A little nervous and a tiny bit scared but upstairs I went. The receptionist was very welcoming as was the atmosphere. Once I got in the chair Dr. Fisher and his helper Kennedy were amazing. This time I'm only here for a consult thankfully, Next time it'll be the full work up. But both were very good at explaining what's going to happen, And what to expect. Back up front receptionist was great at ensuring the forms were sent to my insurance (they don't direct bill) and explaining how much everything would cost when I'm back. If you are in the unfortunate position of needing an implant or dental surgery I would recommend Dr. Fisher.

I had a gum graft about 7 or 8 years ago and last year my dentist told me it was getting worse and recommended another graft in the same location. She referred me to Dr. Fisher. He had just moved to his new location on Gateway Boulevard (previously on Whyte Avenue) so everything was new, swanky and top of the line. My first visit was the consultation. Dr. Fisher met with me and let me know what would need to be done, how the procedure would go and what I could expect post surgery. He explained to me that he wouldn't do the procedure that was previously done on my gums, but his technique would hold up longer, and that he would insert synthetic bone. He was very professional yet easy to talk to. As a periodontist, he seems genuinely interested in helping people. They sent off the estimate to my benefits provider. It seems like there was a mixup because I never got my coverage back. One call to Dr. Fisher's office and they were able to correct the situation right away. After receiving the estimate and getting good news that much of it would be covered (though I would have done it anyway), I booked the surgery with Dr. Fisher. The day of the surgery, Dr. Fisher again was very professional, explaining everything that he was doing. It was quicker than I expected and the surgery was pretty much painless. I saw Dr. Fisher a couple more times for follow-up appointments and had no issues. The last time I saw my dentist, she commented how great a job it was. I'm hoping it will last longer than the last graft, but I can definitely feel and see the difference in my mouth. In fact, after seeing Dr. Fisher, it looks like I've never had gum problems at all, where my first graft looked like it was a patch job. If you're in need of a periodontist, I would recommend Dr. Fisher. I never checked other periodontists but he probably does cost more. However, when it comes to your oral health, it's worth it.

The periodontist also diagnosed me with PTSD while I was there which I found interesting since she is not a psychiatrist. She told me that the pain I was experiencing was all imagined. Both of them are wonderfully kind - they always ask about my family - and the dental work is done gently and without rush. That said, the appointments are somehow always on time! Teaching at the University, Dr. Demchuk keeps up on his skills. He also has unique hours to accommodate a variety of work schedules - If you're up for it (pun intended), you can schedule a 7:00AM appointment! My only complaint, and not significant to warrant any fewer than five stars, is that this office is still very much paper-based. As booking takes place in a book (as opposed to a computer), it sometimes takes a few minutes to find the perfect appointment time. The daytime receptionist is extremely friendly and pleasant (I believe Jacqueline?) I like that they have evening appointments until 8pm twice a week (mondays and tuesdays). It's really helpful for those of us who work days during the week. Lets face it... we all hate going to the dentist. It's not the most pleasant experience you can have. But Dr Wolle and Whyte Ave Dental Centre make it as comfortable as a dentist visit can get. I always recommend this office to people I know who are seeking a dentist.

Diamond Dental had great reviews so I called to inquire about an appointment. After talking with the very nice and helpful receptionist. She put me on hold while she discussed the matter with the doctor. Instead of booking an appointment for the next day, they asked us to come in asap. The location is breath-taking and all the staff are very friendly. The service was impeccable and is also reasonably priced. We strongly encourage everyone to go to Diamond Dental for all your dental needs.

My dental hygienist was, actually, also similar in personality! I was received into the dental chair within 5 minutes of my appointment time. The cleaning seemed to take a while, but maybe that was my problem.... There was some office banter in the background so I got a little insight into the social lives of the staff, but I find that enjoyable (aren't we all a little voyeuristic on some level?) and reassuring that it's a happy place. After my cleaning the dentist was in to see me right away. The hygienist saw me out at the end to give my my goodie bag and a chocolate treat. I thought the chocolate was a little strange, some mixed messaging. But lets face it, I may have administered some self medication of the cocoa variety after the trauma of teeth cleaning. Okay okay, I ALWAYS eat chocolate after the dentist. If you have children, there is a fun looking play station (in the old sense - a wire and bead labrynth) in the waiting room. I interviewed the hygienist about baby's first dental visit and I'm confident that she would be a good introduction for my son to the world of dental hygiene visits. Dr Sekhon is so incredibly skilled and efficient. He does not go back and forth between patients like a lot of dentists do, making one filling take upwards of an hour. He has fixed other dentists poor work and really cares about the aesthetic outcome as well as quality and durability. His staff are very knowledgeable and soo kind. They really take their time with you and cleanings are very thorough. His practice also uses a lot of new "technology" that I have never seen before. Their office is gorgeous and equipped with IPads, Nespresso and chocolate. So even though they're incredible inconvenient because their office is like 35 mins away from me and they don't do direct billing.. I will forever go see him, because it is incredibly hard to find a quality dentist and one who does not leave you in worse pain then when you came in!!!! Last thing, they have a really skilled dental assistant there who can take off and put back on wires, so you don't have to go to your ortho before hand!!!

I reviewed a 3D model of what my teeth would actually look like. I tried on a version of what my teeth would look like before the actual prepping appointment. While getting my teeth prepped, him and his dental assistant made me feel so comfortable the entire time! The day of the veneer insertion was a breeze! Thanks to Dr.Sekhon and the amazing staff he has I now have a smile I feel confident showing off! 10/10 highly recommend
