I didn't want to believe the star rating. A friend of mine suggested this place and actually gave it a recommendation. I had a pedicure scheduled for two at 3:00. Apparently they're male pedicurist do not do men. So I had to wait for the only gentleman that could or would about 15 minutes while he finished his lunch. I was willing to let that go however I was sitting in a massage chair. Woman who was helping my friend asked if we were getting the deluxe pedicure and I told her no we would take the $35 pedicure. Surprise surprise at the end we were charged $50 for deluxe pedicure. I know it was clearly stated but the up charge was definitely on purpose. Be very careful, I can understand now why their ratings are so low. read more

I was not happy with the way the wax machine, or the bed looked. But the job was good, it was $15 which is higher than usual for a nail spa. I needed a pedicure very quickly because I only had about a 1/2 hour to spare before I had to be home and on my way to a function. When I walked in on a Saturday afternoon they seemed to be empty and were able to accommodate me. They did do decent work But not phenomenal as there's still some rough or callouses on my toes That aren't visible but can't be felt. The woman next to me was complaining about something but it wasn't her nail she told me it had something to do with the nail Tech so going there knowing that maybe that maybe they might not be super friendly. This is right by my house, so it is super convinent. The prices are pretty good too, much cheaper that LUV in Rochester Hills. My gel polish is 25 bucks. They have a variety of essie, opi, and china glaze polish. They also carry the gel polish in opi axxium, gelish, cnd, and a few others. I am wearing gelish 56 jet set...it is the coolest color. It is grayish purple, but in the sun you can see tiny sparkles...but only in the sun. The manicurist and some of her coworkers could not stop commenting. I have also had the french gel polish...they did a good job. Both manicures lasted about 8 days. With the french I thought she did too large of a white tip, but she fixed it for me. I am picky like that. It was evenly applied, smooth finish, no bubbles, not sloppy, not on my cuticles...pretty darn good! They also have glitter tips, airbrushing, nail art, waxing available. There is a nice flatscreen to watch some news on. I call ahead and make appointments, and have never waited much at all. They usually have at least 6 people on staff. The pedicures are in the back....about 8 massaging chairs. I have sat in nice massage chairs, but it was still nice. I enjoyed catching up on my celeb gossip via people magazine. More entertaining however was the dude in the tigers hat and tigers jersey (mind you it is not baseball season, he is just a manly man) who was getting a pedicure complete with blue nail polish. Apparantly, he is a frequent flier. Apparatly, he also has good taste as the girl next to me requested the same blue as the gentleman. My heels were in need of tlc and she offered to use the razor, which I know is illegal, however highly effective. I caved. She also took super good care of my newish tattoo. You can tip on the credit card, but you need to tell them before they ring it up. read more

I would rate 0 stars if it was possible. My mom and I made an appointment for 4:00pm and they made My mom wait 25 min even though we had an appointment even though it was not busy at all. So the older guy was rushing me the entire time, and you could tell that he was already in a mood before he even started anything. He asked what color I wanted 10 different times within the matter of 5 min. So he started the pedicure and he was extremely rough like he was letting out his frustration. Then all of a sudden I was in a lot of pain when he was cutting off some of the skin around my toe and cut way too much off and I was bleeding for 10 MIN! He never said sorry until 15 minutes later since he kept complaining saying "oh you're bleeding a lot." Anyways, he finishes up my pedicure and it looks like crap since my toe now has a scab on it since he gouged it so bad. So my mom finally gets waited on and the guy asks "is this your mom?" I said "yes" he then said "same face" which I thought was fine. Then the woman waiting on my mom proceeds to say "no she(as in me) is much prettier." It was extremely rude and made my mom feel awful! So then he starts on my hands, I asked for a color change. He starts with the electric buffer and burns the bottom of my thumb with the tool. Then he starts cutting my cuticles and I said I just wanted a color change not a manicure. He pushes back in his chair and he gets all mad at me because I said something. Then he proceeds to say "you're scared I am going to make you bleed again." Granted that would be a thought in my mind but I did not want to be overcharged for something I did not want.. So he just is