I had an unwelcoming experience at crossover today. My dog bailey has been there before few months ago brought her in for full blood work up for seizers she started having. . And was given some meds to give her twice a day and see how she performs. Well over all this time she only had a few break through that only lasted a few min and she would recover we dont miss medication just break through ones I understand well today i came home found her in deep thrall of full grand mall that lasted 30 full min while i called ur clinic i told receptionist that i need to bring her in and get emergency meds to get her calm an get her temp down before she dies i was told they could not take her because they wete full of appointments i explained she is in 35 min siecer with high hart and temp and i am in hickory creek. Tbey said bring her to emergency i explained i have to get her temp down asap and your location is 28 min from my house the emergency is 40 . So I will need to bring her in. I told them she was on verge of death by time i get there full hour continius seizer i was first told her temp was 108 and they got her seizers to stop and temp down to 105. They gave me sum new meds recommended i bring her to emergency so they can watch her over night. So i said okay . I was presented my bill and paid. Not being shown what all the charges were until after i paid. So i asked there is a chage for after hours emergency i asked what it was for and stated i am here during hours and was told oh thats just what it says i then repeated all nicley that words mean things and is there a during hours emergency line that could be applied instead. Receptionist did not like this and stated i should have taken her to emergency like they suvgested i then told her that if i would have done that her organs would have all began to fail since her temp wad 108 just getting there another 20 min would have meant life or death she got snarky and statef u should be thankful that we saved ur dog i then began to get upset if i would have listened to them and not arrived there to get her temp down she eould jave been dead. . And thst me bringing here to ur location due to length of seizer body temp ect is what ssved her. And i also at that time now being annoyed did say i did just pay you as well to give her care and said the f word. . I shouldnt have ur vet then came out said same thing and said she didnt like my tone and that your place was full and they stopped everything to help her even that one customer had anxiety attack because the doctor was working on bailey and not her dog. I sure would have thought a dog in distress more important than lady with anxiety. Then she demanded I leave and not return. Worst experience in my life to be treated this wsy just trying to save my dog Also charged for certain amount of medication see photos and received way short dosage and total number. Here is link to the phone call interactions showing lack of empathy and help for my dog. once again she had been having a seizer for over an hour by the time I arrived i live 30 min from vet, and they were suggesting as they did the other person that did a review with complaint that I take her another 25 min away. I took my dog in for an elective surgery and she never came home. this vet didn't watch her in recovery and she aspirated into her lungs she died 2 days later in the Springdale animal hospital. crossover said oh well sometimes these things happen. I have to live with the choice I made but they should have not done the surgery if the risks were greater than the benefits. which they told us after she was dead that her Breed has been known to do this. are you kidding. watch her then. If you love and care for your pet please don't lose then by choosing this vet. read more

We are new to area and needed a compassionate and knowledgeable vet for our 10 year old labradoodle. We have seen Dr Overman twice this year, once for sickness and once for annual checkup. Both times we were very impressed with her attention to our doggie and the care she provided. Would recommend. read more

The woman on the phone was perfectly pleasant. I can't say anything about the service as we didn't receive any. I called as we were pulling in the parking lot with a bleeding dog that had just been attacked by a German Shepherd. She told me they couldn't fit him in to the schedule and refused to help us. We had to drive 20 minutes to the emergency vet with a bleeding dog. read more

I don't think there is a better vet out there. We've known Dr. Stropes for more than 10 years and she's been caring for our dogs and cats for quite some time now. Her clinic recently treated our 13 year cocker spaniel, Courage, successfully for lymphoma. He is here today because they did such great work. Now, I've moved away from Fayetteville and it's been hard to find the top quality care that this clinic provides. I find myself still visiting Crossover for veterinary care when I come to town. Many vets now try to "upsell" additional tests and procedures solely to make more money. Crossover Vet Clinic does what's best for your pets, not what's best for the bottom line. Sadly our little guy still died despite what we did to save him, but crossover helped even after that with holding our cat until we could pay to get him cremated. They sent us a card with their condolences and have been very helpful with making sure our other cat lives his longest life. read more

Do not even consider going here if your pets need immediate help or critical care. I showed up at 7:40am this Monday morning after sitting up all night with my dog puking up blood, I rushed over as soon as I could and they refused to help me (even though their website and signage says that they open at 7:30). They also refused to help me on another previous occasion as well (once again the only other time that my dog was in very bad shape) , they screwed up and gave my dog meloxicam after a routine surgery and it almost killed him, after I drove back over asking for help they also refused to help because it was 12:05 on a Saturday and once again told me to drive all the way across town to the Springdale emergency clinic instead which was even more expensive and did not seem to know how to help my dog. This morning after they refused my help I called "All Pets animal hospital in rogers and they literally had 3 people actually run out to my car to help me when I arrived.. that's the kind of service I expect when my dog might be close to dying.. not a bad attitude and a refusal to help me.. good riddance crossover Vet, you lost a customer for good today. read more

Called to set up an appointment for heartworm and rabies, but decided against it. The vet we spoke to said she has never heard of a 2 year rabies vaccination, but there are many cities and municipalities that issue 2 year certificates. Not comfortable bringing my dogs to a vet who knows less about rabies vaccinations than I do - YIKES. **** Owner eventually e-mailed me, completely unconcerned with the issue. She wanted me to remove my review, or edit it into a positive one, but didn't so much as apologize for spreading misinformation -- and judging from her comments, she still doesn't understand that some states offer 2 year vaccinations. I have spoken to other vets, and they have told me that this should have been a common sense matter. read more

Dr Stropes & Dr Hynes are the best! I Have been going to this clinic for over 10 years since I bought a sick Cockateil from a local pet store. I even had BOXED newborn kittens born hrs earlier not mine, which the vets office trained and helped me nurture each and every one. I am happy to say, I have the deformed runt (Itsy bitsy) and her stunning fur ball brother Tanner. The others were adopted out by staff and the clinic and they all survived! I have a male with urinary problems but we have it diet controlled. The most amazing is my ownership of a Sphynx cat.....Dr Hynes has involved time into care and treatment of this rare hairless breed.
