    Priority Pass/American Express/Plaza Premium Lounge
    Charlotte W.

General Information. Priority Pass is a membership that allows you to access airport lounges all over the world regardless of the airline you fly and the ticket class purchased. What this means is that for the frequent traveller who appreciates having a lounge to work/sleep/relax, this is a great membership to have. There are 3 levels and I currently have the Prestige Membership at $399 USD per year. This level gains entry to all lounges with no fee and one additional guest can join at $27 USD per visit. Terminal 3 International Flight Departures - Toronto Pearson The Priority Pass lounge at Terminal 3 also shares the lounge with Plaza Premium and American Express (Platinum and Centurion cardholders only). There are several Plaza Premium/Priority Pass/Amex lounges in Terminal 3, but the one I went to was close to gate C32. This lounge is very large and comfortable, and the day my parents and I utilized, it was empty. We were duly impressed and found it better than the Maple Leaf lounge. There are comfortable cushy lounge chairs that line the wall overlooking the airplanes as well as ample desks to eat/work, 4 computer stations with free internet (one hooked up to a printer), luggage storage, and bathrooms (this lounge did not have shower facilities). There is a wide variety of food (hot and cold) and for our visit, they had a rendition of Beef Stroganoff, steamed potatoes and vegetables and fried rice. The lounge also had a salad and cereal bar, bread station and dessert varieties (cookies, muffins, fruits). The drink selection was equally large with white and red wines, aperitifs, beers and liqueurs (I started my vacation with a spicy Bloody Ceasar...woo hoo!) Standard water and juices are of course available. All in all, this is a great lounge and I will definitely be using my Priority Pass more often. I find that out of all the PP lounges accessed, the one in Pearson's Terminal 3 is the better of the lot (yeah Pearson for once)! For travelers who frequently purchase Business/First class tickets, than this membership would be moot as lounges are a part of the ticket. Overall, a great membership to have. FYI. This lounge also accepts non-membership guests (single entry) at a price. 2 hours duration is $30 CDN and 3 hours is $35 CDN - this is not a bad price considering all the amenities (including free Wi-fi and plenty of outlets to charge your laptop/iPad). No reservations are required for membership - just pop-in and check-in at the counter. Tip. Some airports require passengers to pass through security check first then you can access the lounge (like at Pearson). At other airports, you have to access the lounge first then check-in at the security station (which means you are at your gate like at the Athens International Airport). Just be warned because we made the mistake of passing through the security check in Athens thinking we could access the lounge after, however, it meant that we were outside our gate for 4 hours. The lounge was before the security check. Keep an eye open.

Gate 32C in terminal 3 is brand spanking new. This is one of the nicest lounges I have ever been to. The food is decent, but the size and comfort level are fantastic. I don't care for the free stuff, as much as I like a quite place to relax before flying. Check out the pictures I posted, then visit the lounge. This place blows the other Canadian lounges out of the water.

This place is awful. There is an odd smell. The food is terribly unappetizing. Carpet is absolutely filthy. Staff seem to hate their jobs.

It is not worth the money if you are looking for food. The lounge it self is comfortable and quite.

The food was OK and we wish there were more choices for vegans/vegetarians or even more food choices period for all. The limited choices we had were good. We were a large group of 7 so I didn't think we would make it but it only took about 20 minutes before we were notified via e-mail that it was our turn. Food selection included cookies, pretzels, chips and dip, cereal, salad, soup, curry and rice, samosas, pasta, and a fish dish. I think there was only one server working but she cleared dishes and wiped things down pretty quickly.

Guess it's about timing though, as I've heard from my friends that it's always super crowded. The breakfast eggs are often overcooked to death, turning into this grey-greenish solid. And the cleanliness of the tables, plates, and cups are sometimes questionable. Around 11ish they start serving lunch, and the selection is slightly better than breakfast. I've come across their butter chicken curry a few times, and it's quite alright. There is a very limited selection of food and drink, but it's still a good enough place to charge your electronics and get comfortable before a flight.

Check-in process was simple, just had show my membership in the app. Upon entering found that the lounge was really small. Probably held about 50-60 guests. Most of the tables were in the back side of the lounge. The small bar was right in front of the entrance. On the left side of they had few more couches and booths. The food station had few dishes and salads. Drink station had soda dispenser and coffee machines. The dessert station was near the entrance. It wasn't surprising at all that they were at max capacity. I was really pleased with the food they served. The rice was so good, it had such nice aroma. The chicken was also delicious. I got multiple servings of both of them. The tap beer was also good. Staff members were working hard to keep restocking the station while also cleaning up all the tables with left over dishes and glasses. Despite the limited crowded space and messy stations, I was glad to find this lounge for some quick meal and drinks since this terminal has such limited choices, and most of them are mediocre. I'd be at this lounge every time now when I am traveling thru this terminal in Pearson.

I was also half dead with a cold and trying my best to hide it so they'd let me through the gates. First thing I noticed was that sleek, shiny, lounge-y atmosphere. Damn, this place looks like a hotel and was beautiful. Small, but with shiny wooden decor and large windows that looked out onto the runway. Off to one corner was a discreet area for a shower. This must be where the frequent flying elite brush up. I sat at one of the comfortable seats and just stared outside until I had to go. Blissful. One of the main benefits of the lounge is of course, free food and refreshments. I'm guessing they rotate through different international fare. That day, I was only up for something soupy because I was sick. Luckily for me, they had laksa noodles. Even more luckily for me, I found it very tasty. Sipping away at my laksa and unlimited earl grey tea certainly helped put me to sleep for 8 hours straight on the plane ride afterwards. Yes, there were more people than I thought there would be. Yes, there were a surprising amount of families and kids. But this isn't some 18+, extra exclusive lounge. If I have my family with me and earned/paid my way into the lounge, what am I gonna do? Leave my kids outside? I happened across a previous review that starts with: "It blows my mind when I see 4 and 5 star ratings for this lounge. Have you never been to another lounge before?" No, Jordan. I haven't. Because I'm a broke af young adult that just finished paying off college debts, goddammit. Chill. Let me enjoy your privilege for once. (17/100) - 2018

The offerings included frozen basa fillet in a coconut-based sauce, overcooked chow mein, mayo-heavy coleslaw, and frozen chicken dumplings--overall worse than a decent food court meal, or even an average airplane meal. I understand that a domestic lounge may cater to short-stay travelers, but since international passengers are also being accommodated here, there should be a wider variety and better quality of hot food options.
