I really did not know what color to paint my house. I wanted something colorful, not beige or white, but I didn't want something so colorful that it looked like a "clown" house. Full disclosure: when Gregory first explained his process for picking paint colors to us, I was a bit of a skeptic. My initial thought was "I don't need a therapy session to pick paint colors, I just want some shade of blue for the house and white for the trim". ‍ But then we had our paint picking session with Gregory, and it was SO helpful. (And no it's not a "therapy session" - it's just a very thorough conversation about color options where he helps guide you to discovering what is the best color choice for you). By the end of it, we'd decided on a color I had not initially been considered (a lovely blueish teal), which I had worried would be too dark, or too similar to the home's previous color. But it wasn't too dark at all, is definitely not too similar to the color we had before, and it looks absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't be happier with the results. Transformational repainted our single-unit dwelling one year ago. I waited this long to post a review to first see how things weathered and to see if anything strange were to turn up that concerned his work. I'm happy to now assign Greg and his Transformational team a 5-Star rating for the work they did: The overall work done remains like new, and I'm particularly pleased with his diligence at the hard-to-get-at locations.,,, such as slightly below the perimeter dirt line. There are zero visible areas he missed. Greg early on worked well with my wife and me to go over what he in his professional opinion believed needed doing, pointing out--among other things--that one side of the house needed an undercoat whereas the opposite side did not. All would get pressure spraying. He said the garage door needed no repainting--I was ready to go either way on that--and he helped my wife decide on the color, of which--a year later--we remain thoroughly enamored and for which we have zero regrets. Special kudos to his two assistants who did the tedious job of scraping blistered old paint off the gazillion uprights and horizontal bar of our large deck's safety railing. I had been ready to settle for something less than their superb work there, but Greg obviously was not. Nor were the two assistants, I could see. The price we paid was fair, but one comment: Try to ascertain up front what you want, as later changes can add up. We'll be calling Greg again, when and if we decide on interior painting. read more

After seeing all the rave reviews, it seems almost pointless to add another, but... I've had a few houses painted over the years (exterior) and have dealt with many contractors. Gregory and his crew exceed all the others in every category. Gregory was extremely helpful in guiding us the correct colors; his crew is professional and polite; there is no mess during or after the job; their painting is impeccable. Gregory suggested that we paint the eves (on a two story house), which had been left a natural wood finish. So, we had them painted and are very happy with the much cleaner look. Gregory and I did not discuss the natural wood ceiling in the exterior entry way which was badly faded. When his lead painter showed up on painting day #1, he noticed it and suggested that he touch up the stain and refinish it - which he did as part of the job and it looks fabulous. Transformational color is exactly what happened when I entered my repainted room! Gregory was very easy to work with through the painting process and the final result is beautiful! My white wood paneled ceiling was made to resemble white washed wood - worm holes included. The realism of the wood is incredible, I cannot decide what I enjoy more, the stria red walls or the white washed wood effect. And somehow Gregory made red walls soothing, not to distract the eye from the gorgeous window view. We recently had our home painted by Transformational Color. The exterior of our home looks fantastic and the suggestion to add color design to our entry way is great. The crew are very professional, friendly and polite. After painting the exterior we decided to have our living room and family kitchen painted. We didn't have any idea of what colors we wanted and Gregory spend quite a bit of time helping us choose the colors. He came equipped with piles of color samples and we choose some colors and the next day he came back with large samples that we could place in different areas. This is the 2nd time Gregory has worked on our house. His first time was as a sub-contractor working for Elite Construction and worked on the interior. Marvelous job on the interior. Came time to get the outside of the house done and Transformational came up high on Yelp and confirmed by Elite Construction. Sent out requests for quotes, one never responded, another was booked to July and the third took over a week to get back. Gregory was on it right away and made time around our over-the-hill schedule for a job-walk. When he showed up, on time, I immediately remembered him from our interior remodel. Gregory proved fun to work with and we clicked right away. He also provided a lot of helping us to pick colors. We are colorfully loud people and we couldn't be happier with the resulting color combinations. It augments the architecture of the home and has made our Brady Bunch house look modern and brand new. From a technical aspect, the crew did a great job on the prep. I'm a bit of a stickler with that stuff and my expectations were met.
