When I took my latest dog in for a first visit the vet never looked at me and did not examine the dog. Just took down information. Yesterday my dog quit eating and is very lethargic. I called for an appointment for today (the next morning from when I called). New vets, new receptionists. I was told couldn't get her in today (Tuesday), first available is Saturday. My dog is clearly sick. Waiting 5 days is unacceptable. This has never happened before in all these years. They will never see me again.

I passed it off thinking she had found a tree to climb (she loved being up high), or a grasshopper to chase. Moving on to Sunday afternoon and my wife sotted her outside just laying down in the grass, went and picked her up and it was obvious she was not feeling good. Our vet in town was closed but their voice message suggested we call Local Vet, which we did. They told us to bring her in so they could check her out. When I arrived they greeted me in a friendly and professional manner. All rooms were full when I got there but only had to wait about 30 minutes before they got me into a room. The assistant came in and took down my info, checked our cats weight and temperature and asked some other questions to get a general idea of the cats health and history. Not long after she left the vet came in did a quick examination and informed me our cat was probably not going to make it. She had a tick borne infection that was really bad this year in our area. They did a great job explaining everything and said we could try to save her but the odds were not good. We decided to give it a go, so they took her back to do bloodwork, X-rays and some other screening work. A few minutes later the vet came back to tell me she was going downhill fast and had had a seizure while they were doing the testing on her. As he was telling me all this, the assistant knocked at the door and told us she had passed. Both the vet and the assistant were really compassionate and caring. They made the whole experience less stressful and upsetting for me and really made me feel like they cared. Like I mentioned at the start not a great way to get to know a business the first time you use them but they certainly get my appreciation and probably more of my business in the future.

And was given some meds to give her twice a day and see how she performs. Well over all this time she only had a few break through that only lasted a few min and she would recover we dont miss medication just break through ones I understand well today i came home found her in deep thrall of full grand mall that lasted 30 full min while i called ur clinic i told receptionist that i need to bring her in and get emergency meds to get her calm an get her temp down before she dies i was told they could not take her because they wete full of appointments i explained she is in 35 min siecer with high hart and temp and i am in hickory creek. Tbey said bring her to emergency i explained i have to get her temp down asap and your location is 28 min from my house the emergency is 40 . So I will need to bring her in. I told them she was on verge of death by time i get there full hour continius seizer i was first told her temp was 108 and they got her seizers to stop and temp down to 105. They gave me sum new meds recommended i bring her to emergency so they can watch her over night. So i said okay . I was presented my bill and paid. Not being shown what all the charges were until after i paid. So i asked there is a chage for after hours emergency i asked what it was for and stated i am here during hours and was told oh thats just what it says i then repeated all nicley that words mean things and is there a during hours emergency line that could be applied instead. Receptionist did not like this and stated i should have taken her to emergency like they suvgested i then told her that if i would have done that her organs would have all began to fail since her temp wad 108 just getting there another 20 min would have meant life or death she got snarky and statef u should be thankful that we saved ur dog i then began to get upset if i would have listened to them and not arrived there to get her temp down she eould jave been dead. . And thst me bringing here to ur location due to length of seizer body temp ect is what ssved her. And i also at that time now being annoyed did say i did just pay you as well to give her care and said the f word. . I shouldnt have ur vet then came out said same thing and said she didnt like my tone and that your place was full and they stopped everything to help her even that one customer had anxiety attack because the doctor was working on bailey and not her dog. I sure would have thought a dog in distress more important than lady with anxiety. Then she demanded I leave and not return. Worst experience in my life to be treated this wsy just trying to save my dog Also charged for certain amount of medication see photos and received way short dosage and total number. Here is link to the phone call interactions showing lack of empathy and help for my dog. once again she had been having a seizer for over an hour by the time I arrived i live 30 min from vet, and they were suggesting as they did the other person that did a review with complaint that I take her another 25 min away. Time is of the essence in these issues, and they simply could care less. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Y8IP3fT-t_rTjfHwB99o34sIOtMm-oFG?usp=sharing

After an hour past of waiting past the appointment time the vet finally comes in. He immediately grabs for my dogs ear which surprised the dog and snaps towards him with a little growl. He's a super friendly dog, but he scared him. Instead of trying to calm the dog or even bring treats into play which typically works for all dogs, he instead throws his hand up and says "I'm done". I understand needing to be cautious, but he put zero effort in trying to examine my dog's health. Afterward, I try to finally buy the medication, but I can't because their credit card system was down so we left empty handed. I take the dog instead to the other vet in town and got an actual exam done with no problems. I paid the fees for the services given and medication. Fast forward and I get a bill for Office call and exam. I would normally understand this fee but no exam was given and it cost twice as much as the place that actually examined the dog. I called and kindly asked they waive the fee given the circumstances, but the person on the phone was adamant the vet "examined" my dog and even told me the notes he wrote down about the visit. Again, he didn't check his ears, mouth, lungs, muscles...anything. He probably only looked at the dog 30 seconds. But since he "saw" the dog, no waiving the fee I was told. Either way I'm paying the ridiculous fee, but I'm leaving negative reviews everywhere to properly reflect my visit and interaction with this place.