extremely rude to me and ends up cutting my index finder too much and now I have a scab there as well... when I did not ask for that in the first place. So he gets done with My Mani/Pedi and my mom was only 1/2 way complete with her Pedi.. Since the woman that was doing her nails kept getting up every 5 seconds to tend to everyone else BUT her! then has the nerve to say to my mom I am running everything. There was 6-7 other people working there and only she was tending to everything. Anyways, I end up waiting for my mom for an hour and 45 min because the woman kept getting up. My mom's feet and hand color was supposed to match and it was completely off!! Plus she rushed through everything and it looked like she just wanted to get done. It was a complete waste of time by getting a crappy Mani/Pedi with both of our Hands and feet. The night and next day my toe is in so much pain because of how deep he cut into my toe. If i could give no stars I would. I had longish strong nails when I came in and left with my toes a mess. I expressed how upset i was. He tried to fix it by slapping on more clear polish. Worst nail salon I have ever been to! Staff is rude and made very inappropriate and racist comments. The pedicure tubs were not clean (no plastic wrapping) and the tools were not sterile. We watched as they carried used tool sets from one station to the next. If you have to go here, avoid the older Vietnamese man. He will RUIN your nails. I wanted my nails shaped with a file, however he filed them so incredibly short that all of my finger tips are now painful to touch. I had nice long nails walking in and now I have stubby, 10 year old boy fingers. He couldn't even get the color right. He told me he used a match shellac color set, but it was the manufacturers fault they didn't match. If it were up to me I wouldn't give them any stars, but I have to give them 1 in order to post this review. Save your nails and $$$ read more

First time I went here, Tom did my fill with shellac polish and did an excellent job. Lasted almost 3 weeks with no cracks or color chips! Went here a second time and a different tech did my fill and within a week, 4 of my nails cracked down the center and 2 chipped because he made the acrylic too thin on top of my nails. Not worth the $30 I paid. If I come back, it will only be to have Tom do my nails. The salon is nice inside, but slightly pricey. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ! For a while I had been going to "TOM" to get my nails done because I like long acrylic - was never referred; checked the salon out based on reviews. For a while I was okay with the price until I had to continuously go back because my nails kept breaking - (yes, they are "long") but I've have "long" nails for 10 years. after I told him they keep breaking he started to be rude, speaking under his breath in his native language and telling me I need to cut them down....N O ! So I stopped going to him. I went back like 6 months later for a shorter style due to personal reasons and had an older gentlemen do my nails : $30 (sport length) . I was very happy with the results. I went back yesterday and "TOM" assumed I wanted my usual set; I told him no, I want sport length. He asked why and I told him I have someone else that does my long nails but today they're not available - he tried to talk me into getting long nails and when I told him no I want sport length he tried to charge me $50 when previously I only paid $30. I had somewhere to be and needed my nails done right then and there so I paid however, after I continued to decline his advance to get my nails done the way he wanted to do them; he started yanking my hands and just being unprofessional. Once I paid at the counter and held my hand out for my change, he made comments under his breath in his native language! HE IS BEYOND RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL - DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Ok, so let me start by saying....this is NOT my regular salon. With that being said, I am VERY picky. Now....I stopped here on a whim, while I was out shopping. The salon is very well decorated and modern. I decided to go in because it wasn't crowded and I was in a hurry.....I walked in at 1pm and didn't leave until 3! There was only one lady waiting ahead of me. I was addressed once and was told that it was only a few more minutes. I was finally seated at a table and waited for another 15 minutes or so. Once the nail tech got over to me, he was very friendly. I knew my nails were in bad shape but he was very gentle and didn't over buff them. He put on my new set quickly and neatly. After he was done and I washed my hands, I was pleased. I brought in my own 2 polishes to match my toes and he applied them with no problem. The coats of polish were a little thick and took forever to dry because of that. Overall I was pretty satisfied with his work, but