I got a spa pedi and a regular mani. I sat down for the pedi. The water was too hot. My tech said "it's not too hot." I kept my feet out. She hurried through the service, her body language said it all. She didn't want to be there. During my manicure I mentioned how overgrown my cuticles were. She said "cuticle not overgrown". I hadn't had a mani since Christmas, they were very overgrown. Pro Nail II charges $55.00 for both of these services. Pro Nail charged me 65.00 for both, when I said Pro Nail II charges $55.00 they argued with me. I told them to look on their website and left. BTW I could have done a better job myself. I even took pictures of my nails. Also, it is very dirty. Even the fake plants have dust on them. Blue lights for gel mani treatment is disgusting. Watch out! read more

Walk-in but willing to wait, I came back in 20 min for sns nails. The removal of the nail polish was uneventful, but my lady left for a long time. I went in to get nails for prom tomorrow and I went in asking for a tips, almond shape, and black. When the lady was removing my former gel nails with a nail spinner she went so deep into my nails I had to pull back from pain. There was a pink slash and dip in my nail, she almost went through it. Then when she went to actually put the tips on she put on so much nail glue and didn't even measure to see if the tip was the right size. She then put a glop of nail glue on my finger and got up and left to the front when another customer entered. The place was filthy and really unclean and everyone seemed rushed and like all they cared about was the money. My nails don't look bad unless you look at them hard enough. Some in certain lighting you can see through, only one of them is actually almond shaped, the paint job was bad and all over the underside of my nail, and there is nail glue all over my fingers. For context, I've been going to NailPro regularly for about 7 months and have only ever had services from Mary and her mother (Lucy?). Mary always does my manicure, which is dip powder with nail art and glitter, and her mother typically does my (spa) pedicure. Mary does my brow wax. Mary is the absolute best I've found in Purcellville for dip powder. I actually appreciate her efficiency. And even though she's fast, the quality of her work never suffers. My nails always look amazing and actually last without breaking or lifting. Before finding Mary, I had to get my nails redone every 2 weeks. Now I can go 3-4 weeks between manicures (saving $$) - and that's really just due to regrowth. I very rarely have any lifting or breaking even after that long. She's also very kind, doesn't mind that I often bring my own dip powders, is super creative and talented at nail art and is always checking in to make sure I'm happy with the my services and end result. She's never offended or rude if I ask her to change something or if I notice a mistake (like a nail shape that needs adjusted). She happily fixes it, checks in with me, and then moves on. The spa pedicure is a nice experience overall, with a hot rock massage and paraffin wax. Lucy(?) does a nice job with clean up and shaping. She checks in with me through out the process, but mostly lets me be so that I can relax with my book. My brow waxes are uneventful (as they should be ha). Mary respects my brow shape and never takes me off too much. She always trims the crazy hairs and comes back through with tweezers to make sure she got everything. I've never had any issues with burning or lifted skin. You can almost always get in as a walk-in but you may not get the technician you want and, since they are very busy, you may have to wait for awhile. I alway make an appointment - usually 3-5 days in advance and Mary sets aside the time she needs for me. I almost never have issues with delayed appointment times etc. I'm always happy with the overall experience and love my nails when I walk out the door. read more

I have so many mixed emotions about this place, but primarily poor ones. I've gone to this place on 4 different occasions, and have paid a different amount every single time I've gone. As a gay man in Loudoun county I am often apprehensive of nail salons as I have had a few bad experiences, but Mary took great care of me and my nails lasted so long I just had to leave a review. I went in with a friend around noon on a Friday, she had called a few hours previously to book an appointment for one acrylic set for me and a fill for herself. we were promptly seated upon arrival and both of our nails were done within 45 minutes, awesome service, kind employees, clean tools and work environment. I was shocked to see all of the poor ratings on here!! Pro Nails has been my go - to spot for a mani/spa pedi and waxing since I've moved here from New York City, about a year and a half ago. My experience is that they're reliable, consistent, and most notably, they work efficiently. A few other salons I tried in the area took OVER 2.5 hours for a simple mani/pedi, on medium length nails using standard gel polish with no fancy design or acrylic. I never once felt as though the technician was "rushing", I've found them to work effectively so I don't need to set hours aside to get my nails done. I have tried to give this place a chance because it is in close proximity to my house, but today was the last straw for me. I do not know the names of the two primary ladies at the place, so I will refer to them as the daughter and the mother. The mother is so rough that I try to avoid her when I go there. Today was a slow day and she unfortunately was the only one available. From the start of the service, she was rough that I had to tell her that she was hurting me, and that she needed to take it back a notch. When she started trimming my cuticles, she was jerking and pulling so rapidly that I already knew she was going to end up hurting me before she did. She then pulled a huge chunk out of my cuticle and it began to bleed. Before giving me a chance to try to rinse it off, she slapped a cotton ball with alcohol on it & held it there, which hurt like crazy. This was after she had already dug into my nails and used the file on me like she was trying to sand away my skin too. She was indifferent to the fact that my cuticle was bleeding significantly, and just kept on going like nothing happened.. I paid and got up and left before finishing the service because I was so disappointed. I have been getting my nails done for 20 years now, and know you can get nicks from the best manicurist. However, she was excessively rough. The last time I was at the salon, I had an appointment, but it still took me nearly 2 hours to get finished. Apparently appointment times mean nothing there. What a poor quality experience. I got a gel manicure that took less than 10 minutes - the guy who did it