I found myself in dire straits when I discovered my Septic system was malfunctioning on Christmas Eve. I called the emergency service lines for most of the major outfits that service the Brockville/Smith Falls corridor. I explained that I had a houseful of relatives coming to celebrate the first Christmas in my new home (an older farmhouse north of Brockville) I felt desperate and despair when I realized I had to cancel Christmas as I had no working toilets, sink or showers. Most of the services stated they could not send anyone for several days. Later that afternoon got a call back from Sheldon Pilatzke, who patiently listened to my situation and started to help me troubleshoot the situation. Needless to say.. he said, "I can't leave you like this" ... and a couple of hours later arrived with the tools needed to pinpoint the 'root' of the problem.