the wait was absolutely terrible and since I was pressed for time, that was no bueno.... Would I go back, yes. Would I wait as long as I did... They owner is a bit pushy.. he's almost annoyed at the fact that I go in to get my eyebrows done by Jennifer or her sister ( who I'd give 5 stars to off top) and not my nails done, but won't tell me it's a wait he just says "no she busy" however if your that annoyed you should no longer provide that service. It takes less then 5 minuets to wax's someone's eyebrows for $10 (witch might be over charge) however it well worth it and I tip $5.. so for a business as such, in between manicure and pedicure this shouldn't be a problem because all the other nail shop seem to do that with absolutely no problem.... looks like I'll be finding somewhere else to spend my green at for eyebrows! My nails turned out great. Really a great job. No complaints there! The only thing I would say wasn't the best experience was when the guy taking care of me snapped at me for texting. I was using the opposite hand that he's working on and I'm switching whenever he needs me to. No problem right? I was texting my last text and he asks me to give me the hand that I was texting with so within literally seconds I gave it to him. He snaps at me telling me if I don't want my nails done then don't. They're busy and can't stop just to let me text. I've always had a great experience coming here but for the first time it wasn't the best. I understand being stressed and all but yikes. Went here for pedicure and gel manicure with fellow bridesmaids before a wedding. Pedicure was good, manicure was another story.. my cuticle was cut and bled a little which was no big deal besides the fact that instead of wiping away the blood, it was left and I had dried blood showing underneath my gel for the remainder of the life of my manicure (which wasn't long). 3 days after getting the shellac gel on my hands, two nails started lifting and peeled right off. The worst nail salon I have ever been to. From the cleanliness of the establishment to the nail job itself. The first red flag was when the tech grabbed his tools to do my pedicure from a regular child's art box, not from a sealed package. As I sat there I noticed the machine used to clean their tools was operating kind of strange too. It looked like a 1980's toaster oven with a UV light inside...no timer, no seal. Fast forward to when he "finished" my pedi (( way too short, polish everywhere, had to tell him to stop because he burned my cuticle on my big toe)) it was time for my mani/shellac. I'm thinking, " I know he isn't going to use the same tools for my hands that he used on my feet"...They can't be THAT BAD. Sure enough. He gathered up his things by the pedi chair, accidentally drops them, picks them up and starts heading towards me I asked for new tools and then realized those were probably not going to be much better. So I paid for the work I had done and left. I'm still shocked and really don't know what to say outside of ANY OTHER NAIL SALON WILL BETTER. read more

Could give zero stars if possible. Was sitting waiting for a pedicure and was soaking my feet, I watched them rinse the implements from clients with WATER and put it back into their station and use it on the next person, the pumice stone the grater the cuticle cutter just rinsed with water. They put their green hand soap on a sponge to clean the bowl. No barbicide or proper disinfectant. State boards would shut this place down immediately, I left as soon as I saw this. I went to this salon for a shellac manicure after reading all the reviews for nail places in my area - this one had a really good rating! Well unfortunately I will not be going back there. When I first went in there were about 5 people waiting and the salon was packed which i thought was a good sign. I was told my wait would be 10-15 mins but it was more like 30 before i was attended to. The guy who did my nails did not file them nicely..i was left with sharp edges, he did absolutely nothing to my cuticles, and the color was all uneven. Plus he didn't paint all the way to my cuticles and it looked like i had regrowth right away. The main problem for me though was the lack of cleanliness of the tools. He pulled clippers from his dirty draw and was picking pieces off of it before using it on me! Not sterile at all. The only good thing I will say about this salon is that they have a very large selection of shellac colors which I was impressed by. But...the search for a good nail salon continues...... After the shellac came off I realized my nails were completely ruined. A few had broken, all were splitting and brittle. Not sure if it was due to the fact that they had soaked my nails in a bowl of acetone for at least 30 mins to get my previous shellac off....or maybe it was due to the electric drill he took to my nails when applying the new polish. read more
