This was actually our 2nd time going to this urgent care, and we were seen by the same Dr as last time! Let me start when we first checked in. The waiting room was full, my daughter checked in at the front, filled out forms on her cell , and then was checked in by the receptionist. We did wait. We waited for almost 4 hours in total. I went in the back with her this time, and I remembered the Dr with the mario badge reel from the last urgent care visit. Although I'm sure he was tired and working non-stop, he was so friendly, and although no x-ray was done, he ran tests and scripted meds. Waiting at urgent care is expected, so other than the wait, it was a nice experience. This will remain my daughters urgent care when needed. read more

Came in for an appointment with a relative and I was hesitant to write this review but after reading some reviews, I am not the only one who felt this way with one of the providers. We were seen by a PA named Mario, and he was aggressive and demanding during the appointment. I did not expect to be met with this aggression in an office that had nicer front desk staff. We asked a follow up question while in the room, and he responded with "What makes you think that there is a growth?" in a CONDESCENDING tone, as if us asking this question was dumb and we shouldn't have even brought up in the first place; what was the point becoming a healthcare professional, a career that needs a little more compassion than others, if you think your patient's concerns are not worth listening to? Shameful. While I understand the hardships of working in a healthcare office, I find that in no situation should a provider have this kind of attitude if patients have concerns regarding their health. Since this is not the first review about his rudeness and dismissive behavior, I don't recommend seeing Mario as a provider if you don't want to go home more frustrated than when you came in. read more

Brought my son in to be seen. The girls were very kind. The visit was fast and James was great, he explained everything very well.

I had an disappointing experience with Armando Alvarez. I came in knowing it was a UTI I had theses symptoms before, but felt completely dismissed and unheard. I know my body and symptoms well, I was refused treatment!! and sent to the ER unnecessarily!!!! And found out The ER confirmed it was a simple UTI with no complications!! I felt my concerns were treated as secondary to his clinical opinion! leading to a much more stressful experience than necessary! making me feel worried and uncomfortable this isn't just a practice but having empathy I had no problems with other that I see at this urgent care and know how to treat me this experience was so bad and this isn't the first time a professional has made me feel this way at an urgent care they need to be more control on how they treat others!!!! read more

I have brought my kids here 2 times, 2 different doctors and they were both the worst! Both were very condescending, made me felt very dumb for my concerns, the doctor today, smirked and chuckled for bringing one of my kids. This is the last time I come here. I prefer to wait longer at other locations to be at least treated with respect. read more

I'm giving the positive part of my review to the front desk staff/check in was quick. The doctor that I was seen by- he seemed not very concerned with what I had expressed on how my body feels. I also had to remind me of my medication allergy otherwise he was about to prescribe the medication that would cause me allergic reaction. Will have to try another location next time or I will call and request who are the providers that day. read more

I came into this urgent care today needing treatment immediately and the front desk lady told me to sit there and wait. I waited about 20 minutes. No one was helping me so I got up and asked her. How much longer is it gonna take because my whole body is aching and I thought that was the whole point in coming into an urgent care to help me stop the pain right away. We had an excellent experience yesterday. My son was treated by Nurse Practitioner, Heather. She was excellent and treated us with kindness and respect. The x-ray technician was very helpful and kind. His prescription was sent to a new pharmacy, and they sent them all of our medical info, so we didn't have to wait. The wait was a bit long, but that's to be expected for this time of year. read more

I typically use the location at Brimhall or Olive but because of the hour I had to bring my child here. The check-in person was so rude. Just returned :( and got seen by a different doctor. I advised her I was using azo which can affect my urinalysis. The dr here spent about 1 minute with me and dismissed me telling her that I had been there 14 days prior and that I want a culture test. My lab results are skewed due to the active ingredients and dyes in azo and I want further analysis. Front desk girls and the girl taking vitals were great. The true issue is the dr, who lacked the time/care to view or listen to the very detailed explanation I had provided the nurses as to why I was back. read more

Dr asked if I vomited today and I said no, not today so then she asked me why I chose to come in today of all days Then She said oh yeah you're probably pregnant.. came back and said it's negative so she didn't know what else could be wrong I said well could it be a uti or kidney infection and she said yeah maybe so I'll give you 3 day antibiotics and the strongest dose of zofran No bedside manner, compassion, desire to find out what's wrong, testing, etc. read more

