They were so great and friendly to work with! They were very committed to helping my me and wife get the best.

Avoid avoid avoid :( If you have a small business or LLC avoid. If you have simple w9 forms maybe she can do them. This tax firm has cost us so much waste money because of their negligence or care for details. The time that we were able to speak to Martha after being on hold for a long long time, her call dropped in the middle of us discussing our LLC and legalities. She never called us back...in the middle of her getting details for our business. We called her office back, was put on hold again and then told she was with another client. She filed our taxes incorrectly on multiple accounts - probably bc of her lack of communication or follow through. She has most of her staff handle things...their fees are just way to astronomical for the type of service you get. NOT to mention, her simple filing of w9 form for my boyfriends dad ended in him getting audited. And he barely made any money...simple w9 form. P L E A S E avoid this tax firm to save yourself trouble!! read more

We received our paperwork today and the extended delay was Not due the negligence of the Tax Service,.

Been coming here over 15 years and this year has been the worst ever!! Had an appointment to get our taxes done. Well Martha, was a no show. We schedule early to get in and make sure we can get in before Aril. I have called several times and am currently working with Rachel, but she can't give me an update as to when our taxes will be done? I ask to speak with Martha, but she is not taking calls either. This is so frustrating and unprofessional. read more

We have done our taxes with Silvia for the past 3 years, paying about $1200 everytime, the first year we had the best experience but as years went on the service became worse and worse. my 2021 taxes filing was the absolute worse, not only did they "lose" track of the confirming my taxes were sent, I was penalized for an error on their part and no one explanation, no apology or refund was ever given. Martha is the main lady in charge and Silvia is her sister that has to get approval and said Martha would get back to me on HER mistake and I never heard back. Do not USE them! They overcharge and do not help you if they make a mistake! BEWARE read more

STAY AWAY! My husband's co-worker at prison recommended Martha to us, because they specialize in law enforcement area. We filed with Martha 2016-2018 and now in 2020 and 2021 have been audited multiple times and had to pay a bunch back to IRS! Whenever we contacted the firm for details they wouldn't get back to us! Such a mess! Everything might sounds good to you the year of filing and sounds like you are getting back a lot, but after 2-3 years you will start receiving letters from IRS! Not to mention how much she charges, 3 times more expensive than other firms! A place is small, front desk lady is rude, waiting time is long and no toilet for the clients! read more

I originally enjoyed coming here because it was easy and fast. I even recommend several folks to come here. Long story short... a friend of mine and myself were both were audited and they are responsible for dealing with it. They ignored all my calls and emails. They would say that someone will return my call but they never do. It's been over a month. So if you do choose to come here, please be aware. It didn't just happen to me. read more

Highly recommend Martha. Yes, you may have to wait but she definitely worth the wait !

As you can see with my original review... a lot has happened. I was told about Martha in 2015 by a co-worker at a prison. He said she was great and specialized in law enforcement taxes. I took his advice and began making the long drive. We came prepared with all of our receipts and paperwork. Martha was very nice and approachable. Our first tax return was more then usual but we thought this was because of installing solar and purchasing an new home. We continued to come to Martha for 2 more years because of the simplicity and quickness of getting our taxes prepared. Finally we decided not to take the 2 hour drive and try a local tax preparer who was recommended by a friend. This is when we found that Martha completely made up information on out 2017 Tax returns. In 2018 our new tax preparer was going through the previous years tax returns. She gave us a weird look and asked us about over $60,000 in Medical and Travel write offs. We had no clue what she was talking about. We have all of the information and Martha even made copies of what we gave her. Our new tax preparer said to be ready for an audit because it was one of the most red flagged returns she has ever seen. Fast forward 6 months later... Audit from the IRS. When trying to reach Martha she was not available and had to work with someone through email who was talking to her. When we asked about then medical and travel Expense numbers they said it was because of the new Tax code and lots of people were audited..... Really... making up medical expenses and travel expenses has nothing to do with the tax code. Several other people from my Prison were audited by the IRS who also go to Martha. We payed the money back because it wasn't ours to begin with. We had to pay several hundred dollars in interest. Our new tax preparer is helping us with reporting Martha for her negligence. I have no idea how she is still operating. I am not the only one this has happened to. Look at her online reviews. Martha you may be a sweet approachable person but that does not give you the right to be dishonest on people's returns. You caused a lot of stress in my life. read more

