Results Neck & Back Therapy - Owners Lesley Berger and Kevin Bourlai

Results Neck & Back Therapy

(7 reviews)

I spent the summer here in Bend and my doctor in Portland recommended Results for my neck therapy…read more I started at the beginning of July and by the time I was done at the end of Sept, I felt a huge difference. On my last day they gave me a shirt, which I like. I recommend Results for therapy. The staff is friendly. And scheduling was easy and they had automatic reminders available. Thank you, Kevin, Hannah and Lesley!

I've been a patient at Results for years. I was seeing a Neurologist at BMC for low back pain,…read moreafter several rounds of imaging, injections and pain meds that did little to help, they referred me to Kevin and Lesley for low back PT. A few months into their program I starting seeing dramatic improvement. Since the protocol they use is active and strength based - the stronger my back and core muscles became the less pain I had. The equipment they have is super precise, medical grade gear specific to back and neck therapy, we're lucky to have access to that here in Central Oregon. Anyway, 5 years later I'm virtually pain free in my low back. They also taught me how to maintain strength and flexibility on my own. I'm 65 years old and I don't feel limited by an annoying sore back any more, in fact I starting backpacking again during my treatment and now I can go on week long trips with a heavy pack, yep! If you stick with the prescribed exercises and stretching, and check back with them as needed, you might be able to eliminate low back pain like I have. You might be surprised how even minor improvements in core strength can make such a big difference in the quality of your life .. do it!

Trauma…read morehas ruled my life and contributes to increasing my pain levels, this was impossible to see without Allison's weekly guidance. I have been her client a year and a half my conditions are degenerating & progressive with layers of complicated co-conditions. I hope to keep going to Healing Bridges as long as possible as PT will be life-long. Her calming and grounding technique along with Feldenkrais treatment is exactly what my body needed for constant dislocations from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Allison has the ability to heal and validate pain at a level I never experienced. THANK YOU!

Allison is a lifesaver! She is the best physical therapist I have ever had! I have been suffering…read morefrom chronic back pain for years, even after having a surgical fusion. Then I had an accident 4 years ago that shattered my kneecap and the surgeons were unable to save it, so they just sewed the tendons from above and below the knee together. This causes instability in the knee and if I bend it too far, it will buckle and I will fall. I have been to many different physical therapists since that time, but all of the exercises they gave me caused more pain in my back. Allison is the first PT that has found gentle exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knee and in my leg that don't aggravate my back. She is very knowledgeable, slow and gentle in her approach and truly cares about her patients. The Feldenkrais exercises and meditations have helped the pain in my back and are teaching me how to move my body in different ways that support better structural functioning, and thus decreased pain. She is also well versed in "Pain Reprocessing Therapy" for chronic pain, which retrains the brain to react to pain signals properly, and eventually eliminates the chronic pain. I highly recommend Allison to anyone suffering from an injury and/or chronic pain.

I worked with Rebound South for almost three months following knee replacement surgery, and I…read moresimply can't say enough good things about them!! Rachel was my therapist, and I feel like I won the lottery in getting to work with her! Caring, competent, friendly, fun - she's a true credit to her profession. Rachel set up a comprehensive therapy plan for both at the clinic and for me to do at home, and worked side by side with me through every step of my rehab. She definitely made me work, but was always encouraging and responsive to my needs and questions, and she genuinely cared about my progress. You could always tell she had my best interests at heart every step of the way. Alida (and please forgive me if I misspelled your name!), one of the assistants that I worked with a lot, was absolutely fabulous as well. Bright and bubbly, with a fantastic attitude. Like Rachel, she was constantly encouraging me and congratulating me on every milestone I reached, large and small. And Jamie at the front desk always had a big smile, a friendly hello, and an infinite amount of patience in helping me set up my appointment schedule. Let's face it, rehabbing from knee replacement surgery is not fun, and requires a lot of work. But thanks to Rachel, Alida, and the great folks at Rebound, I went from an initial dread of going to physical therapy to actually looking forward to my sessions. I've made great progress thanks to them, and now that I've been discharged, I'm actually going to miss going! Highly recommended!!

Initially, the therapist, Bobby, offered some gentle exercises and lots of therapy. We have now moved to a focus on exercises to strengthen the muscle groups around the hip and exercises to regain full range of motion. I think we're on the right track and anticipate getting back to my favorite activities soon. I like the atmosphere at Rebound South. It's a small facility with three or four therapists. In my experience, everybody is super friendly: the front desk staff, the therapists, and the assistants who offer treatment after each session. There is plenty of humor and lots of support. I would recommend Rebound South to anyone needing physical therapy.

