This place is so much better than XGolf or other golf sims in the area. Love the simulator software. However it's the little things that I like. The video review from the club angle and side and back angles are not found anywhere else. The changing terrain for rough, fairway and sand is so cool. Even the ceiling fans over the couch to cool off after hitting is nice. Service and food are great. Like no complaints except that when it's not full or booked it may close early even when hours say 12am. Honestly great place and hope more people patronize this hidden gem.

Beacon Tap - Nachos out of the bucket

Beacon Tap is a great sports bar with a chill vibe and I really liked it. I've needed an excuse to…read morecome here after having it on my list for years and the stars aligned for Game 4 of the ongoing White Sox - Cleveland Guardians ALDS. As I refuse to pay extra for sports channel subscriptions over my basic Comcast cable TV package, I didn't have TBS for this particular game or series, and decided to come here hopeful of watching a festive home field series clinching celebration on this night. It was a festive and fun and tense night, and I had a blast until things fell apart in the 6th inning. Beacon Tap has a great reputation as a good and long standing local sports bar and it lived up to it. In fact, I learned that on Bears football Sundays, you need to reserve a spot here as it's so packed, you can't just walk in and watch a game. I sat at the bar and ended up having a couple of delectable Maplewood Son of Juice IPA drafts (at a reasonable $7.25 apiece) and had a blast with fellow fans, two of whom were regulars here. Tim was the fine and attentive bartender and he kept the beers flowing and it was a packed bar and dining room as expected. I left after the 6th inning when the game was decided and the Sox eventually lost 9-5. It would have been so cool to celebrate a major sports win in a sports bar along with the comaraderie, something I've never experienced, but alas, it will probably have to be in another life, ugh. Come to think of it, I have been at a winning major championship game, the Bears' 1985 NFC championship game when they beat the Rams 24-0 at Soldier Field, but being at a rowdy sports bar is indeed another thing. They have a quite nice beer list, and the usual pub food offerings. I learned that their popular 1/2 price pizza night is Tuesdays. They have a big parking lot to handle their big weekend crowds. I'm a big fan of this place, and will look to return again some day for a good time.

The drink menu is also extensive. I had the Special Sandwich- turkey, gouda and a peach chutney. The portion was huge. Others had steak tacos, salad, and chili All were good . Service was excellent, there was one waiter but he was attentive and was able to keep up with the demand. Beacon Tap is a good local pub to enjoy sports .

I read through some of the negative reviews and they are obviously fake. I've been here a few times…read moreand the food has been consistently good. The owner Jun has a sarcastic sense of humor. I understand that we live in a time where American gen z gets offended by everything. Some of the reviews are just plain dumb, they didn't even eat anything or they walked in and walked out. This review is from someone that actually experienced it. We came on a Saturday night around 7:40 pm. There were only a few occupied tables. Two large groups and one couple. The ambiance was laidback with good music. It was only loud because the two large tables were laughing annoyingly, loud. The young Asian table drank one sip of beer and all of a sudden, their laughter echoed throughout the whole place. I'm Asian myself but I can hold my alcohol. The parking lot is shared since it's in a strip mall. To clarify, we did have to wait 50 mins before we started receiving our food. I believe Jun was the only chef and he made everything from scratch. He finished serving the other tables before he got to our order. FYI, Jun said the prices haven't been updated on the printed menus. I would say 4.5 out of 5 is good. I only took off half a point because the two large tables' laughter were cringy and vexing. We ordered bulgogi tacos, o-deng tahng (fishcake soup), garlic chicken wings, and sweet potato fries. -bulgogi tacos 5 - it says 3 on the menu but you actually get 4. Each taco is packed with the same amount of meat as the others. The chips and the housemade salsa are good too. -o-deng tahng 5 - the fishcake soup is so colorful and the broth has a mildly spicy flavor. This can be shared between 2-3 people. Highly recommended. -garlic chicken wings 5 - they are much larger than what you see in the picture. They are very meaty and I like that you can actually smell/taste the garlic. -sweet potato fries 5 - I loved how small and skinny they are, yet they are mighty in flavor. The seasoning was just right.

