When I stopped on Friday morning to walk the dog, I was shocked to see the parking lot (which holds 60+ cars) almost full. They have 8 pickle-ball courts and they were full with a line of people waiting for a court The pangs of the balls were pretty loud and disrupted any peacefulness that the park has to offer. There is even a set of bleachers to watch the pickle-ball games. Anyway, the park does have an amazing playscape, perhaps the best in the Indy area. There are multiple climbing structures, swings for all abilities, a merry go round type structure and more. There is soft matting under the structures to keep the kids safe. Kids were having a blast. In addition, there is a colorful and awesome splash pad. There are nice benches, some covered, to sit and watch the kids. The park also has a walking trail into a wooded area, which is not paved, just gravel. There is some natural prairie vegetation. Trees have been recently planted. There are a nice set of restrooms including a family restroom. I also saw a small pavilion with picnic tables. Bottom line, while it's a bit crowded and loud, this is a great park with lots of fun things to do.

There is a decent amount of parking available but this park does get packed. The park features 8 very nice, fenced in, pickleball courts, a large playground, an active splash pad. The park also have two shelters with picnic tables under them and some benches under small shelter-like structures that provides some relief from the blazing sun. The splash pad has a lot going on. There are sprinklers, pouring buckets, sprayers, waterfalls and lots more. It is very nice and open from 9am to 8pm. The playground is modern and is Divided into zones for children aged 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. It is laid on a combination of artificial turf and rubberized, mud-free, surfacing. The playground features a swing bank with traditional and ADA swings, a net cone merry go round, a slide on artificial turf covered hills and a small jungle gym structure with a couple of slides and bridges. The highlight of the playground though is the towering jungle gym with a bunch of tall slides, ropes, and bridges. It is one of the first things that you will see when you arrive at the park. Additional amenities at the park include a water fountain that is capable of filling bottles, a restroom facility and a patch of green space to play catch or just throw a blanket down and relax, hiking trails that lead to and from downtown Bargersville. It is a small, but very well designed park. I will admit, that it does get packed during nice weather, no school days, especially on weekends. I really like this park. Bargersville has began to invest in parks, which is nice. This is definitely a must visit while in the Center Grove/Bargersville area.

This park has been the benefactor of numerous Eagle Scouts projects, the flower beds, the gazebo, picnic tables, and benches to name a few. This is a what you see is what you get kind of park. It is a small park tucked away in a neighborhood. It is nice and has a small parking lot. There is a small porta-potty in the parking lot to use and the park is relatively well maintained. There is a small paved path on the perimeter of the park, 5 laps gets you a mile. The path doubles as a story walk and has benches along it to sit. You will also find a couple of picnic tables under some trees and a share a book kiosk along the trail. The park has a wooden statue of an eagle sitting on a brick pedestal. It is dedicated to William Torrence, a boy scout that was instrumental in establishing the park. The heart of the park is a playground area that is accessible and lined with wood chips. There is a saucer swing, a bank of traditional swings, small jungle gym with a slide, and a larger jungle gym with a couple of slides, some congos and monkey bars. The equipment seems relatively new and is in good shape. The area has a ramp to allow all kids the chance to play on the equipment. Just off of the play area is a open field that can be used to play catch, have a football game, or other outdoor activities. It is in a low lying area of the park, so it is prone to flooding and water retention. This is a good neighborhood park. I would not travel to far to come here, but it can provide hours of fun for the little ones, as well as those wishing to walk their four legged friend or just get their steps in.

There is drainage in the middle of the walking loop so that the area by the parking lot doesn't flood easily. The path is smooth blacktop to provide solid footing. There are benches along the path for those who want to rest while at the park. And I counted six picnic tables under the shade of the mature trees in the middle. Pretty nice place! The park has definite signs of Boy Scout involvement. One of the two pergolas on the path has a dedication plaque to former scouts. A carved eagle also sits on a pedestal with a plaque with an eagle scout symbol. I believe that I read the scouts help maintain the flower beds as well. The park is still very flat, so there may be some puddles on part of the path. However, I had no risk of getting wet feet since the path was wide enough to accommodate my walking. I think the park has great potential if it stays maintained. Lots of trees were planted and vines were set near the pergolas to offer shady tunnels once the spring growth occurs. I look forward to visiting again! Review #581

It kind of blends in with the pavement. As far as amenities go, it has a softball field and two large fields that can be used for football/soccer. I also has a gazebo and a covered pavilion with picnic tables and grill that is available for rent, two separate playground areas and two full basketball courts. The park currently has construction going on right in front of the entrance and is nestled between 2 neighborhoods. There is a huge ditch with running water running down the center of the park. Good luck if you get a ball in there. The park has two bridges that cross over the ditch. There is is running trail that runs through and another one that runs in front of the park. The one in front is longer. The one in the park looks like it just connects the two neighborhoods. The park has ample parking available in its private lot. Fun fact: The park serves as the southern border for the Tracy Trail System. There is a playground that consists of a small jungle gym contraption with a couple of slides coming out from it. The other playground has a larger jungle gym and some swings. The equipment is a bit older, but in good repair and well maintained. The playground floor is lined with wood chips. The basketball courts are decent. All the rims have nets, and the courts are clean. They are not like the modern courts that have been popping up at new parks, but they are well maintained and get the job done. The park has seasonal hours and a seasonal restroom facility that is not operational during the winter. This is a nice park, but limited as far as what other parks offer. It is a good spot for those in the local neighborhoods to shoot some hoops or take the kids to the playground.

The East side has a shelter and grill, while the west side has a gazebo with a grill. The entrance to the park for visitors outside the neighborhood is on the eastern half. There is a spacious lot and two basketball courts laid end to end. Near the middle of the park is a permanent restroom building though it's open only during the park season. Everything seemed to be in decent shape, though it could use a little spring cleaning. Review #546

You will 2 basketball goals just outside of the park's fence and the parking lot is the court. The park is basically a playground. There is nothing else to outside of its playground equipment. Outside of services or an event going on at the church, parking is easily obtained in the lot that the park shares with the church The park has a shelter with a picnic table under it and benches placed around for parents to sit while their littles play. There is also a bank of swings with some traditional and expression swings, a caterpillar tunnel, a water well and percussion instruments. The equipment is very nice and appears to be pretty new. The playground is on a bed of wood chips and the grounds are well maintained. Additional the park has a dog clean up kiosk, a share a book box, and a bike rack. Even though this playground is small, it is still very nice and entertained my little. It is well maintained and you can tell that a lot of effort, planning and love went into this park. I would not make this a destination park per se, mostly due to its limited amenities, but it is well worth a visit if you are anywhere near the area.

I'm usually visiting parks with my children, but this time, I did not. How luxurious to enjoy a park as an adult without children! Ingrained habits die hard, though, and I still made a beeline for the playground to check it out. The playground at Craig Park has some fun and somewhat modern equipment: multiple slides, traditional swings, things to climb. The playground area has wood chips on the ground. There's also a surprising amount of shade on the playground because of all of the trees around the area. Shade is so nice and kind of rare in a playground! Near the playground, there's a gaga ball court, pickleball courts and the aforementioned tennis courts. If you walk a little ways away from the playground -- just follow the paved trail -- you'll find a few different spots with fun things to play on along the way.
