I've held accounts with this branch of the Principality for the past 5 years. It's recently moved location, and is now in bright newly refurbished premises in Green Street. The offices are spacious and welcoming, and there's even some toys for your children to play with - keeps them occupied for a couple of minutes, anyway! All of the staff that I have come into contact with have been friendly and efficient. I took my mortgage out with them last year, and the Mortgage Adviser made the process as easy as it could be. We had an issue over seven and a half years ago and our Mortgage Broker said Principality were a good lender and should have no problems. We passed our AIP no problems and were up front with our issue from many years ago and even showed the issue was resolved. Our credit score was good otherwise we would not have passed. We met all their lending criteria and they decided to turn us down. They would not even give a reason to the Broker why. What's the point in having a lending criteria and then move the goalposts? Really disappointed with them. We all make mistakes in the past and we addressed ours and have been clean for many years... just seems some lenders hold on to the past even though it was many years ago. read more
