Paso Robles Floor - Almost done!

When Lowe's installers realized our new dishwasher was damaged, they capped the pipe while we…read morewaited for a replacement to arrive. Well, the cap broke and flooded our kitchen ruining much of our laminate flooring. While quite stressful, we had extra boards on hand so we thought we could easily get it fixed. We first got a quote from another company for many (!) thousands & they said we'd have to replace the entire kitchen floor with tile or a non-matching laminate (different from the rest of the house) and have two raised seams at the kitchen exits. This wasn't what we wanted. Then Tom came out from Paso Robles Floor. He told us this could be a simple repair. They replaced the damaged boards for us - it was timely, inexpensive, and our floors are beautiful again! We could not be happier. Tom & Kyle really know flooring & offer excellent customer service. They didn't try to upsell us. They were honest & up front as well as highly skilled. When we have any future flooring needs we know exactly who we will call! Don't waste your time or money with anyone else. What a relief!! Thank you Tom & Kyle!

The selection of flooring and knowledgeable sales staff (Kyle) are professional and the selection of flooring is extensive. However, the installation was absolutely top quality! Tom and Chris were meticulous and efficient. They were able to correct errors made by others to ensure our floors came out amazing. Their attention to detail was impeccable. We love everything about our beautiful floors and will only trust our future floors to Paso Robles Floor Company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Todd provided fair pricing, was very thorough in his inspection of the condition and what to expect, and fit me into his schedule with short notice. We decided to purchase our own flooring but he also sells direct. We had about 1400 sq ft of laminate plank, 200sq ft for vinyl in bathroom, and new baseboards throughout. Todd and his journeyman were efficient and completed the work on schedule. Some of our flooring pieces did not come in time and he accommodated by coming back a different day to complete everything. While others may have had a more competitive price, you need a quality installer and someone who has a lot of experience. Most others will send someone to bid and a separate crew to do the work, Todd himself did the work and was hands on for our install. He provided advise and answered all our questions along the way. The attention to detail, care, and quality will show for years to come. Highly recommend.

A friend who was established in this area gave us Todd's contact information and the rest is history. Our home needed some remodeling and Todd and Crew came in, demo'd out all of the flooring to be updated and or replaced. Todd & his crew did a clean, precise and immaculate job replacing our once tiled floors with the flooring of our choice. What a difference it made! Todd & Crew are detailed, precise and super duper clean. Believe me, this is so important. If you'd like your floors, counter tops and/or etc to change, I highly recommend you contact Todd! You will not be disappointed!

I'm updating my review, while they worked with me on the schedule, the quality of the install was…read morepoor. There are nails sticking out of the carpet on each entry way / room change where tiles changed to carpet. I've emailed/called many times, immediately after and for over a year after, but, Knights was not responsive, they said they would send someone, commented on staffing and never fixed the problem. Also after the install, they left no carpet behind.

It's incredible how poor my experience with Knight's Carpets has been from beginning to end…read more My contractor brought on Knight's to complete a little over 4,000 square feet of flooring at a building I was remodeling to turn into a therapy center for special needs children. During my visit to pick out tile, the salesgirl, Mallory, brought out very pricy looking tile. I asked her if it fit into the budget we had outlined and she told me that she "didn't know". The following meeting with Mallory and my contractor I was informed that the tile we picked out was $4,000 over budget. I told the team that I did not approve of this and didn't appreciate the lack of transparency for the budget. Who tries to financially rip off special needs children? This company has such low integrity. But that wasn't the end of our horrendous experience with Knight's. The floor installers spent most of the day on their phone staring at my employees who were preparing the clinic for the children to come receive therapy. The day they left the base boards were already coming away from the wall and the door stops they installed were falling out of the baseboards. We have several cracks in the brand new laminate flooring, which it has taken over a month for them to come repair. In addition to that, the flooring does not reach near enough to the end of the wall to maintain structural integrity, so the baseboards have collapsed into the gap within days on installation. Today they told my contractor they were repairing both the floors and baseboards. They fixed a couple (but not all) cracks in the floor and none of the baseboards. They've told us numerous times that they would come repair it, so we cleared the clinic of children who intensively need therapy, but they did not arrive. The children we work with have enough struggles in their life, and the subpar service from Knight's is further exacerbating an already difficult situation.

Making Up For Lost Time…read more.... My wife and I bought a lot in a growing development in 2017 and went through the process of choosing options and watching empty space become a house. It was fun and we did a good job in most ways, but in a few instances we turned out to be "penny wise and pound foolish". One of those examples was the 2 car garage. It came with a concrete slab, but we could have elected to get an epoxy coating. The slab looked fine for a year, but disadvantages became hard to ignore. Finally, after seeing a new epoxy floor at a friend's garage, we decided to take the plunge after 7 1/2 years. Based on Yelp reviews, we chose Central Coast Polishing and Restoration. Stars: - Overall: 5 - The Start: 5 - Explanations: 5 - Scheduling: 5 - Workmanship: 5 - Communication: 5 - Cleanliness: 5 - Cost: 4 - The Start: I called and spoke with James the owner who came out the next day to look things over. - Explanations: James assessed our situation...explained his process and set expectations. He was thorough - not pushy - and showed us a variety of epoxy colors and textures. The regular cost for a garage our size was $4,000...but since it was the offseason we got it for $3,650. - Scheduling: Easy. James and his crew usually need 3 consecutive days (preferably rain free) for the job. Fortunately we were in the midst of a multi-week dry spell in early December so we picked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the following week. - Workmanship: Excellent. Early Tuesday morning, the 2 man crew introduced themselves and spent roughly 4 hours grinding and polishing the concrete. They took 2-3 hours on Wednesday to prepare and condition the floor. Thursday was a 2 step process. A few hours in the morning to put down the new epoxy covering and a few in the afternoon to apply a sealer. Since the epoxy needed time to "cure", they recommended leaving our cars outside until Sunday, but said we could move boxes back in on Friday or Saturday. We waited until Sunday for everything. - Communication: Very good. James stayed in touch and the 2 man crew always let us know when they arrived, when they left and patiently answered our questions. - Cleanliness: As good as can be expected. Aside from the smell, you couldn't tell it was a construction site. - Cost: Reasonable. The epoxy coating in our friend's garage cost $2,800...but it's a bit smaller. All in all it was a very good experience and we'd recommend contacting James for similar needs. NOTE: One small caution. A piece of their equipment left a small gas or oil stain on the driveway. When I mentioned it to James in a text, he said "use a degreaser or dish soap. It should dilute enough and fade. Sorry about that. It's hard to control every little detail at times". I would have sent somebody back to handle it myself.

When the work was completed the crack was more than visible! I notified James this was not acceptable! He wanted $1,500 to fix it! Now some of the area has risen with sharp edges!
