Also, the menu makes it sound like the drinks will be a little showy. For example, the drink I ordered said it would be poured out of a Bible. It was called "the blessing." And my friend's was supposed to be served in a piggy bank. And other drinks say they will be served in pineapples, have a fire element, etc. Which sounded super fun! However, it must have just been part of the speakeasy bit? Our drinks were normal cocktails served in normal cocktail glasses. A bit disappointing, so be warned if you are like us and were expecting some razzle dazzle!

I had a margarita and an espresso martini and both cocktails exceeded my expectations! The lime margarita was classic, slightly tart, and made me want another. The space is cool, speak easy vibes, and the gentleman playing the piano was a nice tough with an ideal volume.

Why 3 stars? Well, polishing only goes so far. While our server was very kind, we asked several questions about the products that he had no idea how to answer. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates specifically because they said they had chorizo and manchego - which sounded interesting - but when we mentioned to the waiter that they were just dates and bacon he looked at us confused and said they should have been stuffed. They weren't. We also ordered the hummus plate that did not come with near enough hummus for the pita and veggies. When we asked if we could get more hummus he said we'd have buy another plate. I get it, but get your proportions at least close. We really came for the bourbon. The single barrel was quite good... but at $95 we could not pull the trigger. I'm sure some tourists will.

The food and drink was just mediocre. Would be back for evening drinks and music but not coffee and a muffin for breakfast.

When we arrived, the owner and a few others were outside. As we walked up, he simply said, "We're closed." When we mentioned that the website and Yelp showed they were open, he told us they're not open on Mondays. It was disappointing, especially after making the trip. If they're closed on Mondays, they really need to update their online information. Even a small gesture--like offering a drink or just acknowledging the inconvenience--would have gone a long way, especially since they were already outside enjoying cigars and drinks themselves.

The drinks are phenomenal and the staff is friendly! The menu offers a mix of unique cocktails (and can be made as mocktail a too) and small bites. Upon recommendation, I tried the F.W. Marg drink.
