From the very beginning, I knew that with Christina and her attentive team that we would be in great hands. The venue (612North) is housed in the once estate of Henry Shaw (Missouri Botanical Gardens). The look and feel of this venue is very a very on-trend and chic-poured floor, exposed brick sort of gig. The killers are the very tall picture windows on three sides which view is the newly face-lifted Gateway Arch. It was very fun to hear the gasps as people caught the sights and realized they could "almost touch The Arch". 612North Catering: Foodstuffs are created by the talent behind Drunken Fish...yes, their bespoke sushi is available, but also many other flavors and textures that show Drunken Fish and associated companies to be au courant and very formidable in St. Louis party eats. Macaroni and Cheese with shards of bacon, hot sauce or other mix ins. Crispy pillowed pot-stickers dipped in salty-sweet ginger goodness. Most memorable for me was their Flatbread Board. Flatbread pieces topped with varied things creating the perfect finger food. Tops in my book was a mellow Bechamel and Caramelized Onion, Gruyere and Thyme melded perfectly on a tender crust. Items of course can be tailored for your needs and desires. Once the party was humming along there was nothing for me to worry about. A major plus. Working with Christina was a dream. Communication was open and responses immediate. A (patrolled) public parking lot is mere feet from the entrance so attendees need not worry. Coat check included. If you want a fun, hip gathering place, 612North is happening and it's happening in Downtown's Laclede's Landing. There is no doubt we will use again.

We went today for Mother's Day and our timeslot was at 2 o'clock. We got there on time. The food had already been sitting out for a while. It was dried out and cold. There were only a few items that were still warm. The coffee was cold. My two year-old nephew was in a booster seat that literally fell apart while he was in it and he fell to the ground. I asked for the manager. The district manager came out and did zero to make things right except for bring over a new booster chair he smiled in our faces and seemed like he could absolutely care less. We didn't hear from him for the rest of the time that we were there. We will never come back.

And WHY are they mixed in with real plants? Take all those out and the space would improve dramatically, instantly. 2. The CO2 canisters lining the walls? I know it's supposed to be a "so ugly it's chic look," but I think it's just fug. 3. Everything looked dated and grungy. I didn't feel it was particularly clean. 4. For the event I attended, all of the glasses behind the bar were still stacked in those crates - piling HIGH (like 6-7 feet off the ground). Nothing says class like gross blue plastic crates in the background of every picture. Disappointing experience for me.

My sister had too many people to get the nicer "ON" ballroom but the "off" was just as fantastic. It was a sit down dinner for over 500 guests. Yeah sound ambitious? Quite. The menu consisted of filet mignon, and fish or chicken. Light appetizers and all the fixings. The food was good but I think that's because I was at the "head" table. Some friends at the wedding were just getting their food as I was finishing but can you imagine how many servers it would take to serve 500 people at the same time? The view was outstanding since you are10 stories above everyone else and overlooking downtown St. Louis. The inside had loft height ceilings and other elaborate touches. The open bar ALL night was probably the real expensive aspect of the wedding. All of my in-laws are from Wisconsin and L-O-V-E alcohol. The grand total for her wedding for ~500 people was roughly $50 but that was 6 years ago. Highly reccommend Windows On or Off Washington for any special event!

Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends.
