Cracked jokes and was patience. He's an artist for sure. He's great with suggestions and does exactly what you ask for. If you're getting some custom nails it's best to bring a photo for reference. For the work that he did I'm surprised how fast our appointment went. I'd say it took about an hour and 45 minutes, which is crazy for the detail on my nails. This nail salon is so convenient, lots of free parking, and I love that I can just walk in on a busy Sunday afternoon and ask for a pedicure. I usually get the deluxe pedicure, which is $43 and costs an additional$5 for the callous removal. I love how soft the sugar scrub makes my legs and how clean everything feels! And I especially appreciated how Amy made the scrub into a super strong massage! It took about 45 minutes including drying time. I had a horrific experience. First my toe was shaped obviously crooked for my pedicure. When I asked her to fix it she tried to convince me that it wasn't. Then she gave me back my nail polish and got it all over my hand and purse before I realized she didn't shut it all the way or got it all over the outside of the bottle. Either way it was a mess. She got my red polish all over the outside of my toes, when I asked her to please remove it she was rude. After that she stopped being nice and was snarky. During my manicure I asked if I should take off my freshly cleaned diamonds, she said no then dropped a huge glob of lotion on my rings and started a mediocre massage. She also refused to help me put my shoes on when I left. I contacted the salon due to how uncomfortable the whole experience made me. They first told me to come in to redo the service with another technician but then changed their mind and offered me 10% off. Unprofessional, unacceptable, and just really disappointed. I expected the salon to take more responsibility and offer better compensation. I go to a spa to feel nurtured not unappreciated or unwanted. read more

I've been coming here for 10+ years so I've seen the highs and lows of this business. Before COVID, this place was warm, welcoming, and so friendly. I got close to Tina and Tony who basically watched me grow up and have been serviced by Janet and Coco who are also amazing. After COVID, this place pushed the "business" aspect. Everything felt rushed and at times it feels like the workers felt unhappy or stressed. They added more chairs and more staff making this place feel more cramped than ever. I continue to come back because I appreciate the service Tina and Tony continues to do for me after the many years I have been coming here. If it was not for them, I probably would have found a new nail place and new nail tech/manicurist. I typically do gel pedicures and occasional gel manicures. I like their online booking system. Sometimes my appointment time is honored and other times they are so busy that I wait about 10-15 minutes until it is my turn despite scheduling an appointment in advance. Do I recommend this place? I wouldn't recommend Trina, she rushes the job. I had an appt at 10am, the place was full and no pedicure seats were open. I could hear the worry in the receptionist's yells to the workers. She asks me if I would like someone else bc Trina was with a different client and I decline bc they switched up on me last minute before and I wasn't happy with it. Come to learn, I should've anyway since Trina wanted to take my one relaxing part of the week and shorten it to a less than 30m experience. I get seated around 10:10am. Dipped my feet in cold water, I was like ??? where's the warmth. Then I wasn't given time to soak my feet since she wanted to get right to it. There was minimal clean up of the cuticles and exfoliation. Yes, I only ordered a basic pedi with gel but everything seemed rushed and I despised it. Even if she had another client coming, it shouldn't make my experience feel any less. She finished by 10:40am. I was with my sister and waited for her to finish since she too had to wait for a working seat. She was still in the middle of getting her feat scrubbed by the time Trina was done with me. I'm giving a 2 star bc I set my sister up with Irene and according to her, she was super nice. Irene took her time with my sister and she was very pleased with the job. I could tell Irene put effort. While waiting for my sister I saw Trina on her phone just chilling. I thought another one of her clients came in already which is why she rushed me, but nope! They didn't just do a basic pedicure--my calf massage included a Turkish mitt exfoliation that left my legs silky smooth, followed by a real reflexology foot massage that melted away tension. I went here because of a previous manicurist who is no longer there. Big mistake! Nails were uneven, hardly any cuticle work, files like she dislikes you, and she said she'd give me a round shape because my nails weren't long enough but my nails look unnatural and round in general! Don't tell me the requested tech is "coloring their hair"! Do you think a customer wants to hear that!? If that was the case, I should have been notified PRIOR to my scheduled appointment that I wouldn't get the requested tech. And if that wasn't possible, you folks should've had techs READILY available to REPLACE the tech who HAD to color his hair. Summer, the owner, also did my manicure. She didn't even give me a massage (it states on the website, all manis gets massages), she made my cuticle bleed (it was burning under the UV light, ouch), and every time she was done with my hand, she threw it back at me. Excuse me Ms. ma'am, don't you dare take your frustration out on me, trying to rush through my mani just because YOU folks failed to replace the tech who had to color his hair. Went there for a couple years and liked everyone and always received a decent to pretty good job for manicures, pedicures and brow waxing. I cannot in good conscience wholly recommend for any/everyone. If you are an occasional customer and/or have lots of time on your hands, this could be a good choice. It is very close for Waikele residents so that is a plus and you will get a pretty good end product. If you are looking for a good regular service, this may not be the place for you. Technicians change constantly so you cannot make an appt w a particular person if you prefer that. Pricing is different than posted and different every time if that bothers you. They are very busy and there is no point in ever making an appt or trying to secure an appt on or before a busy day or weekend. All customers are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. I've tried all different ways starting with opening time. (The opened late that day.) I've made appointments way ahead of time and also within a few hours to no avail. Although it appears that you can make an appointment by phone, none of that matters when you arrive. You will always feel like a new customer with no appointment. Also not a good place to bring someone as a gift or treat just because it is not a relaxing atmosphere and chances are good that the two of you wait around a while like you had no appointment that started 30 mins ago. Even that is understandable sometimes but not acknowledging it is not. My recommendation is to go a little farther out where you can make regular 4-6 week appts to get a more consistent service somewhere where you're more likely to have someone know your name eventually. And always, tip well when you do -especially holidays. read more

Scheduling was easy and I'll admit it was surprisingly busy - it doesn't look that big from the outside, but it was quite busy for a Friday morning. It's a very clean and well run place and everyone is very nice. My tech was young and got to business quickly. I had some runner's callouses that she took care of and the deluxe pedicure was well worth the price. Pros - clean, sanitary, nice polish. Cons - massage very short (compared to other places I'd been to), nails were cut rather sloppy (uneven), and the cuticles were also not cut down, felt it was rushed. Despite having the deluxe, I was outta there in 40 minutes. Other places were at least 1 hour, often longer. I don't think I'll return, but again, it wasn't all bad. I just think there are other places that are better than this one. I do wish them success bc they were all so nice. read more

You know, some nail salons make you feel unwelcome or you just get a little anxious when another language is spoken in front of you, but not here!
