She contacted a plumber and apparently the major pipes were not connected under the flooring and the entire bathroom will need to be torn up and re done in order to be functional! I get the appeal and the benefit of being able to purchase a rundown house, inexpensively, renovate it and then sell it making a profit. I have done it myself several times over the years...That's all good, but this was not that! and this is way too small a state to do business this way.

He reached out to me and asked if he could send me via email other listings. I agreed. A few days later he called and I missed the call. Called him right back.. I'm pretty sure he gave me about 3 min of his time and rushed off the phone. Mind you all he did was send a list of homes via email. Super quick. I said I was interested in buying two different homes. Then I told him what I was looking for in each home. Again he only forwarded me the same email with a list of homes. Then we finally decided to meet to see 3 houses. Well he changed the start time 4 different times. I told him I had already made arrangements with work because I was coming from Boston and it would take about an hour and 40 min. I was ok with the first and second time he changed the time. But the third was my breaking point. All he did was answer one call from me for about 3 min and sent emails. I send him a text and said thank you for everything but I think I'm going in a different direction. But again thank you. He replies all mad saying how hard he worked on making all of this happen for me. I'm sorry sending the exact email 3 times and one call to me and a few to the other realtors because none of the houses I liked. Was his listings. Hmmm... thank good. Well this is his reply. Where should I start? My daughter made an appointment with them to see one of their properties…read morewith several days advance notice. When asked to make it for a different day, she told them she couldn't because I would be driving in from out of state (3 hours each way) to see it with her. Less than an hour before the scheduled appointment, they called and cancelled the showing because they suddenly had compliance training. We switched realtors given the unprofessional manner in which we had been inconvenienced. We submitted an offer for the property along with a list of questions. My realtor's repeated phone calls were never returned. Not believing that several days worth of calls had never been returned, I tried reaching them. Despite multiple attempts, I could never get past their answering service and never received a return phone call either. We never received a single response to any of our questions or communications. They claimed to know nothing about damage to the property, including mold, that was visible to anyone who walked into it. So either they never entered the property, or just outright lied. This despite the fact that even in foreclosures, realtors are legally required to disclose the presence of mold. They couldn't even be bothered reading their own contract, insisting we were responsible for thousands of dollars in unpaid assessments from the previous owner despite the fact the contract contained language to the contrary. Dealing with these people was hands down the worst real estate experience I have ever had in the dozen purchase and sales I have been involved in during my lifetime. They are NOT real estate professionals, they are listing agents and nothing more. Mr. Ponte is too busy with all of his other commitments, political and other business endeavors, to be a dedicated real estate professional and to run a real estate agency in a professional manner.
