What a sh%t show this place is. Places is a mess. Not organized at all and the guy in there could…read morenot help with anything because he was busy on a phone call. Is this a front for something else? I have no idea how they stay in business.

Don't waste your time on faulty products, up charged prices, with the WORST customer service!…read more I ordered umbrellas because our current umbrellas (bought from Pottery Barn) faded in just one season and the poles themselves rusted through with holes in them. I was told that because Patio.com sells these year round, they have better quality items with warranties. I was assured these would not rust, fade, or break. There was a delay in shipping because of COVID and a run on orders from businesses creating outdoor spaces for customers so we received them in the fall (after the pool was closed). We stored them in the house until the pool opened this year. When we opened them for the first time this summer, the umbrella snapped. Immediately upon opening. When I contacted the store, I was given the run around and told that all of the people I worked with for the original purchase were no longer working with that store. To this day, I don't know why that matters. I finally was given a different number for customer service and left a message. I received an email back that I would have to pay for shipping for a new umbrella. I called again and asked to please speak with someone. I finally spoke to a woman who agreed that it didn't seem appropriate that I would have to pay to replacement an item that was clearly shipped damaged. I was then told that it would be taken care of. That was over 30 days ago. I have heard nothing from them about a replacement, and have not received a call back. Say what you will about Pottery Barn but at least those umbrellas still open and function as umbrellas...even if the fabric is weirdly faded after a single season.

If you listen to 1 of my reviews, make it this one. After the 2nd of the 2 brutal March storms here…read morenorth of NYC (both we lost power), my wife turned off our generator during the day when she went to work and couldn't re-start it when she got home. I got back from a biz trip and try my tricks to no avail. Next day, took it to the incompetent mechanics at Ridgefield Power Equipment. The next day they called to tell me the engine was shot and it would cost over $650 to fix, most of the cost to replace the entire generator. I fix things generally but hadn't had time to deal with this. With another storm and possible outage coming today, I dove in. After research and some basic engine work, it turns out the generator has a low oil cut off and the engine was very low on oil. After putting most of a quart in, she started right up after 4 or 5 pulls and purrs now. Ridgefield Power Equipment couldn't diagnose low oil. They told me the engine had low compression and the head or cylinder was likely cracked. I knew it couldn't be that. Pure incompetence. Avoid like the plague. I don't know how they stay in business. I was almost going to buy a new generator and considered buying it from them. Update 8/13/20 3 years after the above review, we noticed gas leaking from the generator when running and found it streaming from an engine bracket that was abutted to the bottom of the gas tank. After removing the tank, I found that the idiots at Ridgefield Power Equipment has re-installed the gas tank with 1 side UNDER the lip and the other correctly above it. The result was the bracket vibrated into the gas tank bottom the dimensions of the bracket and caused a fracture and the leaking/spitting gas while running (see pic of the damage caused by their incompetence). When I reinstalled the tank (after sealing it) correctly with both lips above the mount lift, plenty of clearance. To say this was a dangerous conditions is an understatement. Left unfixed, it easily could have cause a fire and explosion of the running generator, feet from our wood house. The incompetence of this repair ship is incomparable. They were the only shop to ever touch this generator and the original review stands with this addendum. Avoid this store like the plague!