Just keep it in mind this is not just a walk in clinic so there are people with appointments. Dr. Pangilnan I highly recommend he was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything. He may come across as going quick but I appreciate that due to seeing as many patients as possible. read more

Not the person to write reviews but this Urgent Care does not care for their patients. Front ladies are very helpful but the wait time is ridiculous. I had a sick baby with fever made an appointment and waited 1hr to get a room and another hour waiting to be seen and after and hour still no doctor. So I talked to a tele doctor with my insurance who didn't like my symptoms for my arm pain. She thought that I might have a fracture and said I should go to urgent care immediately. Well, I couldn't get in for an appointment till 730pm and it was 1pm when I spoke with her. I figured I could deal with it till 730pm. Well of course I didn't get seen till 840pm and when the "doctor" came in she said that I had tennis elbow. Said that I could get a cortisone shot and be on my way. She then said, "Or we can do an X-ray for the hell of it". Anyway, we did it and it came out ok. I mean I was making sure nothing was broken, but to just brush it off is kind of crazy. I should've just followed the other Yelp reviews. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because of the amazing X-ray tech, medical assistant and front desk who checked me in. Very good service and staff is really friendly. Kind of annoying with all the check in process. That's why I'm taking a star away. it will be nice if the check was more simple and also more simple on the app to make an appointment for example sometimes when you're using your insurance and it's on file, it's kind of difficult to get it to work. But the great staff will help you. Highly recommend. Sometimes they do get a little busy and won't be seen so would need maybe more staff. Great diagnosis and great treatment. Find a different place!!! Spent a total of 5 hours in this place for a covid swab. They did not take patients by who came first when they said they did. After the swab I need a paper that said the test I got and the date for work. The girl who helped me said she would go grab it and be right back. 5 minutes later I saw her sit at a desk and help other people waiting in line. I get back in line to another women who gives me a paper that shows my test is negative when I had only gotten it 15 minutes ago... it was a PCR not a rapid. Then says "oh wait I can't give that one to you" and takes it back. Sketchy as heck she couldn't tell me if they had a lab onsite and couldn't answer my questions about that. I eventually got my paper. Missed the phone call two days later saying call back for results. Called back and their automated system is so messed up. No one answers the phones and half of the numbers say "incorrect selection." Option 4 starts talking in Spanish then hangs up on you. This place is horrible to deal with. read more

I came her after visiting another urgent care that wasn't really able to help me and suggested I go to the ER. The website said they had ultrasound equipment at every location so I went there because I was experiencing pain in my gallbladder. After getting there I was checked in and seen in 30 minutes. But I was very upset to learn that they also had no ultrasound. I was once again told I should go to the ER. This place is a JOKE got a call from them today, they lost the sample and they couldn't give my niece her COVID results We were there for 4 hours on Wednesday just for that. We needed the results by today because we have an event in LA county where they require vaccine or a negative test. They are such crooks because a doctor saw her first just so they can bill her insurance! She didn't need to see a doctor, we specifically told the receptionist that all she needed was a COVID test. Receptionist also asked us what test my niece wanted and we told her the rapid one. She said okay and that we would get the results within 15 minutes of the sample being taken. Well that obviously wasn't the case. When my niece walked out of the room she said they told her the results would be ready in two to three days and now they lost the sample! Terrible experience and I even work in medicine myself. I walked in to get a rapid covid test, which was required for my job. I said I would pay cash. They made me wait two hours in the waiting room to tell me that I couldn't pay cash and they are required to bill my insurance. This is a lie. You are not legally obligated to bill insurance. I asked them why they couldn't tell me this two hours earlier and they had no answer. They gave me the billing number which just sends you straight to voicemail. Not only that, they don't allow you to wait in the car or get a text when it's your turn so I had to wait in the lobby. Terrible customer service! read more

