Usually, she will send me pictures and talk about how beautiful the floral arrangements are that I have sent her year after year, but this year it's not the case. Is this a complete waste of money?

After calling a few florists near Erie (Lafayette, Broomfield, Frederick) no one answered their phone. I thought, understandable, it was 3 days before Mother's Day and florists were probably swamped. I called Carbon Valley and was immediately greeted so warmly and brightly on the phone! I told her my situation and I understood if they were too busy to help. She said it was not a problem and that in fact, they had a delivery going to Erie that day and could try to get it out same-day. I was shocked at the amazing customer service I received. I told her my budget, and the general kind of bouquet I was looking for which was bright, colorful, and unique. I trusted the florist to do a good job and the final bouquet was beautiful. I know where I'm going for my local florist needs now!

The owner is extremely scattered and non-responsive. She never returned my calls or emails. She…read morenever showed up on my wedding day as promised -- she sent her family members who had no idea where everything was supposed to go, and inappropriately asked the venue staff to take care of the floral placements for them. They left the ceremony flowers sitting out in the hot air for hours and hours, despite Lorie telling me she would make a second trip with them closer to the start of the ceremony so this exact scenario didn't happen. Her husband came up with some lie about it being a liability for them to put their arrangement up on the arch (because he didn't want to make a trip back and it couldn't sit out in the direct sun for five hours). Our venue coordinator confirmed that is absolutely untrue. Despite having clear instructions with a photo to show placement in our contract, the large arch arrangement ended up in the wrong spot, which I didn't see until I was walking down the aisle. On top of everything, the flowers were pretty but not actually want I wanted and not what we had talked about. The centerpieces were completely off. They forgot the flower girl petals. They never brought the extra vases for the bouquets to go in upstairs. I was hugely disappointed (especially after making repeated attempts to get in touch with Lorie leading up to our date), and it was the only thing that went wrong on an otherwise perfect day. I tried not to let it bother me, but let's be real, it did. Flowers were my top priority for the day and we had a comfortable budget. I wish I would have gone with someone else and urge you to do so for your wedding. Lorie causes major stress no bride needs before or on the big day.
