I'm satisfied with the outcome of that discussion and have no further concerns over pricing. They earned my business through their effort to make things right. Pros: Prompt response & service Knowledgeable & highly professional Technician Reliable/flexible-Rescheduled appointment to an earlier time slot with no issues Cons: May be cost prohibitive for some In my case: 192.43 Diagnosis fee 779.38 for services rendered: Total cost was 971.81 1) Diagnose garage light fixture not working (ballast/lighting was replaced on (2) units) 2) Estimate to replace a fixture on the outside of home (lighting replaced with a flood light fixture) 3) Estimate for an future install of an outlet in the master bath. Estimate was provided and totaled 868.36 for parts/labor/inspection permit admin fee Summary: I've had other companies out and have experienced poor results. In contrast the work that was performed by the Volt Doctors Tech was done pristinely. I don't recall the Tech's name...he was a quality minded individual...& took great care in performing the work yet worked efficiently (job was completed in under a hour or so).

I can't believe how bad the service and communication was. All around, a bad experience and one…read morethat we need outside parties to come in and fix. Communication Multiple times throughout this journey, the office would schedule techs to come out and work without telling us. Those techs sometimes showed up and no one was here. Multiple times, we called for an update on when someone would come out and be told that someone was on the way or coming early the next day. They seem to have no concept that other people work and therefore are not available. They took about two weeks to even come collect their payment - more on that later. We gave them the housing plans and inspection report at the beginning of the process. Our techs said they never got them, but they also never asked or referred to them even after learning about them. Workmanship We just got a home and it needed some renovations. The inspection portion was good, they found things that were in the inspection report and seemed knowledgeable about how to remedy it. One of the things they did was to install a new breaker panel. They tore out the wall, put it in and left holes in the wall above and below the panel while showing no interest in fixing that. They also installed the home breaker crooked! We insisted that they fix it. They sprayed a hardening foam and then painted it. The wall is jagged, there is paint on the panel, it looks terrible. Other work they did seems fine. The big problem One of the items on the list was to remove a light on a cord in the dining area, which they did. But then they took that light (nice light and vintage) and absconded with it. They were supposed to put a flush cap but "couldn't because there were so many wires". When I asked them about it they somehow managed to put a flush cap after all. When confronted about where the light had gone, they started back pedaling. We got multiple stories. One, that he had put it "right there" on the floor and someone must have moved it (they were the only ones working in the house), two, that they put it in the truck and three, they threw it away. However, I got a text to come to the house while this conversation was being had between them and my lady and what I walked into was appalling. I walked in through the garage which was open and hung out there to listen for a moment - the tech was throwing me under the bus! Claiming that I had given them permission to remove the light (we never even spoke about it) and that the tech should have never listened to me because I talked like I knew what was going on but didn't (nice) and this was being done with raised voices; nearly yelling at my girl. When I walked in the door, the demeanor changed pretty quick. The tech went from his raised voice and frustration with my girl, to a lot more calm and polite once I was there. He was clearly trying to intimidate her. She confessed to me she didn't feel safe. When I walked in, I myself was worried. He then made an excuse of why they needed to leave and did so not too long after. No resolution to where the light went. Later, my girl got a call from the general manager and it was more of the same - "we don't know where your light is, tech said X, it's not a big deal, we'll give you one like it, etc.". So they basically took it without permission, got caught and that's history but don't have the conviction to own up to it. Please avoid this company.
