This was my first ever yoga class and studio I ever went to back, maybe around 2015ish! So this…read morereview is a long time coming. It helped me cultivate my practice, and for that, i will always be grateful. It's a great place for beginners to get a solid foundation to grow and learn. That's pretty important if you are interested in continuing to go deeper in your practice. But that's not always everyones goal. The prices have gone up since I last came here before the pandemic, but that's every studio. Grace, the owner, just opened this new location in the same shopping center as the previous location. I give Grace tons of credit for doing her very best to cultivate a real yoga community. There are always challenges, guest teachers, and theme classes going on to mix it up. There is a nice mix of slower flow and yin classes and more advanced classes like hot power flow. But the classes are not as frequent. It is likely intentional for business purposes. There are also some classes offered as both online and in person, which is a nice touch for those that either don't want to come face to face due to covid or can't make it in time for in person class. I just got a bundle of classes, so I'm coming back more frequently. It's far from where I actually live, so it may be short-lived. But it's nice to be back on my mat. Namaste.

Absolutely the BEST yoga studio. The instructors, staff, location, cost, parking, cleanliness, and…read morehow they pivoted during COVID is amazing. They have class for any level of yogi. I started with the "flow basics" classes that are slow, purposeful movement with lots of explanation. There were people in that class from age 20s to 80s. You do not have to have ANY experience to take that class and the instructors are great at explaining each pose and corrections you need to make. After some practice, I wanted more of a challenge and went to "flow" classes which move faster. Then I began practicing daily to sometimes twice a day during COVID and now love the power flow classes. The instructors are GREAT. Some move faster, some slower. Some instructors incorporate more advanced poses and some stick to the basics. You can try each one out and figure out who you feel most comfortable with and whose style best fits yours. My favorite instructors: Grace, because I like how her classes flow and she's great about explaining the small adjustments that I should be making in my form and practice. Rashad because of his gentle giant nature. He does simple and straight forward flow classes which are just my speed and style! Georgia because even though she can clearly do any yoga pose and is extremely flexible, she modifies her yoga practice to be accessible to anyone. And I love Jess, Lesley, Amy, Dominique, Jeffrey... really they are all great and each have their own style. I also love that the yoga instructors look like real people. They don't look like they all stepped out of a Lululemon commercial (a few do, but they can't help that they are super fit). They are real people, with real bodies, and aren't perfect. I love that I can identify with them. During COVID, the studio started online live classes every day and would also email a link to the FULL video of the class that you can replay as many times as you want for a week. WOW! This was a LIFESAVER. I was able to practice from the comfort and safety of my home as well as watch the video over and over. I was concerned that I wouldn't get my money's worth during COVID (I have the monthly unlimited package) but it has been the complete opposite! During the shut down of the studio and now reopening with smaller classes, I am able to practice from home, with my favorite instructors, conveniently and receive 1 week unlimited replays for every class I sign up for (even if I sleep through the class or it doesn't work for my schedule). I have made out like a bandit! The owner, Grace, is friendly, receptive to feedback and questions, and a fantastic yoga instructor! One of the things I love about this studio is the community. I came for the yoga, but I am committed to this studio because of the community, vibe and people. Everyone is so supportive. It is not a competitive environment at all, it's the opposite, everyone wants to help each other be healthy, strong, and the best yoga practitioner they can be. I have recommended this studio to everyone who will listen because yoga is low impact, increases strength and has huge mental health benefits. Parking: I didn't want to deal with trying to find a spot at a gym... well this yoga studio is in a lot that has 10 times the parking that is needed on any given day. Easy access to the feeder too. Try the 2 week special for new clients. It's unlimited yoga for 2 weeks. You'll find out why everyone rates Awakened Yoga 5 stars. It is the BEST.

