I'm a 75 yr with chronic sciatica pain. Tried everything. Pain was becoming unbearable. Affecting my life and the things I enjoy doing. I always assumed insurance would not pay for a chiropractor. I was so desperate that I made an appointment with Proadjusters, after reading their reviews. I was so excited to go to my 1st appointment. I was not concerned about how much it would cost without insurance. To my surprise it was $45 co-pay after insurance. It could have been hundreds if it worked. To my surprise I have 6 hernia disc. Not only sciatica but both shoulders both hands tingling and painful. On the 1st treatment I had no relief, 3% of patients have negative outcomes or procedure just does not work. 2nd treatment NO sciatica pain for over 24 hrs. Then only minimal intermittent pain. 4 days later 3rd. Treatment, leaving office without pain. It's a miracle and I only wonder why surgeons and pain clinics do not suggest this treatment before major surgery or possible addiction from long term pain medication. As I sit here on my boat , fishing, without pain, how lucky I am to have found these guys. My next visit is in 2 days, prior to going back to work as a ER nurse without pain. I was given a plan today, so when I get constant relief I will continue to go when needed, hopefully monthly. I went to this office looking for help specifically with TMJ/jaw alignment after past dental surgery. I have more dental work that needs to be done but my Tmj/jaw alignment needed to be completed first. The staff and doctor were very welcoming, and I was super nervous but they made me feel comfortable during my first visit, which included a consultation, X-rays, and therapy -- but no adjustment. At my second appointment, I was told I have stage 2 arthritis in my joint, which I'm grateful they caught. However, I was informed I wouldn't receive an adjustment until the 4th visit, and that I'd need to come in again (and pay) just to discuss payment options. As someone paying fully out-of-pocket without insurance, this was frustrating -- especially since I came in primarily for TMJ treatment and expected to receive clearer, upfront pricing and treatment details earlier on. The lady in the office knew my situation after I told her if I'm not getting an adjustment I'm not paying and I will go somewhere else. So she threw the word adjustment making it seem like I was going to get one, she made me pay up front instead at the end. So she knew what to say just to get a payment out of me And I still walked out with no adjustment along with being even more frustrated. While everyone in the office was kind and professional, the 4-appointment process and costs weren't the right fit for me. I just wish the timeline and structure had been explained more clearly from the beginning. It may work well for others, but unfortunately it didn't work for my situation. read more

The worst chiropractor I've ever been too. They don't really care about your needs. They just use a machine and sit you down on a massage chair every visit. That's it. No improvement. I kept asking for X-rays or other testing but they just said my knee was inflamed and needed time to heal. A waste of money. I was told back in April to do the therapy. September rolls around and my back hurts worst than it did when I first started. Then I asked why is my right thigh shrinking and turning to jello. Beware! This office will illegally charge your credit cards for services not rendered. They continued to charge us for 2 months after our final payment. For 2 months we kept contacting them for a refund and for them to stop future charges and we were ignored. We were told multiple times to submit requests through their website, we did, but no one ever follows up or addresses the issue. We were charged a total of $270 and the only thing that got their attention was me saying I would leave a bad review. It's really sad that me reaching out for 2 months went ignored but a threat of a bad review gets the ball rolling. I do not suggest going here. We were finally refunded but I shouldn't have had to fight for it. read more

