Pristine Painting did a very good job of my exterior repaint. Kurt was able to get me the best price out of the 3 bids, and also was the fastest to schedule. Hugo and Noe were very thorough in their work, lots of extensive prep on the exterior, patching holes, and even making my homemade epoxy job on the arbor look better. The Behr paint was a good match to the SW color that I wanted and looks great. They also took care of a peeling metal railing with new black paint in the bid. It was a very good experience. read more

Kurt was a total pro from start to finish, giving us a requested quote right away, always communicating if we had any questions, and he gave us a highly competitive price. His crew, brothers Hugo and Noe, were the absolute best. Quiet as could be, worked very hard, totally respectful of the environment and responsive to questions or changes. They went above and beyond to make the project perfect. Didn't matter if we had an old house with things not always in the exact right place, they fixed, reattached, moved, cleaned, whatever had to be done to make it look brand new, they did. I highly recommend this business and this crew for your next painting project, you will not be disappointed! read more

We got turned on to Pristine Painting when a neighbor of ours had their house painted and they were very happy with the price and quality of the job. Based on their recommendation we contacted Kurt at Pristine and had him come by to provide us with a quote for the outside of our house. We thought the price was quite reasonable and so we accepted the quote. Kurt's crew showed up on time and were meticulous in their work. Our house hadn't been painted in over 20 years and was in need of substantial prep work before painting could begin. This is where Pristine excelled. The crew spent a great amount of time cleaning, sanding, and patching all around the exterior surfaces before even applying an ounce of paint. They were also very patient with my wife and her "back and forth" with the exterior colors. We were so happy with the job that we had Kurt come back a year later to paint the interior of the house. Again, no fuss, no muss! If you're looking for a painting contractor that does quality work at a reasonable price you can't go wrong with Kurt and crew. They're a great bunch of folks! read more

We have been using pristine painting for years. They do an excellent job and our reasonably prize. I highly recommend them!

Kurt, Hugo and his partner were super professional and easy to work with. To begin, Kurt was very easy to communicate with by phone and email, set a time to look over the project (and showed up right on schedule) and gave us a fair price to paint our detached shed structure in the backyard. Hugo and his partner worked hard and got everything done a day early, despite having to work around some rain in the forecast. They took care not to crush my bushes and were diligent in their finishing work - even painted an extra countertop section when asked. I would highly recommend Kurt and his team at Pristine Painting as they made the process very easy and we hope to enjoy our newly protected shed for years to come before the elements take their toll again. read more

Kurt gave us a bid that was EXTREMELY competitive. He and his crew are easy to work with, they have very calm energy. They painted different samples of the base and trim colors we were considering, which was a big help. When they finished the job they asked if there was anything else I wanted to have painted. I asked them to paint a strip of wood that is under the window sills in the trim color. They were totally unbothered, just nodded, went back and painted that piece on every window in the whole two-storey house. They were done in about an hour. The house looks great. It is unusual to find a business that is affordable, reliable, has great communication, and high quality. These guys hit all the marks. Highest possible recommendation. read more

Pristine Painting - A house with bright blue paint and dark blue trim. - Painters Near Me - Santa Cruz, California

Pristine Painting - Kurt and his team Hugo & Noe painted the exterior of our Victorian style Seabright home including much detail using four colors. Attention to detail, professionalism, experience and courtesy were all exemplary! And pricing was very competitive among other high quality contractors we contacted. I'd work with them again without reservation and recommend them highly to others! John S. read more

Following a water leak, had to paint and replace wood floors throughout my condo. I had two estimates one very low and one very high, neither of which felt right. I contacted a friend in Aptos and she recommended Pristine. Kurt came out and gave me an estimate about in the middle. After reading Yelp reviews, this felt like the right decision and it was. Hugo and Noe are the dream team. The condo is small and well furnished, so this was a tricky one. Not only did their work meet my high expectations, they helped me with extra stuff like sweeping out my storage for the extra wood flooring boxes. If you are in need of painters, I would not hesitate to use Pristine Painting. read more

Pristine Painting did an excellent job on our house! There were some delays, and not all of them because of the weather, but Kurt warned us that they were working another job an that that might happen. The time and materials ended up being a little more than the written estimate, but considering that the cost was tens of thousands of dollars cheaper than the next lowest estimate, this is not a complaint either. Some companies would not even paint our house because it's old so there was some lead in the old paint. Pristine is fully licensed so there were no worries there. To sum up,they did a great job were friendly, responsive, and cheap! I highly recommend Pristine Painting! read more

