I recently started getting treatments myself. I'm a runner and have been suffering from tightness in my hips, which over time has become painful. I can't believe how out of wack I was. The chiropractic gun they use, in my opinion, is better than the traditional method. I feel like there is an immediate relief and that more pressure in the surrounding areas are released. It also seems like your adjustment "sticks" longer. I'm now a few adjustments in and am so excited to be feeling this well. I can't believe I was walking around like that for so long!

I no longer work at Bodyworkz, and I want to be transparent about why…read more I have reached a point where I can no longer continue working in an environment that I personally experienced as toxic, inconsistent, and punitive toward its massage therapists. When I had a legitimate medical emergency involving a severe migraine and vomiting, I went to urgent care, provided a doctor's note, and called out because I was physically unable to safely work. Instead of that being treated as a normal medical absence, my clients were moved to another therapist. I appreciated that they were able to be seen, but my schedule was then emptied for the following Monday, leaving me with only one client at the very end of my day. I experienced that as punishment for having a medical emergency. This was not the only issue that led to my decision. When I needed urgent dental care for an infected tooth, I was asked to give two clients massages before leaving at lunchtime, even though I had provided more than an hour of notice and was in significant pain. I declined because I needed medical care and was not able to function normally. I was told that clients are expected to provide 24-hour notice for cancellations, and I was questioned about why I should not have to do the same, despite the situation being a medical emergency. I was also pressured to provide the massages for free, which would have meant losing income while also giving away my services. I have also been required to give massages for free when front desk staff failed to tell me about an early client or failed to update my schedule. In addition, I was not paid for several clients who did not actually no-show because front desk staff had failed to collect or maintain their credit card information. These were administrative mistakes, but the financial consequences were passed on to me. Communication was also routinely inconsistent. Different therapists would be given different--and sometimes directly contradictory--information, leaving everyone confused about expectations and policies. I believe massage therapists deserve to be treated like skilled healthcare and wellness professionals. We deserve clear expectations, accurate pay, consistent communication, and the ability to be sick or have a medical emergency without fearing financial retaliation. I care deeply about my clients, which is why I chose to finish out my remaining scheduled time rather than simply walk away. They did nothing wrong, and I did not want them caught in the middle. But I will not continue sacrificing my health, my income, or my professional dignity to remain somewhere that operates this way. I am choosing to move forward and put my energy into building a practice rooted in respect, communication, ethical care, and the kind of environment I believe both therapists and clients deserve. After…read morethe consultation and x-rays I let myself get talked into signing up for a treatment plan that, as long as I finished (36 visits), I wouldn't be charged for. After 11 visits, here's what I experienced: - an extremely pushy nurse who wouldn't let me say no to lidocaine injections 2x/week that were not helpful to me - front desk staff who was extremely unprofessional, having side conversations with other staff about personal things in front of clients - NO ONE consistently wearing masks, staff or clients - clients not able to be 6 feet apart while doing PT - staff not cleaning areas after clients used them - I was given a back brace I didn't ask for that my insurance apparently approved, but then received a bill from my insurance and was told they hadn't approved it before it was given to me I would have received more "free" things, but I ended my treatment plan. The doctor and I squared up for my copays plus the remainder of my deductible. I could have asked for a specific breakdown of what was covered under my deductible, but I just wanted to be done. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place.