Basecamp Physical Therapy - Dr. Tim Gross, PT, DPT, MTC in Bend, Oregon

Basecamp Physical Therapy

If you're dealing with pain, mobility issues, or recovering from an injury, I can't recommend…read moreBasecamp Physical Therapy and Tim highly enough. I came in with a debilitating back injury and severe sciatic nerve pain--the kind that impacted every aspect of my daily life. Thanks to Tim's expertise, guidance, and personalized treatment approach, I'm now well on my way to a full recovery--without surgery--saving me thousands of dollars and avoiding months of downtime. What makes Tim exceptional isn't just his ability to treat pain; it's his commitment to education and long-term injury prevention. Throughout my recovery, he's not only helped me heal but also taught me valuable skills and techniques to strengthen my body and reduce the risk of future injuries. He truly listens and tailors treatment plans to fit my lifestyle and available equipment, even creating a custom rehab program for me to follow while traveling internationally. Tim now has a permanent space that, while small, actually makes the experience even better. You're the only one being treated at a time, which means you get his full attention, privacy, and a truly personalized experience--something you don't often find in larger clinics. If you're looking for a skilled and knowledgeable physical therapist who goes beyond just treating symptoms and helps you build lasting strength and resilience, Basecamp Physical Therapy is the place to go. Tim's expertise, dedication, and patient-focused approach have made a huge difference in my recovery journey.

From the very first appointment, Tim demonstrated a deep understanding of my condition and goals, and has provided a tailored and effective plan that addressed my specific needs and works with my lifestyle. It's been especially great to work with a physical therapist who's not only a technical expert but who also shares my enthusiasm for Central Oregon's outdoor pursuits and is motivated to help me get the most out of the activities I love. What sets Dr. Gross apart is not just Tim's extensive knowledge and technical expertise, but also Basecamp's private "house call" model. After going to a number of in-network and out-of-network physical therapists over the years, it's made a huge difference not to be forced to sit in waiting rooms, schlep to and from an office, or feel rushed through my appointment. Tim's positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine care have made physical therapy a treat rather than a chore. Nearly eight years after my injury, I've measurably regained mobility and strength that I thought was lost, and Dr. Gross has armed me with exercises and tips to keep building on my progress. I'd highly recommend Basecamp for anyone looking for personalized, convenient, and effective physical therapy in Bend. Thanks Dr. Gross!

The environment is very pleasant and clean. I have only good things to say and deep gratitude for what they did for me during these challenging times of pandemic. It was the worst time to have lower, mid and neck pain. I had a car accident 2 1/2 ago, right after birth and my right hip moved causing many other back problems. The massages were so perfect to help to dissolve the muscle scars. The team was very dedicated and patient. I'm now feeling confident and moving again without any pain. Thank you, Dr Z., Ana, Tabi, Shelby and Nichole. You guys are amazing!

This review has been a long time coming and honestly, I've had a lot of mixed emotion about writing…read moreit because I don't like bashing small businesses, but I feel completely taken advantage of and am saddened at the shady billing practices and integrity of this business. I was in a bad motorcycle accident last summer and started going to Living Well (I'm honestly not even sure how I found them as my memory of last summer is pretty nonexistent) for physical therapy for my knee and a severe head injury that I obtained after being hit. With the severity of the TBI (traumatic brain injury) I was dealing with - I should have been referred elsewhere - to someone who was better equipped and had the resources to help with my head injury. Being that I was pretty out of it most of the summer - I didn't see anything necesarily "wrong" with the treatment I was receiving but I was noticing over time that the "treatment" I was receiving did absolutely nothing for the cognitive issues I was having (and still am). Looking back it was complete negligence on their part. They had me coming in 3x a week for months and I saw little to no progress being made in my cognitive function - yes I was more coherant and I was able to move my neck better than when I first came in (thank you for that) but nothing was done for my severe head injury that would actually warrant me coming in as often as I was - except for of course, to rack up a massive bill that they would later come after me for. I'm going to assume most people aren't informed in all of the technicalities of accidents/insurance and how you are billed in light of these events (I wasn't and they knew this). On your vehicle - you have what's called a PIP policy (personal injury protection), when you are receiving medical treatment post accidents - all of your medical is billed through this policy and everything is 100% covered until your policy runs out, then it is billed through your regular medical insurance. After about the first month or so, the receptionist started to let me know that my insurance wasn't paying them out - which I found odd because they were paying out all of my other visits no problem (chiro and neurology visits). I asked my lawyer to speak with insurance in regard to this, as I was not legally allowed to communicate with them during an open investigation. We finally learned that Living Well only attempted to bill my insurance a few times (I would like to add - based on what we are able to see from my PIP ledger) over the 3.5 months I was receiving treatment and I racked up a $7200 bill - that should have ALL BEEN COVERED through my PIP policy. So when my PIP policy ran out from all the appointments I was going to (about 5-6 a week for all my care providers for months) they started trying to get me to sign paperwork to get a chunk of my settlement money (which the fine print, my lawyer deemed as unreasonable and advised me not to sign). What does this mean for Living Well? They get more money if they wait to bill me directly instead of insurance - about 2x more according to my lawyer. On top of all of this - they sent me a card THANKING me for sending them part of my settlement money - that I deserved to keep after almost having my life taken and months of PTSD that I had to work through. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone, I am saddened - I really liked Dr. Z, he seemed like a nice guy but I feel sick, I feel completely taken advantage of. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.
