My little girl has had bad luck when it comes to her big toe. She lost her nail at the beginning of this year, and recently, it grew a black looking bruise, and it started hurting her. Kaiser on Ming Ave didn't have any soon appointments, so they said the only urgent care other than Kaiser on Stockdale I could take her to is Priority Urgent Care. I thought this one was the closest to me. There is parking in the front and in the back of the building, and I guess I parked in the back because we had to walk to the other side to enter. There were signs, thank goodness. I didn't make an appointment, but when we walked in, the receptionist had me check in on the kiosk where I registered and booked an appointment. While waiting in the front lobby, I noticed they accept walk-ins until a certain time or until they take too many, students needing sport physicals, and they're free!!!! Just FYI! Our time waiting to be seen was a total of 2 hours, I would've given 3 stars for todays visit, but when the doctor did come in and see us, he was very pleasant and considerate with my little girl. And that's all that matters to me! read more

I'm starting chronologically but it gets worse as it goes. An employee informed me that they lost my sample for a test they were supposed to run and when I complained about it the manager then lied and said they didn't lose it despite her not being able to produce the sample for the test. She then proceeded to make nasty comments about how they aren't a planned parenthood and that maybe I should be having my tests run there (it's a service this urgent care offers so her saying that was completely inappropriate). After a heated back and forth I repeatedly asked for her manager to which she responded that she didn't have one (I found out that this was a lie). After finally getting ahold of her superior after months of trying, the lady I spoke to pretended to be nice and understanding and then I found out after that call that she had me banned from all of these urgent cares despite the fact that I didn't do anything and it was her employee that was being borderline abusive towards me. (I wasn't banned before this phone call, I know this because I went to a different priority urgent care between the first incident and the last phone call and they accepted me, it wasn't until after the call that I tried to go again another time and was informed that I was banned). So basically they can lose samples, lie about it, belittle patients, make inappropriate comments about your medical care, and then ban you when you have the guts to report it. read more

Do not go to this clinic. My father went into this clinic for something wrong with his foot. The staff treated him as if he was doing something illegal, and kept persisting with inappropriate questions even after he said he will be using his insurance. It was to the point that he simply left, having not been seen. When we tried to call to complain to the manager, they were being evasive and simply gave us the number of the clinic again. They are unprofessional and did not care for my father's well being. read more

I wasted my time by coming here even though they could have treated me. I came in with mouth pain, and swelling on gum line & lips. I told them i was having mouth pain. The provider then comes in, tells me its not my mouth, its a sinus infection and i need to go to the ER. My fiancee asked if she was sure because the swelling was clearly in my mouth. Her response was "nope nothing mouth related, his mouth isnt swollen, he needs to go to the ER." I then have to drive across town to the ER still in pain. Walk in, have to wait for over an hour just for the provider to come in and tell me that it is 100% mouth related, i just need some antibiotics & that the urgent care could have 100% treated me for this. As im typing this in the lobby i just saw a patient walk in that was at the urgent care i was just at. Im assuming they couldnt do their jobs for her either! Waste of time and money. Dr is lazy and doesnt know how to do her job. read more

Had an appointment and still waited around 1.5 hours to be seen. Provider came in and barely asked my mom what was wrong. They gave her a breathing treatment and neglected to check on her. They said they would be back in 10 mins but didn't come back til 30 mins later only after I said something. Definitely do not recommend as they show no care or comfort for their patients. read more

