, but he also made sure the entire claims process was smooth and shockingly fast -- everything was handled and resolved in just ONE week! Collin guided me through every step, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I felt supported the entire time. Thanks to Collin, what could have been a long, drawn-out disaster turned into a manageable simple process. If you're looking for someone who truly has your back, is an industry expert, and truly cares at the highest level, Collin Doyle is the insurance agent you want. Highly, highly recommend!

To say I'm disappointed with this specific agent and relationship is an understatement. I have been…read morewith State Farm since my father set me up when I was 16 years old. Almost 30 years. I've maintained the relationship with the same office through moves and multiple new home and vehicle purchases, always bundling everything here. I've never missed or been late on one single payment. Over the past two years, we had some appliances leak, in addition to wind damage on our roof. One of the claims was inadvertently a duplicate (never questioned by this office...and for our singular roof), and we were told our entire homeowner policy is now cancelled. I went through the process of an appeal, only to hear today it was declined. With this lag, I only have 3 days (counting the weekend when insurance offices are not open) to find a new policy. Absolutely awful experience, customer service, support and management.

Why doesn't Progressive Insurance automatically refund an overpayment? We didn't even know that…read moreour mortgage company had inexplicably overpaid Progressive Insurance until we received our monthly mortgage statement. Our mortgage company can't even explain why it had overpaid Progressive Insurance. Nor could Progressive Insurance explain why they had kept the overpayment, or even why they didn't automatically refund all overpayments. The hyper-greed corporations like Progressive Insurance practice is usually able to be avoided, but here Progressive Insurance's avarice to me is a bummer. Progressive Insurance can't even give me an answer as to when they will refund to me this overpayment. Keeping existing customers satisfied provides a much better return to any business than continually searching for new customers is a fact this greedy, thieving and lazy business ignores. The fact that this business remains unclaimed on Yelp proves just how much this business doesn't care at all what its customers and the public think about it. There is nothing progressive or Christian about Progressive Insurance. "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." Philippians 2:4. Progressive Insurance paid its CEO a net of $6.9 million in 2016 and $9.3 million in 2017. Progressive Corp.'s Susan Patricia ("Tricia") Griffith received the fifth-highest U.S. property/casualty insurance CEO salary in 2018. Progressive paid its CEO nearly $14.2 million in total compensation in 2018. There is NO way a millionaire let alone a multi-millionaire (or billionaire) can ever understand or appreciate how someone like me as a disabled Veteran unable to be employed due to my military Service-connected disabilities who is on a fixed income for life finds the theft of some of my money to be a huge burden. Clearly, "I'm from a corporation and I'm here to help," means help the corporation NOT we the corporation's customers. Progressive Insurance doesn't even pretend to maintain a patina of relatability to we the 99%. Progressive Insurance has AGAIN undermined the "we're all in this together" narrative that Progressive Insurance had been trying to broadcast. Progressive Insurance talks too much about its rights and not enough about its duties.

With Lakeshore, or having an Advisor at Lakeshore for your insurance needs seems to be a "thing" in name only. Issue is...my rep never gets back to me without me having to badger/hound him for the answer, a solution, or new insurance policy options. I'm wayyyyyyy to busy for the hounding, when I take time out of my day to work on insurance issues I want to resolve them right then or via a follow up task action that requires a review, sign, and done. He (Lakeshore Insurance) makes it hard for me to find value in remaining a customer with Lakeshore Insurance and having the benefit of a personal insurance "Advisor." I don't write reviews that often but, this seems like a case that needs to be shared. *This has been an ongoing experience with my rep, oh excuse me "my personal advisor," who is always: -slow to respond -not consistent with his follow through -offers "genic" quotes (with no real personalization based upon my needs) when I'm just a phone call away to get proper specs for mileage driven, add-ons, road side assistance needs, rental car needs, etc. All of which are things that impact the premium's price. -me always having to do the "follow up" to get an answer to seal the deal. I started this conversation mid September...it's now November and still don't have what i asked for which is updated quotes....for auto insurance...for four vehicles. Been a loyal customer to Lakeshore Insurance Company for almost 10 yrs, you'd think they would value me for bringing business of four cars and home owners insurance. At this point I'm probably better off going with a big box company who doesn't know me by name and forcing me to speak to a different representative every time (which is okay with me....at least I get my issues, inquiries, and needs met instantly)! Vs. Having a "personal advisor insurance representative," who offers NO real customer service or assistance to personalize my requested insurance needs. -a Disappointed customer
