Just one phone call and Andy was on the job ready to go to work. He made the space wider and higher. He shaved about 1/4 of an inch off the end of the countertop, slipped one section of the upper cabinets out, took it to the shop and shaved off about 3/8 of an inch and slipped back into place. You can't tell it was ever moved. I give Andy six stars, maybe seven. It is really hard to find a cabinet shop that would take a job like that. It reflects the company's the high degree of expertise and devotion to customer service. I give the company six stars. Howard Herman, very happy customer!

Another master class by Jamie Aquino! I've been eyeing her Farm to Table class for a couple years…read moreand finally had the chance to attend with my dad. This class is great because you also get a trip to the Kendall Yards Farmers Market where Jamie breaks down what's in season and an ideas for how to use various ingredients. You shop along with her as she picks out the main ingredients for the class and have time to shop yourself before getting started with the actual class back at the Kitchen Engine. Her classes and dishes are vegetarian and plant-based so you leave with nutritious and delicious recipes. My only disclaimer is that this class (and really any class) will be challenging for those with mobility issues. The walking involved at the market with this class and the bar stool seating for the 3-hr class was difficult for my father, who has mobility issues. That said, he has a blast. Just a callout so you know what to expect.

Lo and behold, there was one of the best kitchen gadget ships I've ever experienced combined with a cafe combined with a cooking school. This place is seriously the best of three worlds. I was able to buy some loose leaf tea for my daughter, the cortado was DELICIOUS, and they had some very specialized kitchen tools o haven't seen anywhere else (pizza scissors that double as servers!) if you're a foodie, a chef, or just someone who likes good espresso, this is the place to stop in. Plus, my honey forgot his water bottle when we ordered coffee and the baristas were so kind to have set it aside for us when we later returned. LOVE this place.

The only thing I regret was not having these guys do the ENTIRE bathroom (DO NOT make the same mistake I did on that). We are THRILLED with the way our bathroom redo turned out! William put so much time and effort into all the little details to make it look exactly how I envisioned it. His suggestion of adding some wanes coating to the wall with some nice trim really set the room off! He also never had a problem with adjusting to all the little things I added last-minute: putting a bidet on the toilet, grabbing the hardware for my cupboards that I forgot to get, added a kick plate to the door to protect the paint job, as well as fill in some gaps left on the trim that the other bathroom guys left untouched. Could not have asked for a better contractor to do our bathroom! We will be back when we're ready to do our kitchen! Thank you so much for doing such a great job on our bathroom.

The water heater had a leaky valve, so they had to fix that first. Then the first toilet needed new gasket and seal in the tank. Then the 2nd one turned into a major project. And the pipe in the floor was a mess so they had to replace that too. And once the toilets were done, they installed bidet attachments for us. They finished up around 2pm.
