First and foremost, I have been taking my renewals with ProfessionalCPR since 2020, in Modesto. Today my instructor was Sarah. I have no complaints, never do. I have the option of taking renewals at my job for free, or this paying course. The course content is comprehensive yet easily digestible. What truly sets the courses apart is the hands-on approach to learning. Under the guidance of experienced instructors. Opportunities to practice CPR techniques on mannequins and simulate real scenarios. Whether you're a seasoned healthcare professional or a novice in the field, the curriculum caters to all levels of expertise. From basic CPR techniques to advanced life support strategies, every aspect of life. Whether you're renewing your certification, embarking on a journey to become a healthcare worker, or to just have the knowledge "IN CASE". This course is a worthwhile investment in both your professional and personal development. Josh was a fantastic instructor. His Modesto classroom was clean and well organized. Josh led an engaging and fun class. He recognizes that taking a CPR class has not always been fun or exciting. I really enjoyed his class and the time flew by. Our Wednesday night class was a smaller group, but he made sure to engage with each of us. It was a very open format where we were not just lectured to, we were able to ask questions. Josh and his other instructors are actual Fire Fighters or Paramedics, so these folks have seen it all. I have taken CPR classes before and at one time had my first responders certification and my EMT-B. Though that was back in 1998, Josh taught me a few things and it was nice to be so well informed of the latest best practices. I never worked as an EMT so the skills I had been taught were not very fresh. At the end of the class we had a short discussion about having Josh and his team train the staff of one of my friend's companies. They do a lot of corporate on-site training. Based on my experiences in his class, I think having a company-wide CPR class would actually be fun. My wife and I are now CPR Trained, understand how/when to use an AED and have current First Aid Training. I feel more confident than ever for a situation that would call for CPR or First Aid. I took a BLS Provider course on 12/3/20 at this location. Location: I chose one of the nighttime slots which made finding the room location a little difficult. I didn't realize it was behind the building initially, but once back there, a large banner made the room easier to find. The room was small but fine for the small class of like 6 people in my slot. Instructor: I am sad to say that I don't remember her name because she was so amazing. I would guess that she might have been the Sarah mentioned in other reviews because she was really funny and made the class much more enjoyable with her personality and humor. She also works as an EMT with lots of experience and shared some of those experiences in a way that emphasized the importance of the things she was teaching. She answered every question I had and totally made sure we understood everything in a way that we could ace our tests at the end, which I did! Thank you (Sarah)! read more

These folks do a great job. Honestly the best/most interesting/least confusing CPR class I've ever taken: hands down. It was cheaper than I spent a few years ago, and succinct in its content and delivery. The instructor (Joseph Gallegos) was fun and extremely knowledgeable. He made it enjoyable to spend a Saturday morning re-learning CPR. Also, I feel the most confident about actually USING CPR to help save someone if the need arises after taking this class. In past classes I've taken, it is always so convoluted that I worried I wouldn't be able to remember the steps involved to use CPR. But not after this class. Mr. Gallegos explained the science behind it in a way that makes sense intuitively, and aides in the process so you know why you're doing what you're doing in CPR. I will take this class again when I need to recertify, and I will be referring them to my friends and colleagues too. read more

Attended CPR First Aid AED recertification training for work, today. Josh and Taylor were excellent trainers! Up to this point, I have had over 1/2 dozen of these trainings and ProCPR is by far the best! Josh's common sense basics made the information easily digestible and memorable. He made the training fun, interactive and unlike every other training I've had, he did the hands on portion on the top 1/3 of the session! I loved his honest answers and real life stories that came from years of EMT experience. He really bolstered my confidence in my ability to perform basic life saving techniques. He focused on helping us learn the most crucial steps and reinforced the information with practical demonstration, fascinating statistics, and real-life examples. I love how this place lives up to its name! I took my class here today, and I have to say this was by far the best class I've took out of the 3 bls renewal classes I've took! First of all, thank you very much to Sarah. She's honestly so amazing at her job and teaching. I'm an LVN at a skilled nursing facility, and she actually showed me better/convenient tips that I've been using. She was very detailed oriented, confident, outgoing and the fact that she was actually a First Responder dealing with these situations on a day to day basis were key factors on why this was my my top choice. Sarah did not make the class boring, she made it entertaining to where we all wanted to keep focus. My next renewal class will for sure be here next time, hopefully with Sarah. 6/30/2023 The class was clean and well-organized. The instructor made everyone feel welcome, and as soon as everyone began sharing their experiences, it felt more relaxed. The test covered exactly what the instructor taught...he kindly alerted us to the differences between one-person and 2-person CPR. The 2020 book came with a pocket guide. There were personal masks available to purchase. The First-Aide video was 35minutes more and covered every situation that everyone should be encouraged to see and learn in addition to CPR!!! I would highly recommend this company if you are able to walk upstairs. I was offered a table top mannequin for the hands-on due to recent knee surgery. He shared an excellent wealth of knowledge we can apply at our jobs whether or not we are in a hospital, clinic or office setting. read more

