If there was a negative 10 stars rating, I would rate my experience that lowly. I went to Jonny originally to get help in a relationship. It later turned out that he began working to change other things, all without discussing with me whether I wanted that or not. My experience, over and over again, was that Jonny would make global, declarative statements about my internal experience without asking or checking with me about the validity of those statements. There is a clear difference between internal and external experiences - our feelings, our wants, our desires, our difficulties, our beliefs are all internal experiences. External experiences are observable in the physical world. Body language is in the realm of the external world. We can observe each other's body language and facial expressions, but we can never truly know what another is thinking, feeling, believing, or wanting without asking them. We can guess, but it will only be a guess, and it is important to check in with them from time to time to make sure both people are on the same page. A therapists' job is not to read your facial expressions and body language in order to tell you what your internal experience should be. That is called a mentalist, not a therapist. We can never dictate or control someone else's internal experience. We can never force them want something they don't want, to feel something they don't feel, to believe something they don't believe, or to think something they aren't thinking. I say this because Jonny told me several times what I wanted, and mostly, what I didn't want. Some examples: Within 2-3 sessions he began telling me there were certain sexual experiences I wouldn't want to wait for. On another occasion, he said he could give me a list of over 200 books which would be helpful for me to read, but then deliberately withheld the list saying "You don't want that." The more sessions that went by the more prolific he was in telling me what I didn't want. At a later point in time, when wrapping up a session, he was supposedly checking to see if a change had taken effect (any respectable and well trained hypnotist knows how important it is to check that the client feels better about the problem they came in with), and he still didn't ask me how I felt! He just remarked, "You wouldn't have done [X] if you weren't okay." I was thinking to myself, is this what it feels like to be okay doing [X]? Well...okay... I guess... but I don't like the way I feel. I remember thinking to myself often, if he would only bother to ask me, or give me time to speak, he would find out that my thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and wants are different than what he thinks. One time, I remember trying desperately to tell him that he was on the wrong track with me. I tried very hard to get his attention several times during that session. At one point I interrupted him because he had been talking for more than 40 minutes straight at this point, and he said to me, "You don't want to interrupt this lesson", and he kept right on going until there were only 10 minutes left in the session, so I never even got to tell him what I wanted to say. And the more sessions I had with him, the more I came to realize that he was not ever going to ask me what my internal experience was - he was going to continue making sweeping, declarative statements to me about what my internal experience should be. When I finally told him about a suppressed traumatic memory that had surfaced to my conscious awareness, he never asked me how I felt about it. He just responded, when people first have that experience, "it's shocking". Again, even with a trauma, he minimized my feelings, my beliefs, my thoughts, and jumped straight to telling me how I should have felt in that moment (i.e. shocked, when what I really felt was helpless, overwhelmed, terrified, frozen). These are only a few examples, there are more. And worst of all, he calls this behavior caring and loving to his clients. If there is one thing I'd enjoy imparting to any reader of this review, its that when anyone tries to overwrite your internal experiences with their perception of you, if you believe them it has the psychological effect of causing you to doubt yourself and to doubt your reality. Done repeatedly, it can cause you to lose complete trust in yourself. This is not called love or caring - it is called gaslighting and it has serious consequences on the psyche. It can cause codependency, addiction, and self harming behavior. It takes years to heal from. years. Please don't let anyone, not even a therapist, a hypnotist, no one, tell you who you are or what limitations you have. Dear reader, please don't believe anyone who tries to dictate and control your internal experience. Please learn to trust your own reality. Trusting yourself is as the very heart of loving yourself. Would not recommend. Remember that by choosing to work with this person, you are choosing to let this person influence your psyche, your unconscious mind. Please do not take that lightly. I recommend you educate yourself and find someone who will treat you with respect. Just because someone claims to be spiritual does not mean they are respectful, well adjusted, loving, kind, enlightened or focused on your well being- despite their claims to the contrary. Pay attention to the difference in the person's talk and their actions. When you are dealing with a narcissist there is usually a big difference between the two. You can certainly find more skilled, emotionally whole, kind, and loving practitioners who can help you heal to the deepest part of your being- I have met at least 15 personally after working with Johnny. I have also met 2 other narcissist practitioners - steer clear of those that you find. If you feel that you are being manipulated, then you probably are. Learn what covert narcissism looks like and how to protect yourself. In sessions, do you feel like you are being handed declarations, decrees, and demands to change rather than helpful suggestions and ideas? Do you feel like you are being "talked at" rather than being "talked with"? Are you being constantly interrupted in conversation? Do you feel that your concerns are being ignored and dismissed as unimportant? Do you feel like you are being talked down to, as if you are a lesser person than they? Trust your ability to discern for yourself. Use boundaries to choose how you will allow yourself to be treated. There is no good reason you need to choose to work with this person. I came to see Jonny at a very low moment in my life. I'm not going to get into the details, but I was going through a really rough patch in my life. I experienced a sort of mid life crisis, I was experiencing a lot of fear, depression, negative thoughts...basically I was unhappy and I couldn't seem to resolve it myself. A friend recommended that I see Jonny (one of her friends had seen him and had a really transformational experience) so I decided to give him a call. I came in to Process Potential with a bunch of concerns on my mind. My main concern was my self-confidence. I've had issues with weight control for a long time and was not as healthy as I'd like to be. My low self-esteem was affecting my ability to connect with other people, both personally and professionally. Before I came to Process Potential, I had seen multiple psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists. Nobody could seem to help my anxiety and depression in an effective nor timely manner. I had already spent so many years and so much money in therapy, I was reluctant to spend more, but wow it was really worth it! Jonny is unique in that he doesn't believe in labeling or diagnosing, this was tough for me at first, but I now understand the benefit of resisting labels. He spends more time focusing on who you'd like to become than where you came from. He is not the type of therapist you should go to if you just want to vent, he will push your comfort zone, challenge you (which can be intense at times), and help you make the changes you are looking for. It is definitely pricey to see him, but when I calculate how much I spent over the years in ineffective therapy, I wish I had found Jonny sooner. read more

Jonny has single handedly changed my entire life. His approach is very direct and honest, so if you want someone to just vent to, he's not the therapist for you. If you want fast, direct change, you will need to face your fears head on. To some that isn't so easy and when Jonny shows you your reflection, I can understand how it might scare others away. You have to be ready to change. I had been with over 4 other psychologists and psychiatrists for 5 years before I met Jonny, I wish I hadn't wasted my time with "soft" therapy. I am a stronger person now because I can handle someone giving me my truth in a very direct reflection. I can take criticism very well and I grow everyday because of it.