I went in for a rapid COVID test & once again this location failed me.. Beware of the medical assistants adding unnecessary "urine samples" for a COVID test. This is their way of charging your insurance extra for no reason at all. I was told it was needed for my COVID test & now my insurance is telling me I'm getting charged for a pregnancy test.. Whaaat... They never once mentioned it was to see if my symptoms could be related to pregnancy. & if my urine test was for a "pregnancy test" then how do you explain why they gave my boyfriend a urine test too????? To check if he's pregnant as well?? Dumb of me to not ask why they needed a urine test for COVID in the first place.. Warning for anyone else going in for unnecessary charges. I wouldn't even give this place one star. I took my 4 year old daughter to be seen at 10:30am at night and was told by the person at the front desk that they didn't take my insurance. The same insurance I had when I was allowed to receive medical care for myself, my son, and my daughter on October 22, 2020. The two girls that work at the front desk were completely rude. Refused to allow my daughter to see a provider because they didn't believe I had the correct insurance. One of them was on the phone with a manager, who also refused to speak to me and told the two girls they could not give me information to make a complaint about them. I was handed a sticky note with an email and told I could make a complaint and that they would already be aware. Refusal of medical care for a 4 year with insurance. Additionally be aware that they do not sanitize their lobby. I was there at least an hour and not one person came out to clean the lobby chairs after sick people had been sitting in them. Medical provider so haphazardly caring for people in a pandemic. NEVER take anyone you are about to this urgent care. Should seriously train your staff better. I have been here in 2 occasions. My first visit was with my daughter the day after an emergency room visit. We were one of the first customers. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The doctor that we saw was also kind. She was knowledgeable and helpful. She gave my daughter a shot and fixed her right up. 2 thumbs up! My second visit on the other hand was frustrating. They only had 1 person at the front assisting new patients. The waiting room was full. The wait was quite long. We finally got called back to a room. Again, we waited a long time. This time for over an hour. We opened the door thinking maybe they forgot they put us in the room. The doctor finally came in for 30 seconds. She told us you need X-rays and left. Ummm...okay. Another 20 minute wait for the x-ray tech. This young man comes in, takes my son and not even 2 minutes later brings him back. Your finished son? Another 20 minutes goes by. Doctor comes back your fine isn't just a sprain. Ice it. Had to take my son to a podiatrist 3 weeks later because it still wasn't "fine." One good experience and one bad. Made an appointment for my son after he had been with a cough for almost a month. I took him to his primary doctor twice and today he was just not feeling well. I made an appointment was in a room within 30 min of checking in! Awesome! Everything was good till the Np came in Cesar Lima! He does not have no regard or an ounce of compassion for my son that is 4 and not feeling well. He pretty much told me why I didn't follow up with my primary doctor, I told him My son was on medication for 2 weeks it helped but the cough came back. Pretty much making me feel like the worst mom in the world. He scared my son when he told him to Cough more than twice. (A little aggressive) I wanted to have an x day done but he said lungs were clear. Avoid this NP. Wish 0 star was the option here but had to put the 1 although they deserve a 0. My husband was just there yesterday as he works in CA and got Covid so he went in to get anti nausea medication. He used a at home testing kit which was positive before arriving there. They made him do a urine sample first then back out in the lobby to wait. The female doctor (Mexican lady) kept asking him if he drank 3 times w different types of alcoholic beverages since his urine showed no drugs. Very upset how my husband was treated and w the 2.4 star reviews I see why. Some people get gravely sick from other things than alcohol and drugs and one would think a healthcare facility would understand this. Absolutely appalled about the unprofessionalism there and making sure others in the area avoid this place or your loved one will be treated like scum. The only way to make this right is to have that particular doctor work on her poor bedside manner. read more

I used to love this urgent care but np Mario has me questioning this. He is very dismissive, rude and rough. On multiple occasions he's made myself and other family members seen by him feel disrespected and dismissed with his "care". He is always quick to get you out and not answer questions. And if you take kids? Forget it! All he'll do is give a quick glance & barely assess them and say it's a cold. He also rather scream his quick diagnosis over a crying child and rush out the door rather than wait to speak to parents once they calm down. He has no compassion or patience for children or people who are truly feeling unwell. He dismisses concerns and walks out before you can get a word in. If you go to this place do not be seen by him because he truly makes you feel like you're in the wrong for seeking medical care. Medical "professionals" like this are the reason why people don't like going to drs. Everyone obviously comes in to feel better and get relief, not to be talked to in a demeaning manner as if you're supposed to know what's the issue. If you don't like your job then maybe you shouldn't do it. These are real people, not just numbers. read more

I will say the Dr who took care my son was "Amazing" so professional helpful and communicated everything in full detail, as a parent it was very helpful. Everyone who helped us was amazing... Now the young ladies in the front desk is another story. So unprofessional! With that being said I will definitely come back!
