They bounced 4 checks sent back with our security deposit and it took 5 months to get our deposit back. Rented this home with 3 other military members for over a year. During the original leasing process everyone in the company was incredibly difficult to get in contact with. They don't return phone calls or emails. The only reason this company doesn't get 1 star is that they left us alone for the duration of our stay. We were model tenants and when we moved out they assessed that we would receive our full security deposit back. The first check took 3 months to arrive after the date we vacated. All 4 checks they sent to us bounced... When we called to ask why that happened everyone at the company had no idea what we were talking about and insisted that it was the banks fault and not theirs. After this first bounced check we waited an additional month before calling again asking where our refund was and they were very rude and said they were working on getting the checks. 20 days after that phone call we all received our checks and they finally cleared. Currently still trying to get reimbursed for the bounced check fees we all incurred for their first bad checks. I have very little hope that these criminals will make any motions to reimburse us. I in no way would recommend this company to anyone and I hope they go out of business soon. Disgraceful service.

When I first came to them I was a homeless vet, due to a DV situation, and single mom in grad school working with a local organization that was offering to pay my deposits. My credit was ok, at best, and they agreed to rent this unit to me so that my sons and I could have a place to start over. For this part alone, I can never be grateful enough. They're also pretty great when it comes to maintenance on the unit. Any time I've had an issue with anything needing to be fixed they've been really responsive. I have a brand new toilet, HVAC unit was replaced, and a brand new fridge. These things were replaced pretty quickly and with hassle. I can't speak to any move out processes as it haven't yet crossed that bridge with them, but I'm hoping it to be a pretty smooth process whenever that happens.

The vast majority of the items are general home maintenance items, however Remax seems to believe that renters must not only pay rent, but also cover the cost of completely maintaining the home. Jason also did not see an issue with the owner of the home going into our fenced in yard, unannounced, even though the back windows did not have blinds and we have young children. We have rented many homes and have never not gotten my security deposit back (or been nearly stalked by a homeowner) until now. We also own 2 homes that we rent out and would never charge our tenates for regular upkeep / wear and tear on our homes. This is a very unprofessional and unethical way of doing business. I look forward to seeing them in court since they have been unwilling to budge on their unreasonable fees.
