Wow! We are so pleased and happy with our choice to use Campos, and have recommended them to many…read moreof our neighbors, who have also used them and are happy, too. Allow me to elaborate on our experience: =================================== * We met with 6 landscape design companies, and the 5 others all paled in comparison with either double prices, availability (2 were 6 months out to start), crazy personalities, bad reputations, and non-licensed) * They were quick to give a verbal quote, and within days, gave us a very detailed proposal, everything spelled out with verbose language, priced out separately giving us the decision whether or not do that piece, or not. * They provided a beautiful 3-D design of what we agreed upon to do, and they final draft drawing to submit to our HOA. * They began parts of the project the very next week, and finished within a month. What makes them unique: ====================== * Campos has a large staff of over 60 people. At times, there were 8 workers like busy bees getting stuff done. Often, they worked Saturdays, too. A few superstars by name: ======================= * Jorge, lead/co-owner, just got it. He is young, but impressive with his extensive knowledge on literally everything. * Linda, so sweet and responsive to everything project-related, ordering, etc. * Jesus, lead project manager, so very nice and knows how to install EVERYTHING.

George and his crew installed a retaining wall, leveled the grade, built a deck, and installed walkways with poured concrete slabs separated by gravel. This was a fairly large project and we're very happy with their work. While not the cheapest, the quality of their work, diligence of the crew, and George's oversight was worth it. I highly recommend Campos Landscaping for all you landscaping needs!

Ryan from Foundation…read moreSolutions met us on-site and developed a plan to secure the retaining walls so we could repour the ADA ramps. Ryan, the office staff, and the field crew were all a pleasure to work with. Their communication was excellent, and they adjusted their schedule as needed due to weather delays. They kept me informed throughout the process and helped develop solutions when unexpected conditions arose. Foundation Solutions is a great company, and I highly recommend them. I had noticed some settling happening in one corner of the house near the windows and was concerned that there might be an issue. I also wanted to know if there was anything we could do to strengthen the home in case of earthquake. I sent a message to them on Yelp and received contact back within a day. It was easy to schedule an appointment on the phone. Ryan showed up to do a free evaluation. He took a look at everything in the house, the garage, side yard, and crawlspace. He even let my 7 year old son assist him with some of the process while taking measurements. He explained the settling that we had in the house and had a few recommendations that he said were of no real urgent concern. He told me what to look out for in the future as signs that we might need to take remediation steps. Overall, he came across as extremely honest, detail-oriented, earnest guy. One detail to share that I think illustrates something about Ryan. For context, we are a no shoes in the house family. Over the last 5 years, we've had a decent number of contractors come do work in the house. The no-shoes thing is always something I end up either discussing or (more often than not) temporarily ignoring when people come into the house to work. In this case, Ryan had already noticed the row of shoes by the door and my unshod feet and removed his shoes without a word about it before entering our house. I'm pretty sure that's the first time that's ever happened. That attentiveness alone already put him in the 5 star category!

Rob Tol Construction - Deck repair

Rob Tol Construction just completed a full remodel of our master bedroom, bathroom, and closet…read more From the start, working with Rob was a great experience. His bid was competitive, and he was able to offer suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of or didn't know were feasible. The initial timeline was several months out, but Rob remained in contact and was able to move us up on the calendar. The project was completed at the quoted price, plus a couple of scope additions we requested. Work took a little longer than expected, likely due to modifications needed to bring our aging home up to standard, and the perfection of our tile work; Rob does things the right way, and uses great subcontractors. The end result is beautiful. The bathroom remodel was completed so perfectly that we now see flaws in our guest bathroom which was remodeled 3 years ago by a different contractor. Our master suite has transformed from the worst part of our home to our personal sanctuary. I would not hesitate to hire Rob Tol Construction again. In fact, we're already planning to when we're ready to start our next project. As a side note, but important to us, Rob and all of his subs were great with our dogs. so we never had to lock them away during the project.

It took a little time to get on his calendar, but it was worth the wait. My remodel involved redesigning three bathrooms and the kitchen. All were taken down to the studs, so there was lots of demolition. Rob sequenced the work so I was never without a functioning bathroom. Everything adjacent to the work areas was wrapped and the floors protected. Rob and his helper were meticulous about checking all the new fittings for leaks and repaired damage from a pre-existing leak from an upstairs bathroom. Rob's original estimate was accurate and the only extras were things I asked for in the course of the job. Now that the job has been done a while I am completely satisfied.
