Waited for a long time and I went to customer service, ended up my order is not ready and she called Sean the acting store manager does not even provide a proper customer service, he just told her to look for someone else while he picks orders for other customers thats not even there yet. Someone at customer service between 3:10 pm and 3:20 pm confirmed that the furniture was picked up and will be delivered by 8 pm and this never happened. 2. Someone at customer service between 8:15 pm and 8:20 pm said that the furniture was not picked up. She apologized and asked me for a preferred time slot (12nn and 3 pm) and WILL MAKE SURE that it will be delivered within the time frame. She also told me that she put a note that it would be prioritized due to the inconvenience it had caused. I called up again the following day and guess what, no note or remarks was put on my order. They couldn't even confirm if the item has been picked up. I took time off between the said time frame and now they are telling me "we can't assure the delivery time". These people will tell lies and give empty promises just to calm you down or just to cut the conversation short. I'm really disappointed and very, very upset.

    Took my lawnmower there because it wouldn't start. It had been in for a tune up the year before (at…read moreAccurate) and was only run once since then. I was told that it would take a week to 10 days and then I would hear. I tried calling numerous times and after over a month of them having my mower I finally got a hold of someone. The quote they gave me was ridiculous and they were trying to charge me for a tune up (which I didn't need) as well as other things like blade sharpening (which I didn't need). They insisted that these things needed to be done but once I told them that the mower was with them last year, then why was the work not done then when it had actually been requested. Once I gave them the account info of the previous owner of the mower and they were able to see the service records, their tune changed and all I needed was spark plugs and carburetor to get it running again. I kept calling and all I got was that the parts were on order still. 2 months later, I finally said forget it and that I was coming to get the mower and take it elsewhere. I go to get it only to be told that the parts came in a couple weeks ago but they 'lost' my mower so had been trying to find it. Fast forward another 1.5 weeks with radio silence, I call and they tell me that they think it was picked up as scrape by mistake. They ended up giving me a comparable mower at no charge so that part was ok. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made but there is no excuse for the brutal customer service, lack of transparency, and outright lying (until confronted) about the work required. NEVER will I ever take anything there again and will go out of my way to share my experience so others don't make the same mistake I did!!!

I couldn't get the blade off myself so I figured a store that specializes in that would have the right tools. After waiting for THREE weeks I called and asked, "are you able to sharpen the blade, or not?" Shortly afterwards I was told the work was done. I picked up my lawnmower, brought it home and plugged it in to cut my now rather long grass. The mower was dead. I removed the cowling (plastic cover) from the mower motor and found screwdriver marks in the motor windings and armature. They jambed a screwdriver into the electric motor to stop it from turning. Then denied it.

    I purchased the Cypress wood potting table this summer. Within two months, the surface became…read morecovered in black mold. I chose this model specifically because I understood cypress to be naturally rot- and mold-resistant. When I asked staff before purchasing, I was told the wood did not need to be sealed or stained and would simply grey naturally over time -- which I was fine with. What I wasn't expecting was such rapid mold growth. When I contacted customer service, they agreed this should not have happened, apologized, and offered a refund -- which I appreciate. However, I'm still disappointed, as this leaves me with the inconvenience of either dismantling and returning the table to buy another one, or spending time cleaning, sanding, and treating it myself to make it usable. Given the severity of the mold, I now question whether this is truly made of cypress heartwood, or if a softer/less durable wood such as pine or poplar was used instead. Overall, I'm frustrated by the poor material quality and lack of durability.

The new Winnipeg store placed this greatness much closer - but then I moved and I can only buy from these guys every so often. They started as the best woodworking tool store out there and their planes set a new standard in the field. But in the last 5 years they have moved into gardening and more. If you just wander around the store or check out their catalogues, I am sure they have a solution to a problem you are currently trying to sort.