Quite a surprise for me since the photos of this spot suggest that this is an obscure dive bar. But…read morethe food here is beyond passable bar food -- and is actually very good. The atmosphere here is definitely unique, unlike most restaurants, and even bars in the suburbs. Definitely great if you're someone who is into sports, comic books, and also likes to discover hidden gems. Service here is best described as prompt but sassy, but also something that can't be accurately described (in a good way) and just needs to be experienced in person. I'm not exactly sure if there's a menu, as the regulars seem to already know what to order - but this is something that can be researched online and is both bolder in flavor and more interesting than what you can typically find in a bar, or Korean restaurant. Kind of a fusion between familiar and tasty American bar food -- but with Korean influences to elevate the flavors. All the food I tried here shined both in texture and flavor. The seafood pancake had a great crisp on the outside and generous amounts of seafood inside. It was packed with tasty herbs and a slightly chewy texture that was still fantastic after I reheated it the next day. The Korean fried chicken used large wings and drumsticks, which really helped to provide more tender and moist meat than some local competitors. This was super crispy, possibly more crispy than similar options at Bonchon and CM chicken. A small warning for the spicy options, as this is a higher spiciness level than what many people may be used to with fried chicken. The kimchi fried rice has a great mix of egg, kimchi, and seasonings that create a delicious dish even for those who may not particularly care for the flavor profile of kimchi. Putting the flame torch to the egg and rice adds a good smokiness to the dish, and the mix of onion and egg really adds a lot of umami to the dish. Overall, this is a unique dining experience and worth a visit as the food is flavorful, inexpensive, and well executed. Especially worth a visit for anyone who likes bar food but wants something a bit higher quality and packed with flavors -- this is definitely not the menu you'd find at a traditional Korean spot.

If you're looking for a spot with a little bit of everything, this is definitely worth checking…read moreout. I ordered a variety of items so I could try a little bit of everything on the menu, and there was so much to enjoy. I honestly regret my entire life never stopping in here. I've driven past it since I was a kid and never realized it was a restaurant let alone so tasty!!! I ordered a classic cheeseburger it is a great option for anyone craving something savory and satisfying alongside all the pizza and appetizers. I also ordered Mango Habanero Wings these wings were a must-try for anyone who loves a sweet and spicy combination! The mango brings a fruity sweetness, while the habanero adds that extra kick for a flavorful balance. Also ordered a Greek Salad which was super refreshing addition to the meal. a Greek salad is a great way to balance out all the heartier dishes and add something fresh to the table. Has to order Cheese Tavern-Style Pizza! You can never go wrong with a classic cheese pizza. I will be back to order the deep dish Pizza along with a few different other flavors of pizza. I just wanted to get a little taste of everything this time around. Anyway the Tavern-style pizza is perfect for sharing, with its thin, crispy crust and bite-sized squares that make it easy to keep reaching for another slice. Had to get some Mozzarella Sticks I love a classic appetizer this belongs on every group order when you stop by! These are perfect for sharing and dipping into marinara sauce for that delicious combination of crispy coating and gooey cheese. Finally I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap which is one of my favorites from my order! The buffalo chicken wrap was SO good. The combination of flavorful buffalo chicken wrapped up in a tortilla makes it a satisfying option for anyone who loves a little heat and bold flavor. I really loved being able to try such a variety of items, from classic pizza and appetizers to wings, salads, and wraps. Nanny's Pizzeria is a great option when everyone in your group is craving something different! I want to say it was extremely cozy in this pizzeria. I can't even put into words how relaxed and happy I felt it gave me this feeling of nostalgia and comfort I have not felt in a restaurant in years!! Save this spot for your next pizza night or casual dinner with family and friends. They have a bar area. They also have slot machines as well. I will be back again the service was spectacular!! As I mentioned before in this review, I really wish I stopped in sooner like years ago and I know there i a large amount of people who have driven past this place in the Nile's area never realizing how amazing this hidden gem truly is.