I came in to the office at approximately 10:00 and explained I was in extreme pain, but felt that the triage was not listening. I was placed in a room to wait to be seen for 1.5 hours+. I did open the door and asked the medical assistant when I was going to be seen. I was told I was next, so I went back to the room and waited a bit more. I then heard in the hallway the Priority Urgent Care speaking about to order for lunch. All this going on while was in pain. I stepped into the hallway again and informed them I was leaving as I had been waiting and obviously they were not seeing patients. Needless to say I asked for my co-pay and left the office. I will not be using them again and feel that giving them any stars would translate that did at least one right, which they didn't. My son which is 22 yrs old came here due to having an uncomfortable pain in chest, he didn't know if it was a muscle pain or something else. They did an EKG and stated it was abnormal and possibly he had inflammation or enlarge heart so they transferred him by ambulance to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. At the Hospital they did blood work, chest X-ray, and another EKG which all came back normal, the ER doctor stated the Urgent Care's EKG test wasn't most likely giving a repolarization result and not accurate. Today we followed up with his primary doctor and they did another EKG which was also normal. So due to the error of this Urgent Care we are stuck with ambulance and unnecessary bills. Clinical staff unable to admit mistakes and refuse to listen to patient concerns. NP refused to prescribe the duoneb that provided him relief in clinic. Told me to go to the ER if I wanted a prescription, something she should have provided. Took 6 HOURS after checkout to receive the correct prescription orders... what a joke for healthcare. Only come here if you want the doctor to tell you he doesn't care about how much pain you're in when you're describing your symptoms. We had to ask if they were prescribing anything before we left or else we wouldn't have known but it didn't matter anyway they never sent any prescription to the pharmacy. This urgent care did nothing to improve my wife's wellbeing or take away any of her symptoms. Do not come here. read more

November 16th 8:30am. I would give them no stars if I could. I came in to get a COVID test because I wasn't feeling well and I have to travel. I also thought I could get my toe looked at while I was there. I checked In online. When I got there I check in and the front lady was cold and unwelcome. I waited in my car for them to call me in. I was seen by a nurse that was super friendly asked me all the questions they normally ask regarding the reason for the visit and took my vitals. When the "dr" came in didn't even say hi. He just came in with an attitude like he didn't want me be there and asked "what are you doing here today" I told him I was there for a COVID test and my toe. (Now I have anxiety and when he was asking all the the same questions I got overwhelmed) he was rude and kept asking the same things I was trying to answer the best I could. I told him all of that should be on my chart that I has already told the lady. He got upset and left. The " Manager" came in with an even bigger attitude and proceeded to tell me that I was being rude and asked me what the problem was. I said " I didn't have one." She continue to argue with me about my responses to the dr as I tried to explain to her that that's not what happened she was not sympathetic or willing to listen at all and only defended the dr of course. But kept saying "I'm here to help you! I'm in the middle I'm not on his said" but then said "well I know him and his not like that" that's does sound unbiased to me. She said "do you want for him to come in and try again?" My response was going to be "yes if he can explain/ask things in the way I understand" but she didn't let me finish and said she was going to issue me a refund instead. I told her that she was discriminated against me because I shouldn't have to disclose my mental disorder for somebody to understand that I have an auditory processing problem. She said a few times it will "you didn't have to disclose that" and I explain to her that I did because she wasn't understanding that I could not process what the dr was asking/telling me. I started to cry out of frustration and embarrassment. She asked again if I wanted the doctor to come in and try again. I actually got to finish my response. And say " yes if he can explain or ask me things in the way I can understand" I could see her attitude change a little when I told her I couldn't processed things normally. Like she know she was a little wrong for yelling and arguing instead of being a neutral party. It's literally the worst experience I've ever had at an urgent care facility. read more

Went here twice for the same issue. First time, I was prescribed some medications for my issue. They knew I had a certain type of insurance but they went ahead and gave me medications that I had to pay for since my insurance didn't cover it. It would've been no problem had I had enough money to cover it. But alas, it was a problem because I had to borrow money to cover meds that I needed. Second time, I went back for the same issue since it did not resolve the first time around. Different doctor saw me and prescribed me a different medication. I specifically asked her if it was covered by my insurance, she responded with "I've never had anyone come back and tell me it wasn't, so it should be covered". I went to fill my script and was told that I had to pay for that as well. Again, had to borrow money for meds. Had I known that I was going to have to pay out of pocket for medication, I would've went somewhere that took my insurance into consideration when prescribing medications. I have to agree that they have to be the best urgent care in town. They are so fast, I always get in and out. You'll definitely be there an hour or less, but I've been there from 15minutes to an hour and a half during a full house in cold/flu season. That is great for an urgent care, and far better than an emergency room. The staff are nice/average. Make sure you park on the side of the building that's across from Jack in the Box; that's where the entrance is, but you can park on the opposite side if you need to. You can make appointments or you can just walk in, and they do have X-ray in house FYI. read more

