Since it was my first time, Samantha did a thorough examination and explained to me about what she would do.

It is shocking to me that there are so many positive reviews of this doctor/office. First of all I…read moregot 0 reminder emails/phone calls/text messages about my appointment. It's not really a big deal but was surprising to me. When I got to the office all of the information I gave them over the phone was wrong. My address was wrong despite me spelling out my street name. I told them that I had a surgery in the past, a discectomy at the L4-L5 level. When I got to my appointment they had written down that I had a vasectomy. It was funny at first and I just assumed the girl heard me wrong on the phone. Then I started to get a little worried that an employee of a pain management facility, where they do spinal injections, thought that "vasectomy at the L4-L5 level," is a sentence that makes sense. Dr. Sraow is hands down the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. He spent the majority of the appointment staring at his computer, talking about his sports betting habit and Netflix. I was the one who had to keep refocusing the conversation on my spinal problems, which was the only reason I was there. I don't care about your parlay bro, I care about my health. I wouldn't trust this guy to clean my toilets let alone stick a needle in my spine. They were then supposed to call me to set up an appointment for an injection but after not hearing from them for 6 weeks I called and told them not to bother. They claimed they were still waiting on insurance approval but my insurance company said they never received anything. Pretty much what I expected they would say.

I like how bad reviews are Rarely done buy actual patients. To be a patient that means you were…read more"treated" medically by the doctor. This has nothing to do with your feelings, wait time or interaction other than that of dealing with pain. The only question you need to know is if the Dr is actually making a positive difference in your life? That is the only subject that matters if you are truly seeking treatment and answers for chronic pain. If that is your goal this is the Dr to seek help from. All the other stuff is useless chatter and loss of focus on something that controls your quality of life. Yes I am a patient.

My Pain Doctor of three years left the practice I was a patient of. I was totally happy with him…read more When I saw the Doctor I was assigned to, the first thing out of his mouth was that I was taking way too many pain meds and that no one should ever take over 120mgs of Morphine or its equivalent per day. His belief was that most pain can be relieved by using epidurals and facet injections of the spine. The first thing he did was cut my pain meds in half. No titrating my medication down gradually. He had me to start a regiment of epidurals and facet injections. After 25 injections (with nine more to go) in the course of forty eight weeks, all I was doing was lying in bed and letting all my household chores pile-up, letting my grooming needs go unmet and worse of all, shutting every one of my friends and family out of my life, I finally decided that enough was enough. So I started my journey to find a Pain Doctor who had at a minimum, one ounce of compassion. Finally I came upon the following: Dr. Wladislaw Fedoriw MD, Physiatrist, Anesthesiologist, Pain Medicine. I had never heard of a Physiatrist so Googled it to find out. Physiatrists are rehabilitation physicians. They are medical doctors who have completed training in the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Specifically, rehabilitation physicians: * Diagnose and treat pain * Restore maximum function lost through injury, illness or disabling conditions * Treat the whole person, not just the problem area * Lead a team of medical professionals * Provide non-surgical treatments * Explain your medical problems and treatment/prevention plan That right there was enough to make an appointment. Then I read further and found: Dr. Fedoriw's Care Philosophy: "Some pain centers push you to have injections. We don't do that. We follow the Standard of Care written by the AMA. If your doctor didn't try oral steroids, home neck or back traction, or spine specific physical therapy before injections... get a new doctor. Come see us for an honest second opinion. Unlike some pain centers, we will write your pain medications even if we are not doing injections with you. It's that simple." I couldn't believe it!!!! I made my appointment with Dr. Fedoriw right away. They were able to see me the following week. During my consultation, Dr. Fedoriw put in plain words what my X-ray revealed (something that was evident to a layman like me yet all the other Doctors missed). He upped my dosage of pain meds, told me I wouldn't have to be a human pin cushion any longer and started me on a home lumbar traction device; an easy to set-up system to use for 30 minutes a day for 5 weeks. Upon my next appointment in five weeks, I felt like my old self again. I found my life again! I can't climb mountains or run marathons but I can do things I enjoy like cooking and having friends over. Although limited, I can still get out of the house under my own volition and enjoy being with friends and family, doing things like going out to the mall, hitting-up new restaurants and going out to the movies and sporting events. Thank you Dr. Wladislaw Fedoriw for giving me my life back.

Recovia might be great for addiction, definitely not the place to go for mental illness…read more(depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia). They do not have psychiatrists, they have no family support or involvement. They do not seem to have any measures for progress. They bill not as a program but as individual dr. I needed to set up a payment plan and contacted billing. I gave them my information, but never received any follow up receipts or documentation. I had forgotten that I made arrangements because I never received anything. Even when a payment transacted, I never received a receipt for my automatic transaction. Two weeks ago, I emailed my counselor, who is also the Clinical Director of this site, forwarding him my concerns, with my attachments, requesting to speak to a manager about this customer service situation and lack of follow through. I finally received a receipt and an itemized statement, but my payments weren't referenced. I was pretty confused. I still have a balance due but they don't seem concerned about it. I have asked to speak to a manager twice, and twice, I've been ignored. As great as the clinic staff is at being professional, responsive, and mostly, good listeners to when I express my needs, the billing department drops the ball. And I'm not talking once. I'm speaking of a couple times. Why does billing think they don't need to present a professional, courteous, responsive demeanor with clients? I don't know. But after I completed the active care program, I'm not returning. I can't work with people that ignore my needs, and requests for clarification. These people are suppose to be ACTIVELY RESPONSIVE. The risk, (headache, time wasted in emails, phone calls, and asking a manager to please call me, are futile. The risk outweighs the benefit. If you need to pay anything, expect nothing from billing. Cindy is way too busy to call you back to hear your concerns about not getting a payment plan printed out, getting my two debit payments totaling $500, in tax receipts without having to follow up repeatedly. I won't give them my debit card number again for having on file. The clinic staff is great, but the behind-the-scenes-staff, not so much!