Read all the bad reviews and you will find most all have the same thing in common! YOU WILL BE AUDITED if you go to Martha. Your big return will be because of outright fraud committed by her AND you will never hear from her or get help from her. She is a crook with not enough integrity to return a call or email, once the audit starts you are hung out to dry! Im reporting to every agency i can as well as reporting to irs as a fraud preparer. Ive been through IRS hell for the past 2 years an still unresolved owing thousands of dollars. I will go to small claims court just to see if she will lie to the judge if she bothers to show up. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! And everyone pissed off at this place file a complaint with Better Business Bureau and file a 14157 form with the IRS - both simple to do. The 14157 is a Tax Preparer complaint form with irs, if enough are filed maybe they will shut this business down ! read more

This is the most unprofessional tax service I have ever dealt with. Martha will make claims on your taxes without your knowledge resulting in an IRS audit. When you try to contact her, she never returns your call. Leaving you to deal with trying to explain deductions to the IRS that you were never aware of. Martha claimed over $20,000 in business expenses on my taxes. I never provided her with any such receipts or documentation or statement to indicate such. Two years ago I was audited by the IRS owing almost $20000 in back taxes because of this and now for those same years I'm being audited by the State. Starting off with a $3500 bill for 2017 but I'm sure the 2018 will follow. It truly disgusts me on how a business could do this to so many people and not be held accountable. If I could rate a 0, I would. BEWARE the outcome will not be in your favor!!!!! read more

Martha and her staff have always gone above and beyond to help us. Martha is knowledgeable and above all takes the time to listen to each individual situation that we have. Their knowledge and commitment to helping us has continued to be the reason we drive hours to work with her. If you are looking for someone who will look at every option to maximize your return and guidance this is the place.. read more

If zero stars was an option. I had an appointment on March 3rd. I dropped off my documents in February and it is just now done and today is April 9th. I called and emailed every day waiting for answers. The only reason it is done is because I showed up at the office and one of the other ladies did my taxes. I never got to speak to Martha who my appointment was with then to top it off the fee was $980. It goes up every year. read more

I do NOT recommend this place besides being rude and unprofessional Martha my tax preparer made several mistakes on last year's taxes now I am being audited by the IRS don't do your taxes with these scumbags read more

Been going here since 2012. Been audited 3 times. Currently getting ignored by Martha who refuses to assist with the audit SHE created. Took my taxes to a real CPA today who took a quick look and stated Martha is crooked and won't be in business very much longer. He also said I'd be audited again. And again and again if she keeps doing my taxes. She wrote off shit like Geothermal Pumps which I NEVER had. Solar, which was never even mentioned to her. She is shady and will NOT back her work during an audit! read more

Been going to martha for almost 9years .. this time around with covid-19 going around i had the option to do a drop off so she could complete my taxes all i would have to do is go in pay and sign. Well i was unable to go so i had her send by mail . Filed 4/21/19 and just received notice From irs i have not completed them . So i called and ask all they did was keep sending me the confirmation that my irs taxes have been transmitted as of 7/26/19 so i dont know if she did it late or what because i get no response. After paying a ridiculous increase in charges this year now i get this plus i notice my F -taxes where not even done by her but by rona one of her employees . Very disappointed read more

What a joke. This year she is so unprofessional. Booked appt in Dec. for 2/23/22. Took her a week to call me. Then she had me making $10000 more then I did. Left messages ever week after 5 weeks and no returned calls. I went into office. Expressed I was very unhappy was told to come back later for my paperwork. Went back and was given my originals to go get them done elsewhere. 1 week before due date . After 16 years this is what I get. STAY AWAY SHE IS THE WORST!! read more

I was referred to Martha from a friend about ten years. I always make sure that I have all categories that are tax deductible ready. Book in advance so if you are in a hurry, but I like to wait more until the deadline to make sure that I have everything I need assuring that I haven't overlooked something. Over the years I call ahead to see if she is running behind and her staff let me know as well. Martha is high in demand because she is up to date and highly knowledge and up to date with tax laws. I was surprised to see the negative reviews and yet each year she is highly in demand. I have been extremely happy with her professionalism and Martha has always has responded to my e-mails. Believe me she is worth the wait, unfortunately working with people, sometimes you do run behind because of client questions and discussion; in other words, she is not a drive through. Martha is balanced in her work so that every customer achieves the optimal results. :) read more

