Our Company has purchased 5 car haulers from Pro-Line over the Years, We were Loyal to them for many years, but now they are using tactical end game up charging Technics , My Business partner and i simply needed a new 8.5 X 28 white car hauler, On the last purchase from them was in 2017 from a salesman named Derrick , smooth transaction, gave us the price, we countered with a $150 lower , he said sure, sent him the finance details , 2 days later we were picking it up in Georgia,/ However this time we got a new salesman "Gary" , 1st major problem , it took nearly two weeks of emails back and forth just to get a price and availability, we couldn't believe it , mostly he was so worried about credit information being supplied , repeatedly sent links to fill out credit information, this all before he could tell us any price, the next thing was making a deposit, wanted a deposit to hold a trailer, know one ever before ever asked for a deposit on any of the trailers, after the third time of telling them no, finance the complete sale, it sunk in, (Wha La), then a magical trailer appeared in Georgia , then gave us a price that was up $500 from the last identical one purchased just 14 months prior, we asked for possibly $100. off, he replied nope cant do that this is our busy season, it is , what it is , with no consideration , that we have purchased several trailers before in the past, and knew we had planned to buy 8 more in the next 5 years, and wouldn't even take $100. less, So we emailed him back and said fine then wrap it up, send us what we need to sign, now for the first time we received overdrive speed, the salesman leaped into action, next morning the finance dept called my partner to go over the contract details, , my partner said please email them so we could look them over, she did just that, we both looked at each other on the first paragraph , Hey this price is not what we were told, its $250. more , so we emailed the finance lady back and said we found a slight little mistake in the price could you correct this please, she emails back 1 hour later, and said the salesman "GARY" Told her that is the finance price, what you were told was the cash price , well considering all along he was told we always finance the trailers, and get this , he basically wouldn't give us the price until we filled out the credit app , never said not a word about cash price , or financed price , but he sure remembered it trying to sneak it through on the finance contract , they now want to charge $250. extra because we wanted to finance it, NOT , We never paid that before, and also never had to play games for 2 weeks to get a price, but you don't get that price , not until you fill out the credit application, once your approved then you get prices, then start up charging without even telling you, Sneaky Business Practices, not for us, we emailed them back telling were just gonna hold off for now because we not happy with your new ways of business, sent the same email to the salesman, the finance lady, and the manager , 2 days later , still not even a reply back to our emails , Buyers Beware , they are not the same good old friendly people they used to be , Now you need to prove you can afford one , before you get any attention , then they really GIVE YOU ATTENTION Up-charging , price swapping , what ever you choose to call it, My Opinion now they are just Plain old crooked , a far cry from the business professionals they used to be in the past years....... read more