I have so much gratitude and honor to express how much this place has taken care of me. My back pain was absolutely horrible. Just imagine being 36 years old walking as that of an elder man in his late 80's. That was me. I could barely walk, used Walmart buggy's at the store and was almost in tears just sitting down or laying in bed. This is the very BEST treatment I have ever received, and in my line of work I've had at least 9 different Chiropractors in different states. I have always had great results with Chiro care and then one day I suffered immeasurable sciatic pain while taking care of my mother during her illness on 2020. I could not afford one day of pain, she needed all of my attention. It was a Saturday and I just randomly called phone numbers from the local phone book (I live out of stare) to find ANY chiropractor who would see a brand new patient on a Saturday. I feel SO LUCKY that I landed on Proadjustor link, and got to see Dr. Maggio. The whole office staff was great and the best part is that my pain went from 9 down to 1 over 3 days. I was able to give my mother all of the care and attention that she needed, and I had a spring in my step as I did so. I have continued to visit this practice (and had great results from the other 2 fine chiropractors there) and bow my father is a happy patent there. I had never seen the technology before, the computerized machine....and I was skeptical. NOW I tell everyone about it and I'm even trying to get my chiropractor in my home state to invest in this Proadjustor mechanism for his practice (selfishly, so I can go enjoy it's healing.) I am even considering investing in my home state chiropractors' practice in order to provide this to my referred colleagues and to myself. . The Proadjustor method is amazing and Dr. Maggio is wonderful, as well as the other 2 chiropractors and their kind staff. (sorry, I come in and visit from out of state so I don't remember the other two gentlemen's names right now.) Ain't chiropractor. I went there to get my knee adjusted they took an X-ray on my hips and put in ems/ tens machine which I got at home. I went to different chiropractor I got no luck nobody knows who to adjust a knee. But this is the worst one at least to other chiropractor place I went they put me in massage table and adjust my back but it doesn't help with my knee. Never go back to this chiropractor place again. I hope I can find a chiropractor that knows how to work or adjust the knee in Virginia Beach area or Hampton Roads . read more

Lost trust in them due to their billing practices. Never performed X-rays but I was charged anyway and they refused to adjust my bill. Was promised on my second visit that I could get a manual adjustment on my next visit instead of that electro-mechanical rig, but I never got that either. This place is a scam. When I first went there they took x-rays and then refused to show me the x-rays but instead recommended a treatment path. When pressed, they couldn't produce the xrays. On top of this, they billed me for them. Again when pressing the billing person, it was an act of God to get these charges refunded. Yesterday was my very first visit in my life to see a chiropractor. I had always hear horror stories about and wanted to stay far away. However, I was recently convinced to give it a try and I am glad I did! I got a tour of the place which was very bright and friendly. Then after a consultation, they used this cool machine to see if there were any problem areas in my spine. Here's the most important thing: It did NOT hurt AT ALL!! It's almost felt like a little massage even! This computer was then able to show where I am locked up and why I have pain and tension in those areas. When you think about a Chiropractor, the first thing that comes to mind is someone cracking your neck or back. At this place, it's a whole different story. A machine called the ProAdjuster is used instead, which is painless and gives Dr. Maggio a readout on your problem areas. I've been coming to the Pro Adjusters Chiropractor Clinic for a month now, and the terrible pain I had been dealing with in my neck and upper back has greatly improved. The proadjuster machine is slowing moved down the back of your spine which gives Dr. Maggio a visual output of your spine. Treatment (adjustment) is then performed with the ProAdjuster as it taps repeatedly (trust me, it doesn't hurt) and precisely to the problem areas. It relieves pressure in your nerves and over time makes you feel so much better! I highly recommend Dr. Maggio and his wonderful staff to anyone who is suffering from physical pain. read more

I twisted my back about 2 months ago and went to Dr. Maggio because I have been to him before for a slight irritation on my upper neck. This injury was way worse and I could barely walk. The thing with this ProAdjuster he uses, it really only gave me temporary relief. He would use the ProAdjuster on me and then hook me up to Stem to give some muscle relief. After 2 months of on-going pain that never went away, he never ONCE asked me or suggested I should take X-Rays or even feel my back or adjust manually. I have a hard time with someone who just "adjusts" with a tool and puts you in a chair for 10 min with Stem, doesn't tell you how to stretch (just hands you a piece of paper that shows stretching techniques) and says hi and bye. Every time I saw him I had constantly ask, "Can I go to the gym? Should I use ice or heat? Why am I not getting better?" and these were things he should automatically be telling someone who's in SO MUCH PAIN. I switched to a different chiropractor and after the first visit I found out I have a twisted pelvis and my upper neck (injury #1) was never fixed properly which is causing headaches and jaw discomfort. On a side note--the girls in his office will call your phone a BILLION times to schedule an appointment, almost to the point of harassment.
