Established in 1974, Coastal Diesel Service is a family-owned business that proudly serves all of eastern NC. The foundation of our business was laid by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bahr. In 1978, a significant chapter in our history began. The company was acquired by Tom and Ruthie Bland, who reimagined and expanded it into the Coastal Diesel many have come to recognize and trust. Under their guidance, the company evolved to better cater to its clientele. The introduction of a comprehensive warehouse, a state-of-the-art fuel injection repair facility, and a sophisticated diesel engine and generator repair service department marked the growth trajectory. Their ethos was simple – prioritize the customer, delivering unparalleled care and service. ​2023 heralded a new era for Coastal Diesel. Tom chose to hang up his boots, handing over the reins to Reed and Abbie Sheffield, both of whom were seasoned members of the Coastal Diesel family at the time.