just filed my nails, clipped my cuticles, and rushed through the color not even allowing each layer to cure completely, so the gel is thick and sloppy. The pedicure was mildly better, the woman who did it seemed way less rushed - but it wasn't thorough at all, my feet are still just as rough and calloused as before, and she only did one layer of polish with no top coat. She didn't do anything more than massage my feet/legs and clip/paint my nails, completely ignoring my cuticles and callouses, and the paint job is so sloppy I could've done a better job with my eyes closed. To top it all off, their prices are outrageously high for such low-quality work. The one redeeming factor is that the place is clean, bright, and spacious. I have been to this place a few times. I also happened to be there earlier this week. There were three nail technicians working there, as well as three customers, one being me. I got the gel manicure. While the manicure looks decent, I was rushed through the process. In/out of the place in less than 15 mins. I got no hand massage (other times I have gotten a simple one). Atleast this time I wasn't asked for a cash tip, as I have other times. LOL! This place seems to be a hit or miss given the day, time of day, the person you have. Horrible! Avoid at all cost! I hate to leave a poor review...but this visit got progressively worse. I went in yesterday, because I was running errands and didn't have time to go to Leesburg where I usually get my nails done. Walked in and the price was fine. I sat down and the table I sat at was very dirty and looked to have not been cleaned since the last customer. The guy sat to do my nails. He removed the dirty towel and didn't replace it. He sounded like he was recovering from a cold and as he worked on my hands he kept COUGHING on them! I had to pull them away several times and he look annoyed when I did. His fingers were bleeding from cuts he had all over and he kept showing me the cuts (he put clear tape on them) and proceeded to stop and start because they hurt. He also stopped working on my nails twice so he could text...and these weren't quick texts. I was thoroughly annoyed and went in to this location to save on time....at this point with him stopping to retape his cuts and text I was better off driving to Leesburg. Gel color choices limited. I picked a "color change" polish because the guy at the front said it only changes in water. The guy who did my nails said they actually changed in the sun also. I did my nails for a photo shoot I have and could not chance having the color change color appear on camera. He put the first coat on already and said he'd get me a new color. I thanked him and said i needed a neutral color. He came back with purple. I said I needed a more pink or taupe. He threw his hands up in the air and told me to go myself and he couldn't help. I found two colors on that nail board that shows you what the color looks like. Both colors were not there. so I settled for something I walked back and he was sunken in his seat and looked at me and said, "Are you happy now?" He then rushed through the rest of the manicure. I am NOT EXAGGERATING. I didn't complain because I just needed to leave for an event I was late for...and honestly I was shocked beyond belief. One of my nails was messed up from me opening the polish bottles up front -- i asked him to fix it (it had the first coat) and he said it was fine and not to worry. (He didn't)He put two light coats and I am so disappointed with the result. The color is transparent and already chipped in less than 24 hours. Last straw was I went to pay. They take cash tips...I always bring cash to salons...and when he ran my card he looked at me and said, "You have cash so you can tip me right?" I am sorry...I work hard for my money...this was a HORRIBLE experience. Place was dirty, nail tech SO RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and KEPT COUGHING ON MY HANDS and the end quality was NOT WORTH IT! We waited a little longer than I would have liked, and we weren't even offered a massage/pedi chair to relax in while we waited which was a bummer. I went with my daughter to Pro Nails & Spa on Sunday. It was very busy. My daughter had her first set of gel nails and I needed mine filled with 2 needing repair. The staff was very rushed, jumping back and forth between customers. Rude. They continued to take more and more customers although they could handle the customers they currently had. Neither my daughter nor myself had our cuticles done and I left with basically uneven gobs of gel on my fingers. I'm a new Purcellville local and heard a lot of good things from word of mouth at this place and was very disappointed. I was getting an acrylic manicure and pedicure. Nothing fancy. When getting my pedicure they never once tried to make any conversation with me or anything. Felt very standoffish. Also, they did my toes and the polish came out chunky and not smooth, I asked them to redo it in a different color and they said there wasn't enough time because they were closing. Also, they did not ask me what type of pedicure I wanted, and assumed with the deluxe which was a 15$ up charge. I thought it was rude they didn't ask and just assumed on the more expensive one especially with giving me chunky toenail polish. Not only did they automatically upsell me me on the pedicure but asked me to get gel on my toes (before applying the chunky polish), gel on my acrylics, gel French, eyebrow wax, a design, and more. It was so frustrating. I wasn't trying to be keep just knew what I wanted. I've had a lot of acrylic manicures and used to play college lacrosse with them, and never had one crack or chip. I've had mine for 5 days now and 3 have chipped. 1 of the chippings happened when grabbing a glass of water the day I got my nails done. The next day I went in to get the first chipping fixed and instead of giving me a nail repair he just shaved down the nail and put clear top paint over it. Also, I asked for squoval shape and all of my nails are a different shape, so clearly they didn't know what I was talking about or didn't care what shape I wanted it. My cuticles also looked horrible and I ended up going home and cutting them myself which shouldn't be the way a customer feels after spending 73$ on nails. But because they did a horrible job cutting my cuticles my nails already look two weeks grown out while it has only be 5 days. I went to leave tip, as it always feels required, and had a 50$ bill. I asked them to give me change because a 50$ tip didn't feel anything close to appropriate, and he gave me back 20$ and then the guy who worked on nails said "thank you!". I did the math later and I guess they decided to give themselves 20% tip without asking. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more
