I'm pretty sure the last time I visited a dermatologist was in high school. But, an allergic reaction sent me back and I found Prism within the UHC network. Prism is located in Southlake, less than a block from Trader Joe's. The facility is new and modern, and the waiting room comfortable with complementary water bottles and a large TV playing national news. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great experience with Dr. Bosley who's recommendations for my condition were on point and effective, making for a very brief follow up visit. Covid precautions were practiced throughout the building. And payment was easy and reasonable. I have nothing but positive to say about my experience with Prism Dermatology. Recommended! read more

My reason for selecting one star is for their billing practice. The are set up for you, the patient to access THEIR patient portal and paying your bill online. The portal is not accessible easy, nor is the display of information comprehensive concerning your patient's responsibility of the invoice. it appears your bill is paid in full, yet they turn over your outstanding portion of the invoice to a collection agency. No part from them calling, emails, or placing an invoice in the mail alerting you you have an outstanding balance. compared to other businesses. read more

About six weeks ago some strange thing started growing on my neck so I finally got into see the dermatologist and he froze that along with several other moles and skin irritations. He did a thorough check of my whole body and I was in and out in 30 minutes. I appreciated that and look forward to the follow up staff was very pleasant and kind. read more

I called Prism Dermatology to see a Dr. for the spider veins on my legs. They have been bothering me for a while and I finally decided it was time to see what my options were. I made an appointment and saw Dr. Houshmand. She was very nice and took her time explaining to me my options. I decided there and then, that when summer was over, I would come back for the treatment. This was back on 5/11. The office was happy to charge me $150 consultation fee that they assured me would be applied to my treatment (I was NOT informed on the phone that I would have to pay such a high price). I asked that someone email me or call me with an estimate for the spider vein removal. I was again assured that within a few days I would have this information. I called the office 2 weeks later to follow up. I left a detailed message with the receptionist. I was told they would get me the estimate asap but nothing. I waited a week and called again. Again nothing. I took my daughter for acne consultation on 6/8 and spoke to Dr. Houshmand in person and asked her to have someone follow up with me. I didn't receive any information even with a personal follow up with the Dr herself. I don't understand why it's so hard for anyone from Prism Dermatology to call me and give me an estimate. The staff there are irresponsible and unresponsive. I would love to get my $150 back and go to a proper dermatologist office that is willing to get back to me. I am giving Priam Dermatology 1 star only because I can't choose a 0 star option. read more

I was really happy at first to come here. Finally all ( medically necessary) skin concerns will be taken care of. The Doctor is ok and has a good bedside manner just did not read my chart and not know what could be the root cause of my problem until I started telling him the medications I'm taking which I already gave them from my referring Doctor for him to read and have an idea why I came in. Second concern, I called to ask Front desk/ billing people they did not know why I was billed in excess and I have insurance. I called back again after sometime, this time the lady I was speaking to had a tone of voice, borderline rude. To think I was calling to clarify why I'm billed more than I use pay in all of my Derma visits in the past. She told me for every concern that I have that wasn't the first reason why I came in I was billed for that. People and businesses have no heart anymore. It's just all about money. Yes maybe you have helped a lot of people but you did not helped me. Do not bother to say that your business aims to provide excellent service in my book you already failed. read more

I absolutely just love it there. Its beautiful, very clean and the staff there are so helpful and very nice! Dr Bosley actually removed a small cyst with few stitches. He knew I was very nervous about the shot and he made it so easy for me. I will definitely let him give shot anytime Anyone who knows me knows that is worst part for me. Clean, well appointed office. Dr. Bosley is patient and caring. The only objection I have is the contstant news playing in the waiting room. Most offices currently turn to an inoccuous chanel such as HGTV which is more interesting and less repetitive. Please consider a change to something more positive. read more

My consultation was for hair loss(hypothyroidism related) & skin check. Their office was nicely decorated but nothing outstanding. I asked if both items would be addressed or if another appointment would be necessary. The office staff was not sure. The PA said we could do skin check but hair loss would need another appointment. Then the Doctor did my skin check. He was respectful and informative, although he seemed to be "training/quizzing" the PA regarding different moles. He then looked at my hair wrote me script for steroidal liquid and I bought shampoo. I was instructed, by PA, that until my thyroid is regulated hair loss would continue but to use items to reduce any itching. That cost me $100 for skin check and $40 for shampoo. I had also mentioned to PA that I was interested in options to improve my sagging jawline and neck. This was not addressed. No one even instructed me to make another appointment for consult. As I checked out, there is a sign stating the doctor is having a baby and his last day will be September 13th but another doctor will start seeing patients. Went in for consultation and a biopsy on my head. This was back at the beginning of June. Had a referral from my care provider and they called to set up an appointment several times. Now that they've done the biopsy, I've received a bill from them and the lab they sent the sample from. I've left 3 voicemails with them and no call backs. I am a new patient as of February 4th. Dr. Bosley is incredibly professional and pointed out several aspects of my skin care regimen that could be augmented to improve its health and appearance. I've had sporadic outbreaks of rosacea throughout my adult life and my previous dermatologist never bothered to focus on a specific plan to manage it. Dr. Bosley's treatment recommendations included both over the counter and prescription solutions. He and the staff at Prism were a breath of fresh air and gave me more confidence than I've had in a long time. PS - The reception area and consultation rooms are beautiful, with a really fresh 'designer' look to them! read more

Don't waste your time or money. I saw positive reviews online and everything looked nice from the website, but left my appointment more clueless and disappointed than when I came in. Scheduled an appointment for two common issues I was struggling with, but the doctor did not have / take time to listen or discuss with me. He spent 3-5 minutes talking over me to a nurse in the room (not looking at my actual skin much at all) and when I tried to ask questions he told me he had a 3 question limit (I didn't even ask 3 questions at that point..) and left the room to see another patient. He told me I could wait around to see if he has time later to answer my questions. I did wait, and he did come back, but again was rushing to get me out. I left in shock at the worst experience I've had with any doctor - even his nurse tried to offer an explanation for his behavior. I paid for my appointment (2x what I've paid for any other derm appt) and left with no notes or explanation of care. He wrote me ~10 different prescriptions that I'm not familiar with, so I did not fill. I filled the 2 names I recognized, but I have no idea why I would need so many that he did not take time to explain or even give patient notes on. I made the office manager aware and she offered no resolution. read more