The owner Martha was great in the beginning, she found us nice returns. And then the IRS came calling, where was she? That's a good question, she would not take our calls, would not answer our e-mails. This is after about 8 years of seeing her and recommending her to Family and Friends. We paid her $350 every year for 8+ years and as soon as the IRS audits us she dropped us like a hot potato. We then looked a little closer at our taxes and discovered that she was putting down information that we did not give her. Why she would falsify our documents is beyond me but now that I think about it, it did bring us back year after year. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GET YOUR TAXES DONE... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!! read more

This company is ridiculous!! Martha, the tax person our family used, has cost our family so much money, because she lets IRS deadlines pass for no valid reason, refuses to return phone calls or keep scheduled appointments and continually tells you to just wait a little longer. Waiting with the IRS is the absolute worst thing you can do. Her communication skills are atrocious. Seriously, they should change their names to "UNPROFESSIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES". I'm blown away at her lack of professionalism. Our family trusted her and we believed her emails when she told us "I'm working on it." She's a liar. DO. NOT. TRUST. THIS. COMPANY! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. we went to Martha starting a few years back, everything was okay the first year and then after that it got progressively worse. She charges based on how much your refund is, which is not legal, there is not set pricing on her taxes, she dodged our calls and screwed up our taxes. After countless calls and emails to her with no response we showed up to the office and were told by two different people that she was there, and then that she wasn't there. She avoided us, at all costs, we drove all the way from sacramento and she still refused to see us, emailing and calling over and over and the front desk folks just saying she'll take care of the mistake i ended up getting a letter stating there would be a lien. She's horribly unprofessional and money hungry. I wish i could give ZERO stars. Avoid this place; she's terrible service is terrible she doesn't care at all about her clients or helping them. read more

This is the most unprofessional tax service I have ever encountered and the customer service is terrible to say the least. i have been going to Martha for 8 years and these last 2 years things changed. The office staff never answer the phone, they won't return your calls, including Martha. She won't return calls or respond to emails. If you have questions regarding your taxes or have an issue that needs addressed, good luck because it's nearly impossible to reach Martha. Extremely poor customer service, I used to go in person for my appointments, then the appointment were conducted over the ohone during Covid, now Martha doesn't even conduct business over the phone. You simply get an email when your taxes are completed and no room for asking questions as she won't respond. Also, my 2020 taxes were done by Martha and I paid $560 to have them done and she never filed them. In June 2022, I received a notice from the IRS and is how I knew. Martha would never respond I had to go thru an assistant to finally get them filed. It was a nightmare. Lastly, my tax appointment this year was scheduled for 6/30/22 and I took the day off work. I waited and no one called me back at the appointment time. when I tried to reach out no one answered and finally I was able to get a hold of one of the office staff who told me Martha was not available yet no one ever contacted me to let me know! I would never ever recommend anyone to this tax firm! I am actually surprised they are still in business read more

I have been a client of Martha's for over 20 years. She is professional, honest, and operates her business by giving her customers a loyalty and dependability they appreciate. It's why I go back to Martha year after year. Martha and her team always make, what could be a very stressful time of year, a smooth & positive experience. She cares about what you need and goes above and beyond, even outside of tax season. I can always depend on her to ensure the integrity of my taxes year after year. Martha and her team are highly recommended and anyone would be lucky to have this group as their tax preparers. read more

They are very unprofessional. We had an appointment set up 3 MONTHS in advance with someone named Martha. The girl at the front desk was rude telling us to fill out paperwork and sign in. We did this. After sitting there for an hour and them taking people back who came in after us, we decided to leave. I would NOT recommend them to anyone! read more

Had an appointment and l literally waited over an hr after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Why bother scheduling an appointment

We have been going to Martha for over 10 years and we love her. The wait is long 1-2 hours, but when you see your return it's all worth it.

You'll wait awhile even if you have an appointment, but Martha is well worth the wait!!! She'll get you every last can't the state and go owes you!!! The other staff are great as well!!! read more