We live in Katy or I'd be here often!…read more I was recently a vendor at their Market day. Alanna invited numerous locals to participate in a shop small, shop local event, and advertised it in a magazine. Really community focused :) . It was such fun! The space is lovely - both the foyer as well as the actual hot room (that wasn't heated during the market). There's high ceilings, LOTS of natural daylight, and mirrors on two walls - pretty awesome for a fitness center! Also, we couldn't help but notice how clean the rest rooms are - which have 2 showers (apparently in the men's room too). I sold a lot of my items at the market, and also enjoyed meeting other vendors. Alanna scheduled a wine night for the studio on Dec 20th and I'll be coming in with friends to take 6:30pm inferno hot Pilates, and then stay around for wine night! Fun, fun, fun :)

I love businesses in the neighborhood and if we want them to be around we need to support them. I have signed on as a member and it will be in my new fitness routine. Even though I canceled within the same billing cycle, which ended December 29, and had only been a member for five days, I was charged for January, an additional full month of membership that I did not use. I was also assessed additional charges, including late fees. The total balance reflected was over $200 for a month in which I did not use the services. When I contacted the studio, I was told the charges were automatically generated according to the membership agreement and could not be adjusted. However, the membership agreement does not contain language supporting an additional monthly charge after canceling within the same billing cycle, nor does it contain language supporting the additional fees that were applied. In addition, I have already filed a complaint with the YogaSix corporate office and disputed these charges with my bank. I also informed the studio that the fees are under dispute and should be removed from my account. Despite this, the studio has not updated its records or removed the charges and continues to contact me regarding a balance that should not exist. They have also contacted my husband asking when he will come in for another session and attempted to encourage him to sign up for a membership. These repeated contacts have become overwhelming, especially given that we have both decided to never return to the studio and have made it clear that we simply want the matter resolved and to be left alone. This experience has been not only frustrating but honestly very distressing, especially considering I was only a member for five days.

The free trial class was pretty good, not crowded, and they were friendly. But the regular class was crowded even with the reduced size they have implemented because of Covid 19. I found the instructor hard to hear and it was difficult for me to see what she was demonstrating. I had signed a contract (which included a 5 business day rescission clause) for 4 classes per month. I understood this to mean that I had 5 business days to change my mind making me feel okay about signing up for this. They turned a lot less friendly when I told them I didn't want to continue the contract and only wanted to pay for what I had used. They also informed me the contract did not include 5 business day rescission clause which was confusing as I was sure I had read it. So, when I got home, I reviewed the contract and indeed the clause was there. I called them and told them where it was in the contract. They then informed me that rescission meant that they did not have to return money and only meant that they would waive their 30 day cancellation policy and could avoid further charges. This place seems to be working out for some people. The classes were mostly full and some were even wait-listed. But, I would recommend approaching any of their contracts with caution. Be aware that some text is hidden when they show the contract on their screen.

The reviews were all over the place & none were recent so I decided to try it & get my own opinion. I called about 8;45pm on a Friday night knowing they closed at 9. Then I texted the # apologing for the late hour & let Crystal know we could talk the next day. She was so sweet & opened up a session the next day at 2:30 for me. I loved the massage & after she did something to my back I actually smiled when the pain left my body. I didn't realize before then that I have RBF (resting B face). Not intentionally but because I'm worried about everyone in our family. My current health situation is not good and for some it's fatal. So I've been cleaning out closets, gave jewelry to my grown kids, and am currently looking for a cancer retreat center where I can heal, get some strength back, & work on my diet & exercise. I shared my situation with Crystal & she focused on removing the toxins from my body that the chemo & radiation have caused. She is a professional & very good at her craft. She suggested I come back & start some very basic intro yoga classes they offer and can work my way up at my own pace. I have rented an Airbnb in Mexico so I can afford to have a personal trainer, chef, & hopefully a driver but I plan on back to Crystal until I leave. She's wonderful, caring, & I'm so glad I decided to make my own opinion. I live & breathe with reviews & never try new places without checking Yelp first. And the rating Crystal has is unfair &!super old. Thank you Crystal for the great energy, your warm heart, & the tips on where to get some great tasting vegan food!!
