While on an overseas trip I trusted them to come to my house 4x a day. I came to discover that they had not been showing up as scheduled and my dogs had gone 11 hours with no one visiting my house. I tried numerous ways to contact the pet sitter directly Via the app, text messages and phone calls as well as calls and messages to the company. I never got a response from the pet sitter until late that evening after I had neighbors go feed my dogs and let them out. The pet sitter said her car broke down and was towed. Not once did she think to inform the company to send a replacement to care for my animals. I also was informed that the pet sitter was acting very strange on the street days prior to the point that the police were called. It took 2 days for the owner of the company to return my frantic phone calls/texts. I didnt have great cell service but was receiving texts as well as messages in the app which I received none from The owner until 2 days after the incident. I found someone else to care for my animals and fired her immediately. I would seriously think twice about using Animal Companions. Especially when you can't get In touch with anyone in an emergency.

They are good with the alarm system and home security. The sitters follow our instructions and leave the house in great shape. We never worry about the pets while we are away! I definitely recommend this company for any one who wants an animal lover to look after their pet. They leave a daily progress note about the cats and the house including their intake and output. Very professional and easy to book online.

On the phone Mr. Booker seemed to understand what I wanted. I was told it would be all good... I was not. When I showed up I should've known... I showed up 4 minutes early then was told to walk my dog on the grass (so the "grass" was in between the parking lot isles which had glass) but I had trust they'd be nice then they plopped him in a crate while yelling to get a leash. I was like how do they have 155 reviews at 4.7. It must be for a good reason right?! As I went to my car a grandma was dropping off a dog at the same time so it made me feel better. When I picked him up...He then said "half his eyelashes were cut"!! As a dog mom I thought okay maybe he moved? Then when their only payment is cash or Zelle (red flag/or supporting local) he mentions my dog scratched him and I lied about the size of my shih tzu. I pick up my dog and look at his front nails and they looked ok. I should've looked at the back. When I brought Chewie into my car to see his brother they are usually so excited... Chewie immediately ran underneath my car seat and didn't get out til the garage door closed while I parked...at my house. I was livid. Then they didn't mention they cut my dogs quick "because it happens a lot", but they did mention they cut Chewie's eyelashes. My dog was so scared I could not reach to pet him once. So I called the owner the story changed 4 times. Started with "he wanted to jump off...He jumped but we got him...Then he had the lead on and tried to jump..." then finally "he could never jump w the lead on." So who knows the story because their cameras don't work-I asked. He has been boarded for many vacations and groomed many times and never showed this behavior. While on the phone with the owner I asked to see the area they were bathed in..he said that was not possible. I just wanted to see how it could've differed from his previous groomers. Owner/groomer said they would groom him today, even without an appointment. Keep in mind this was at 11AM. They told my father in law to pick up our dog at 5PM (I was thinking to myself that's WAY too long to keep a dog to get groomed). We come at 5, THEY WERE CLOSED. They told us to come at 7PM instead. That's VERY suspicious. I'd also like to add when they asked what breed our dog was (he's a yorkie) they mentioned they had 3, but they're girls. We come back at 7 AND STILL CLOSED, no one in sight in the store. So we called and called, no one was picking up. We finally get an answer and we're just demanding to get our dog back. I don't care if he was half done or anything. I just wanted my dog, period. IT TOOK THE MAN 30 MINUTES TO BRING HIM OUT. Like what are you doing with him? I ended up calling the police, because no one was answering, no one was in the store, the store was closed, I still didn't have my dog. Like what else was I supposed to do? Leave my baby in there and not know what they're doing to him??!! They brought him out with the leash so tight you can hear my dog choking. :( I got so mad and told the man he was chocking him. I heard him talk under his breath saying he wasn't choking him. Booooy. You were a lucky man today, let me tell you. THEY DID NOT DO ANY WORK ON MY DOG. Didn't groom him, didn't bathe him, didn't cut his nails, FOR A WHOLE 8 HOURS. NOTHING. NADA. My dog smelt WORSE. I got the nastiest attitude from them. Jeremy and Charles or whatever their names were. They didn't even introduce themselves. So I'm convinced they were doing illegal breeding without our consent with their 3 girl yorkies with MY DOG. DISGUSTING. Owners should be ASHAMED of themselves. Horrible customer service, animal abusers, sexist, and utterly rude. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABY HERE. I don't know how they have great reviews. The place is dingy, unorganized, it stinks, go somewhere else where you know your dog will be loved and well taken care of. 4.7 rating las nalgas.

Once I wasted 3 hours at the other facility, I drove over here. They quickly took a lot of information, wrote several paragraphs of notes, checked him out immediately, and confirmed he was just constipated. While this isn't a huge medical issue, if you have pets (which you likely do if you're looking at reviews here evaluating where to take your pet) you know the human-like bond you have with your pets and the responsibility that comes with that, and my cat was clearly in pain. They very quickly diagnosed, verified, X Rayed, and looked over my poor upset kitty cat, and gave me some laxatives for him. Within a day he was back to eating his food, sleeping in his window, prancing around with his toys, and pooping like normal. The important thing here is that they treated me like a decent person, and most importantly they actually looked at my cat, listened to any and all information I had, asked lots of questions about it, and verified the concerns instead of assuming things. And they were just genuinely nice. Nobody is happy about taking a day off work to have a poor distressed animal. They seemed to understand that there unlike the other place I went. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful here. It appeared everyone wanted to excel at what they were doing, and nobody appeared to be working, but instead most people were seeming to have a desire to help animals, which was refreshing as someone who doesn't regularly go to the doctor themselves, much less entrust random strangers with our family pet. Very happy I found this place, I would strongly recommend when you're panicking like I was because your pet is in discomfort, head over to Meyerland Animal Clinic to get taken care of, as they will do just that.