I am a former EMT who took the CPR, AED, and First Aid as a refresher and it was nice taking this basic course as a regular student. I have not taken a structured course since I left the field a little over two years ago and was looking to step back into getting some training. Dennis taught the class geared towards the person who has no previous experience who is looking to step into gaining more knowledge of how to help their family, friends, coworkers, and children. Of course this class is not for health care providers so if you're looking for more advanced training they offer more courses for the skilled health care providers. The class was enjoyable and you will find you will leave the class with confidence that you will be able to provide sufficient care until EMS arrives. read more

I recently completed the CPR certification class with Morgan as the instructor, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Morgan was clear, engaging, and made sure everyone felt confident in performing CPR techniques. I had to take a CPR class to start my EMT certification this fall and our instructor was Mr.Dennis. Let me tell you..!! Dennis is a great teacher. He made the class enjoyable , stopped a lot to allow questions and covered a lot of info in such a short period of time but didn't overwhelm us. I will definetly be taking this class again to renew my card and I'd recommend it to all my friends and family as well. I took the class that gives you your cards the same day, if you're scared or nervous to take it, don't be. It's super easy and probably lasted a good hour and 45 min. Once you actually get to the hands on part of the class when you're acting on the mannequins, everything that you learned earlier will make sense. overall i'd rate the class and Dennis a 15/10 read more

I enrolled in the Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED/First-Aid certification course ($95.00) at the Modesto location. The campus was clean, had plenty of parking, and was easy to locate. Upon entering, I was greeted by Dennis, and a good size class. The atmosphere was inviting and not intimidating at all. I felt Dennis did a fantastic job training the class on the proper use of CPR/AED and how to address emergencies requiring first-aid knowledge. All in all, I will be returning in two years to renew my certification and will recommend others here for all their CPR/First-Aid needs! The only downfall I found was that the building was not accessible to all individuals, especially those requiring a wheelchair. read more

I attended the class in Modesto on04/30/16. Best class I have ever attended. Classes I had before had books, other classes had the singing method, I even had someone telling us we had to keep up with the tap she was doing. The CPR I did online one year was ok, but since I didn't do the hands on position I don't know if I would of felt comfortable doing CPR. This class if the need arises I know I won't have a problem doing it. I teach a Young at Heart strengthening class for seniors (volunteer work) and most of the people are from 60 to 90. I know I would feel comfortable if I had to do CPR on them. I'm also saving money to buy my own AED machine for I can use it if needed on anyone in the class. read more

I attended one of the classes where Sarah A. was the instructor. Right off the bat I could tell this was going to be an interesting class. I thought to myself "there is no way this young goddess could know much about CPR" but I rightfully proven wrong. She was incredible knowledgable and know how to instruct. She was able to make it so easy to understand, the dummy in the class could save a real life, and I don't mean myself. She gave us tips and trick to actually performing CPR that I will carry with me till the day I need it done to me. I would rate higher if i could for how well Sarah was as an instructor as well for how easy on the eyes she was, but sadly all it'll allow me to do is 5/5 read more

I attended this class on Saturday and it was probably the best one yet. Joseph (Joe) was the instructor, and right away, he made me feel at ease. Sometimes these classes can be dry and kinda boring. He encouraged questions during the presentation and made sure if the answer happened to be that it would be covered later in the class, it really was !! He didn't have to tell stories about what he has seen during his career. His presentation was all that was needed. If all the instructors are like him, this training will be one I look forward to. I attended a CPR Training that was informative, interestiing, and fun. The instructor had a sense of humor and welcomed questions , even silly questions. He provided up to date information which does change time to time. I really enjoyed the class, which is a first. I recommend this training to to all. The instructor was very patient and professional. He was an excellent trainer and made CPR sound relatively easy to do on children as well as adults. He also explained why we do CPR and what signs to look for before proceeding with CPR and when to stop. We learned how to access the situation and of course to always use common sense. Chuck was an awesome teacher and I enjoyed taking his class. He's nice and a funny guy. There was only 3 of us which made it nice. Its in a clean environment and nice equipment. My only gripe was the confusion of the yelp deal they have. It only works for the beginning cpr class not the health care type for health professionals. They were understanding though and said they called yelp to fix it (so get on that yelp) before purchasing that make sure to call them on what class you need. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back to get my recertification in 2 years. I hope to see you again chuck in two years! read more

Dennis was our instructor and was personable, funny, and very knowledgeable - it was a BLS renewal for me and I still learned a few new things. He didn't waste our time and due to the small number in our class and his efficiency, we got out a little early which was awesome. They are reasonably priced and right off 99, so easily accessible. I loved that I got an email reminding me my BLS was expiring - the whole process was easy to click through and register and pay without having to hunt anything down. I signed up for the wrong class and did not realize until after the class started. Not being a whiner, I did not call and complain, simply signed up elsewhere for correct American Heart Association BLS. After posting a negative yelp review got a call and voila, please come in tonight and we will fix it, thank you for accommodating me and not charging me twice! I still think the content was a bit repetitive but as I know realize it was for non professionals that's completely understandable! This was such a great class! Super informative and really engaging. This was my first experience taking CPR training with Josh as the instructor. Not only did the time fly by but I now feel equipped with the knowledge I need in case of an emergency. My husband and I have taken CPR training in the past that was super boring so naturally I was dreading having to take it again.
