Carrot cake is standout. Tip is automatically added to parties of 6 or more. On the " go back to" list.

We had 3 four top tables pushed together for our group. We dine out every Good Friday and the acoustics in this restaurant were great. We could hear conversation from one end of the table to the other. Several people had the Fish Fry special of fish and chips - some liked it, some didn't care as much for it. I didn't try it personally, but the plate had three decent size pieces of fish with a side of fries and coleslaw. Nice offering for Good Friday meal. Two of us had Chicken piccata and really appreciated that we could substitute out the side of pasta! One of us ordered a side of grilled veggies (highly recommend) and the other steamed broccoli. Highly recommend the grilled veggies! Good combination of different vegetables. The broccoli was good, but would have ordered without butter. There was a pool of butter they were swimming in. The piccata was good - 3 decent sized pieces of chicken breast. Note if you are not a red pepper fan, order the sauce without. I forgot to ask, but they were easy to pick out. The calamari was a good portion for an appetizer. We hoped they had cocktail sauce for it, but they only had marinara. The mesclun salad was very good and really good size for a half portion. We did not order dessert, but the cakes when you first walk in are quite impressive and imagine are delicious!

Why 3 stars? Well, polishing only goes so far. While our server was very kind, we asked several questions about the products that he had no idea how to answer. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates specifically because they said they had chorizo and manchego - which sounded interesting - but when we mentioned to the waiter that they were just dates and bacon he looked at us confused and said they should have been stuffed. They weren't. We also ordered the hummus plate that did not come with near enough hummus for the pita and veggies. When we asked if we could get more hummus he said we'd have buy another plate. I get it, but get your proportions at least close. We really came for the bourbon. The single barrel was quite good... but at $95 we could not pull the trigger. I'm sure some tourists will.

The food and drink was just mediocre. Would be back for evening drinks and music but not coffee and a muffin for breakfast.

When we arrived, the owner and a few others were outside. As we walked up, he simply said, "We're closed." When we mentioned that the website and Yelp showed they were open, he told us they're not open on Mondays. It was disappointing, especially after making the trip. If they're closed on Mondays, they really need to update their online information. Even a small gesture--like offering a drink or just acknowledging the inconvenience--would have gone a long way, especially since they were already outside enjoying cigars and drinks themselves.

The bouncer proceeded to tell us we couldn't sit there and that we had to move to the room which looked like a warehouse that they added on and was freezing cold. We decided to get a drink. But that was kind of difficult. They didn't have more than 10 bottles to choose from. They were advertising Avion throughout the club. The bartender said they were still recovering from All Star weekend. And that's why they didn't have much to serve. But a few moments later I saw them bring out a bottle of Avion and serve it to a VIP table. Also be ready to pay $30+ for one single drink and $5.00 for a bottle of water. When they didn't think we were paying attention, the bartender told who we presumed was the owner that we were annoyed and he said "well tell them to go away". Then they had a nice chuckle.
