Had knee surgery to repair meniscus. Did my physical therapy here at Millburn professional PT. Entire staff is outstanding. Susan was my primary therapist and she was exceptional. Professional, knowledgeable and effective. Also had some sessions with Glenn, who was great. read more

So I had the pleasure of visiting this location when I had a severe issue with my shoulder. Upon my initial visit the place was and looked very well kept. It was clean and everything was in its rightful place. They have a separate door for wheelchair and or other disability access and and another door for all others. The receptionist was an older woman with 1-2 others sitting at this semi oval reception desk. She's not very friendly or knowledgeable but does vey well answering the phones, taking your copay, if you have one and also scheduling appointments. You had to fill out several forms for your very first visit and those they can send you a link to retrieve them ahead of time and fill them out to take with you. Once you are all done with your forms a PT person will see you and there you will talk about the problems you have or been having. Mine PT person was Kara. Very sweet. Very caring young woman. On any given day there can be at least up to 4 other people there getting PT done. One thing I mostly didn't like was the constant talking. Now I'm not a real early morning person and they can get going in that office. They'll talk about your point of pain to, tv shows, to what's happening at home or with kids etc. that I found yo be a bit annoying. You can ask questions but st some point, stick to what we are doing. There was another helpful young woman who assisted with patients in their different routines of exercise. She was a sweetly and tended to you in a professional manner. The other thing I didn't like was that if you give me an 8:30 appmt and I get there on or before time, why is it that my time is being shared with someone else who you may have also given a time of 8:45?? So now you are back and forth, touching this person and then back to me. I didn't like that at all. That was one of my reasons for not going back. Not only that I felt the exercises were doing more harm than good so I went back to my doctor who had referred me. I would recommend this place but appointments should be done in a certain time frame and not overlap with another persons time. The receptionist needs to be a bit more friendly. First of all, the physical therapists I worked with at this location, Amy and Brian, are wonderful, compassionate humans who work hard. While I attended my appointments at Professional Physical Therapy, I was confident that I was in good hands. But since I finished up there, PPT's billing office has been so shockingly unprofessional that it can only be interpreted as fraud. I would never go back to this place or recommend it to anyone. I finished up physical therapy in the beginning of March, but it's July, and Professional Physical Therapy continues to erroneously bill me for varying amounts of money. We're talking hundreds of dollars each time. Every few weeks, I get a new statement telling me I urgently owe a large, random amount of money, and I have to call them to get them to clear it up again. Then, lo and behold, several weeks later, I receive a new statement for a different amount of hundreds of dollars. On my last day of PT, the woman at the desk handed me a huge surprise bill they had never mentioned before. She said she didn't know why the balance was so high, because they were in-network for my health insurance, and I ALWAYS paid my copay before leaving an appointment. When I called my insurance company to ask what was up, they told me PPT had started billing me as "out of network" when the new year started, and that PPT would need to refile their claims with my insurance. I called PPT, and I was first told by a billing rep that it was their mistake. He emailed me an amended statement that indicated THEY owed ME a copay back (huh?). I told him to keep it and was glad to have cleared it up. Then, 3 weeks later, after I got my next bill with a different balance of hundreds of dollars, I was told by 2nd billing rep, "You owe this amount, and I personally don't care whether or not you pay it." I immediately spoke to a supervisor, who investigated and decided I didn't owe them any money after all, and that they DID in fact owe me the equivalent of a copay. This still makes no sense, but whatever. Again, I was just grateful that we had resolved their misunderstanding. Nope. Yesterday, I got another fraudulent bill for another different huge amount. So yesterday I had to call PPT billing again. A full 4 months after I terminated service. They gave me the run-around, and finally today I got a (different) manager on the phone. He confirmed that I didn't owe PPT any money. When I told him I think they are scamming people, he said PPT couldn't possibly have as many locations as they did if they were a scam. Uh. Okay. In the end, he "gave me his word" that PPT would not contact me anymore. My fingers are crossed, because right now I feel like I would have to go into witness protection just to get this company to stop deciding every few weeks that I owe them money. Healing my body should just never have had to involve all of this. This place is a chain, and has lots of locations, but they all bill from Melville, NY. There are lots of identical complaints about the billing department in reviews for other locations, and I found a ton of Better Business Bureau complaints online saying the same things I'm saying. It looks like they end up sending a lot of people to collections as part of their scam. I think about the little old people that were on the tables next to me during my appointments at PPT, and I get VERY worried. When they open up one of PPT's enormous bogus bills, do they just assume it was their own mistake? Do they just shrug their shoulders and send PPT a check right away, afraid they're going to be reported to the credit bureau or something? Don't go to this place. They may help you manage your pain, but their billing department will replace it with months and months of headaches. read more

Yesterday, I was contacted, to tell me that the lights at KK's daycare were out, and that she needed to be picked up. I was in therapy!!! I stopped everything, in the rain went to pick her up HAD TO TAKE HER WITH ME BACK TO THERAPY!!! Not a disaster, The staff stepped in, and took her over, so I could get back to my exercises I've been so blessed to have found a therapy group, that has become like family. Professional Hands Therapy, Union. Thank you all for your love and kindness. I will never forget the generosity that you showed KK. She didn't want to leave She told everyone that she went to MaMa's therapy. If anyone out there needs therapy on your hands, arms, shoulders.
