We are a bit on the over protective side, and we have a hard time trusting strangers with our kid, but the people at this location do not feel like strangers at all. The director at this location really has her act together. All the teachers are really nice and knowledgeable. They are always learning about something new in fun, age appropriate ways. There is always something fun going on. Our daughter LOVES going to "school" as she calls it. She has made tons of friends there. We have since added on Phonics to the cost of her tuition and she loves that, too. They made popsicles one day. They had a cute little Halloween party (no costumes though). They are going to have pajama day, crazy hair day, and a bunch of other fun things like that. They studied the science of dirt. One of the classrooms was growing some kind of plants. Every week has a new theme for what they study. Themes include things like dinosaurs, occupations, etc. They did a cute little recital in the winter and sang a snowflake song. We had a parent teacher conference where her teacher showed us all the things she has learned so far, what she is proficient with, what she is a little behind in, etc. Any time we have any concerns we can just pop in and talk to her teacher about it so we're all on the same page. It's been really great. We are glad we found this daycare. Our daughter loves it so much, that when she is too sick to go she stays home and plays "school." I feel good knowing that she is having a great time AND learning so much. I really feel like this is helping prepare her for real school. I feel like she is in a safe place, being cared for by very capable people who genuinely care. My only complaint so far is that the only actual credit cards they take are Discover, which is just weird. So I have to pay with my debit card. But at least they send me a handy email reminder every week saying my payment is due, with the link to go online and pay it. It's very convenient to pay online.

The door must be locked from the outside only with a key - which means someone must then walk around to the front to enter the daycare. When I pointed out that was unsafe, she told me that "nothing bad has happened yet." Good grief. Also the facility needs to install a privacy fence with a locking gate so that the children cannot be seen from 50th Street or escape from the yard. Every neighborhood harbors sex offenders, right? When these security breaches are addressed, I will update this review to reflect the improved conditions.

There are so many things we enjoyed about our time there. The CDC has its own separate, secured entrance. The friendly office staff greets you and your child before letting you in through another secured door. The classrooms are large, inviting, and clean. The facility also has a child-friendly cafeteria, gymnasium, and giant outdoor play area with playground equipment, age-appropriate toys, and a seasonal garden. The part I loved most about St. Luke's were the learning experiences my child had in each of her classrooms. When my child started, as a post-Covid baby, she was not used to being around peers or following school routines. She also had a speech delay. The teachers at St. Luke's created a warm, inclusive, and positive learning environment that allowed her to be herself and grow. They were open and willing to work with her speech therapist and frequently communicated outcomes with me. Their daily schedule included a healthy amount of age-appropriate learning balanced with play allowing her to develop academic skills and make friends. The icing on the cake were the musical, art, and sports opportunities she was able to participate in. I'm happy to report that my child no longer has a speech delay and is more than ready to start school in the fall. I highly recommend St. Luke's to anyone looking for a great place to support and develop your whole child and set them up for success in kindergarten.

It's a large facility complete with cafeteria, gymnasium and a fantastic outdoor play area that has playground equipment and garden. All of the staff and teachers are fantastic. We found everyone to be friendly, attentive, communicative, and understanding. In each of the two classrooms my son was in he had a wonderful experience. The environment was such that he could be himself. They also do a great job of scheduling activities which allow the children to learn thru lessons as well as thru play. I'll also add that they handled the pandemic very well. They communicated the changes, reduced class sizes, required staff and parents to wear masks and provided sanitizer. I recommend anyone looking for a great daycare to consider St. Luke.

The preschool teacher was outright awful, talking about breaking our kid's face in front of them and all their classmates. When we brought this to the leadership team, they assured us they would have a conversation with the teacher, but no other action was taken and they quickly swept it under the rug. Later we learned that we were not the first family to leave because of this teacher. Additionally, they did not provide us with the documentation of our payments upon our request and cost us time and money when we had to reschedule our tax filing appointment. Very disappointed overall.

Its true that she does not let children have seconds. They also end up eating the same food repeatedly for several days. The cheap leftover food from the meal before like cottage cheese would be served over and over again. This way when the nicer foods like cheese cubes were catered in she could take it home for herself. 2. I personally spent a day throwing up in a trashcan WHILE holding babies, because we are not allowed sick days without a doctors note, and you can not afford to see a doctor on her wage. 3. She has two playgrounds but the children are only allowed to play on them if she is having a tour. Otherwise the sand they bring back in is "to messy". 4. Also, The children do not do crafts because she doesn't want the glue, paint, or what-not making a mess. Instead the teachers construct the crafts and have the students right their names on them. In fact, If you do take a tour you may notice that the only child artwork on display is that of her own son from over 20 years ago. Otherwise, hanging up artwork might "ruin the paint on the walls. 5. At one point a room of children had been left unattended for over 20 minutes. Some of them where gnawing and swallowing pieces of foam blocks. Some of them were hitting one another. Some of them had wondered out of the room. When I told the supervisor Donna chastised me for reporting it, and told the supervisor not to worry, that I "just worry to much." 6. She would often strap children in a highchair when they were upset, even though she personally told me that it's illegal to do that. 7. I was told NOT to communicate a child's difficulties with their parents because Donna didn't want them to know that things were not OK. 8. She expelled a student who stole her keys on the grounds that "she had disciplinary problems that needed special care". At the same time she ignored a student with extremely violent behavior and was viciously attacking his co-students throughout the day, causing multiple injuries. However, children being attacked isn't as inconvenient for her as looking for her keys, so she didn't see a need to find him help or discuss this with his parents. There is so much more that I simply can't get into right now, but this is not a good place. Your child would typically get more humane treatment from a year old baby sitter.