Kurt came and gave me a bid to paint the exterior of my house in April 2023. I was looking for the painting to be done sometime during the summer. We agreed to a price and the scope of work, he set me up for 24 July 2023. He said it would take over two weeks to get the job done. His crew arrived on the 24th of July, pressure washed, did prep for the next few days and painted a sample of the trim and body colors. Everything was good. Hugo and Noe proceeded to do excellent work for what was three weeks, weekends off. They just quietly worked and painted, and left things very tidy. They started on time, ended on time and were very respectful of my wife and I. Overall an outstanding job. read more

Kurt's team painted the exterior of my house in the fall of 2019. Not a complex job. But they did it extremely well. They were easy to work with, meticulous, detail oriented, and worked quickly and efficiently. They went above and beyond in working with me to match the custom paint colors I was looking for. I am more than satisfied with the results. And the price was right. Not quite the lowest bid, but significantly less than the majority of bids I received. I definitely recommend Pristine Painting. read more

We highly recommend Kurt and his team they are professional, reliable, and reasonably priced. Kurt was very responsive ~ I called for a quote on Friday and his crew started on Monday! His workers were extremely courteous, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We hardly knew they were there. As for the paint job itself, the house and garage looked great. Kurt was very professional. He explained their process and gave some suggestions on color and assured that my old wooden shingles would be covered and look good with the stain. His painters were fast and clean. They painted the trim and kept sharp lines. They were fast and made the process look easy. At the end Kurt was right. The house looked great and the shingles had a uniform color and the trim was spot on! I would recommend Pristine Painting to anyone who wants a great painting experience at a good cost. read more

Kurt did a great job on our loft! He was very professional and meticulous -- he even came back for touch ups. Highly recommended.

Kurt really took care of my wife's grandma. Last year my wife and I started taking care of her grandmother at her house in Los Altos. The house was in bad shape, inside and out. We've made many improvements but the best one by far has been getting the house painted by Kurt. The neighbors still compliment the work, it really updated the look of an older home. I was really impressed at his professionalism as we couldn't be there during regular working hours. Grandma says he is a very nice man and is very happy with her "new looking home". Highly recommend, will use again. read more

We hired Pristine Painting after getting three estimates for exterior painting for our stucco house. We selected Pristine Painting because of pricing and Kurt seemed like a knowledgeable and great guy. Kurt and his workers were professional, unflappable (I changed trim color mid-way through), conscientious (they covered everyone's cars parked nearby our house) and outstanding painters. The painters were quiet and respectful, always helpful and clear with questions. We had not heard of Home Depot Behr paint that PP uses so researched and it is one of the top 3 rated paints. Not a drip of paint went anywhere it shouldn't have. Kurt has had the same team for over 10 years. Kurt and Hugo were always available. PP spray washed our house first and we arranged for some extra spray washing and they did an outstanding job. Everything took 3-4 days. Super great experience. We wouldn't use anyone else for painting now. read more

I read through all of the Yelp ratings and had 5 different painters give me bids. Pristine Painting gave me the best bid and offered the best timeline for service along with a few other things that he noticed that my house needed. Kurt ended up also doing both of my decks and refinishing my front door. He worked with me every step of the way. Was there when he said he would be and has been back on a couple of different occasions to help me with different issues unrelated to his paint job. My best reference is to say that I would definitely hire him again and have already referred him to friends. If you go with Pristine you will not go wrong. read more

I solicited four bids from reputable painters in Santa Cruz to paint the exterior of my house and selected Kurt and Pristine. I bought the house a year ago and it was in desperate shape and needed detailed prep work and TLC. Of the four, Kurt was the only one who reassured me that his crew would take care of all the prep work, which actually took a two-person crew two full days to complete. One of the other painters actually told me if I wanted to get the prep done more cheaply I should go to Home Depot and hire a couple of guys--that painter was not selected... Anyway, Kurt gave me a very reasonable bid compared to the others and backed it up with a multi-year warranty. He said the siding would not only need to be sprayed two coats but that the second coat would be "back-rolled"--a process where one guy sprays and the other guy goes right after him and rolls the paint in to ensure maximum penetration. The crew was here every day on time, were very courteous, and responded to my suggestions and requests with no questions asked. They did a terrific job and went above and beyond what I expected. Since they were so detailed and took well over a week to complete, I thought Kurt would ask for additional money when we met to settle up. To my relief, he simply asked if I was happy with the job and to let him know if I had any concerns come up in the future because they would come back to make things right. Neither my wife nor I could be happier with the work they did and we wholeheartedly recommend Pristine painting and will use them for all hour house painting needs in the future. read more

Kurt is a true professional. He took the the time to discuss what we needed in detail, was meticulous in preparing the exterior walls for new paint and did a great overall job. He also protected our large garden, roses, etc., when painting and did a complete clean-up before he left the job. I heartily recommend Kurt and Prisitine Painting. We will hire Kurt for our future painting needs as well. And a locally owned company to boot. read more