Today, I made a virtual appointment for my two year old daughter as she presented with a rash this morning along with a cold. I drove to several other urgent cares today to find care and all had hours of a wait. This wasn't going to work as my son is in school and I did not have the time to wait and I was concerned . My pediatrician couldn't see her for days. I did not feel comfortable waiting, so I went online and booked a virtual appointment with Priority and got my apt schedule right away(within 15 minutes)! They called me right after I booked to confirm and get my information and the lady on the phone was so helpful and friendly. I had a 5 minute wait to see the doctor which is unheard of! The provider was amazing and patient with my wiggly toddler that didn't want to be on a video chat and helped me switch my camera to get a better look. She was very sweet and thorough. My husband had been sick with runny nose, sore throat, and fatigue. He is 72 and in a high-risk group if he catches COVID-19. Although double-vaccinated & boosted, he had COVID symptoms. To be safe, he wanted a rapid COVID test. He has private insurance. The doctor, on Sat., Dec 4 did not give him this test, told him runny nose is never a COVID symptom, & sent him off to get a Z-pack. Well, my husband continued to worsen, so I suggested he go elsewhere and get a COVID test. On Monday morning, Dec 6, he went to the Urgent Care on California Ave. and got a rapid test. The results were POSITIVE for COVID-19. I can't tell you how angry I am at the Panana Ln Priority Urgent Care doctor for not testing my husband. My mother was suffering from an ear infection. We reside in, Tehachapi, Ca, so she was not wanting to drive. The virtual appointment was optimal! She was seen somewhat fast, but what really sold it was being able to wait in the comfort of your own home. She was RX meds the same day. My 4 year old daughter was throwing up for 3 days straight. We thought it was a bug that would pass. However, on the 4th day I took her to Mercy SW. We waited in the ER for over 3 hours before she was called back for her vitals. She was sent back to the waiting room for 2 more hours while she threw up 3 more times. I was pivot that no one was assisting me. In addition, the waiting room was so congested making for an extra unpleasant visit. I was so disgusted and disappointed we left after waiting for 5 and a half hours. The next day, I took her to Priority Urgent Care. I had been there once before and was pleased with my experience. When we arrived the receptionist was friendly, she explained what I needed to fill out, and I was called back immediately. The nursing staff was great with my daughter. They were patient and understanding given her condition and reluctance to cooperate (considering she was considerably weak from all the fluid she had lost). We were placed into a private room and almost immediately seen by the doctor. The doctor was sincere and honest. He explained they didn't have the ability to do much for her at their location, and he called in a referral to Memorial Hospital. The doctor sent us over to Memorial. At Memorial where I would generally receive worst treatment than Mercy, we were called back within minutes of arrival. The had already received all the information they needed regarding my daughters condition, and were able to almost instantly begin alleviating the problem. I am forever grateful for the service and urgency Priority Urgent Care offered my child during such a terrible time. They gave me hope and provided comfort when I felt defeated and unable to control the situation. In addition to a clean and sanitary environment, we were provided superior service- a rare commodity in the health care industry. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband went in on Sunday morning to have a vivid test done, the wait was long but that wasn't a huge deal. He was told results would be ready in 3 days 4 at the most it's been 6 days he's hasn't received any class email messages regarding his covid19 test. We've been calling nonstop for 3 days we can't get anyone to answer it rings and goes to voicemail only to hear a mail box is full goodbye. I understand that they're backed holiday weekend and all that but not even being able to pick up the phone or answer their messages is unacceptable. We will never be returning here don't recommend at all for vivid testing all his coworkers that went and got tested elsewhere had their results in 2-3 days go somewhere else you'll regret coming here if you don't. read more

This is a joke of an "urgent care" business. Their so-called "rapid COVID test" takes over 24 hours for results. CVS provided the regular results in 24 hours. A friend had her rapid results from a different entity in less than 1 hour. I had an appointment and they told me to arrive 15 minutes early, which I did. Then waited for over an hour. AUC sees patients with appointments within 10 minutes. The front office staff were rude: first telling me to walk-in, then posting a sign saying to call first which I did, then I was scolded for not coming in the entry. I'll never go to Priority again.
