My son went to one other facility before Primrose and he was sick practically the entire time (sinus/ear infections, stomach bugs, hand, foot, and mouth, and other illnesses) and he's had one or two minor sicknesses that didn't even slow him down since going here. You can tell how clean it is because when you walk in the doors it doesn't smell like your typically daycare center, it smells good! We've had a few minor issues but they have all been handled very professionally and promptly. I know that if I have a concern, not matter how minor, that I can bring it to the attention of leadership and it will be taken care of! I also know that they will be honest with me at all times, which I really appreciate.

I initially raised a concern about a teacher's interaction with another child and specifically requested that my feedback remain confidential. Unfortunately, confidentiality was not maintained, and it became apparent to the teacher and others that the concern had come from me. Afterward, I noticed a significant change in how that teacher interacted with both my daughter and me. The director at the time ultimately established an arrangement that my daughter would stay in another classroom each morning until her regular teacher arrived. I agreed to that solution and trusted it was being followed. On July 7, management called to tell me that my daughter had been placed back with the teacher I had concerns about because of staffing ratios. I said I understood the one-time situation but specifically asked to be notified anytime it happened again. I was never notified again. Approximately six weeks later, after my daughter began mentioning this teacher at home and I started asking questions, I learned that she had continued being placed in that classroom in the mornings without my knowledge. During that period, her Procare account also contained no morning updates reflecting her time in that classroom; her regular updates began once her usual teacher arrived. I cannot speak to why those updates were absent, but combined with the fact that I had specifically asked to be notified and was not, it left me deeply concerned about the transparency and communication surrounding my daughter's care. What ultimately caused me to withdraw my daughter immediately was not one teacher or one incident--it was the loss of trust in management. A director-established arrangement regarding my child was not followed, I was not informed, and for weeks I was dropping her off believing something different was happening than what was actually occurring. Primrose is premium childcare, and our tuition was approximately $1,600 per month. At that price point--and frankly, at any childcare center--I expect parents to be able to trust that concerns will be handled professionally, that agreements regarding their children will be honored, and that they will be told when those agreements cannot be accommodated. There were teachers during my daughter's time here whom we genuinely cared about, which makes the way our experience ended especially disappointing. I hope the center takes this situation seriously and makes changes so another parent does not experience the same loss of trust.

I would suggest you to do your due diligence; We are in 2017 and those negative reviews were a couple years ago. however I feel like I should share. I'm a mother of three kids and I have seen several different types of schools, preschools and daycare's. I pay attention when I walk around and what's going on and look at everyone in each classroom and here at Kindercare they're all doing their job. As a parent we know we're not always smiling with our own kids daily--we can't expect the teachers always to. As long as they're kind that's all that matters. The reviews below look like someone caught someone on a rough day I don't know anything about them making a Child "cry when it was smiling" but I can say I've been disciplining my children before and they were smiling while I was doing, sometimes a smile is ones way to say they're uncomfortable so we don't know all sides. Most importantly I feel like each one of my children's teachers: ms. Lauren, ms. Marie and especially Ms. Alyssa-who's always smiling and taking her time to chat with us are amazing. Kylee the director and co director Samantha have all gone out of their way to be kind. I'm telling you to do the due diligence and see for yourself because I'm very pleased!

The easiest way to summarize this center is: great care, communication, security, and experience. The teachers have been here for a long time, they care deeply for the students and the center, which implies happy work environment creates great longevity and engaged staff. Additionally, we received daily updates and weekly photos. It is easy to communicate with the staff for any needs and they have a very active mobile application to stay in contact. Additionally, security matters, and I felt very good about the safety of my son! Lastly, the staff cares deeply for the children! It was obvious how comfortable he felt at drop off, and the smile he expressed when he would see his teachers. The teachers love the kids and are so dedicated - I am so grateful for their care. I will continue to rave about this location and everyone here. We eventually had to take him out so he can join his sister at her current school. Last August 25th, after reflecting on the challenges my son faced at DMA in September and October…read moreof last year, I felt ready and shared a down-to-earth personal review.   Instead of receiving public feedback, I received a certified letter from a law firm, demanding for my review to be removed immediately, otherwise "we will sue you to obtain an order requiring you to remove it, and to recover significant monetary damages against you, including, but not limited to, punitive damages, and the attorneys' fees and costs Dynamite Montessori incurs in the case under A.R.S. 12-341.01 and A.R.S. 12-341". They reminded me of a contract clause that restricts what families may share publicly about the school without prior written consent. This clause is part of the agreement that parents must sign when enrolling their children. So, in the interest of focusing on providing for my son instead of defending myself against what I feel are insubstantial accusations, I am removing my previous review. We were part of the DMA family for almost three years. 100% involved and devoted to all the school activities. Our son attended from June 21, 2022, until November 1, 2024. In my personal opinion, DMA can be a good choice for any "non-Montessori" child to gain some exposure to a Montessori environment in their early years. The place looks pristine, with the right materials, strong infrastructure, and opportunities for children to learn--especially if they happen to be among the more "gifted" ones and can learn by themselves. I have been a Montessori mom since our son was born, and we initially thought this was the perfect place for him. Last year, however, in his third year of primary, my son developed a behavior we felt unrecognizable to us and was told "not to be kindergarten ready" and "maybe not a good fit for a classroom at all". My family, especially my son (5 years old at the time), went through a nightmare that took almost a year to recover from. Fortunately, today he attends a large Montessori school where he has adapted beautifully and is thriving as the amazing child he has always been. In his new school he is considered a bright kid and so far, there is not a single incident regarding his behavior. Looking back, we feel that his experience at DMA was heavily affected by a classroom dynamic that was challenging for his naturally calm demeanor. Today, we are sharing our feelings, in case it helps other families who may be uncertain--whether you already have a child enrolled or are considering enrollment.

I've had the opportunity to work at Explorers in Learning, twice. Which means I have more insight…read morethan most who quit after two weeks or a month. Back in 2018, EIL was a place where it was an honor to work there. The directors got along, and if they didn't I never saw it. They were respectful and focused on the children more. Staff that were there had been there a long time. They stood for something. They gave raises and praise. My first year there, I received a 2 dollar raise. My second time around, I received .37 cents. Now, EIL is not a place for growth of development. They do not care about you as a teacher, but they love to have you as a body in the classroom. I'd recommend asking them how their turnover rate is. Just in my 1.5 years (with a 2 month unpaid maternity leave) there, I've seen plenty of staff come and go, 20 that I can think of off the top of my head. A business owner once told me, "Happy people don't leave." I'm not trying to tarnish your thoughts on EIL, but it's not a place to work if you have your own thoughts and opinions. The only benefit they offer is PTO if you work over 32 hours a week. As much as the parents pay, I spoke with two of them outside of work and they were shocked to hear that as pricy EIL is, they do not offer any benefits. If you put your notice in, make sure you use your PTO before you go. I was denied my measly 6 hours of PTO on my last check. As a single mother of two, that's a full days pay as I worked part time. As much praise I received from the assistant director, the parents, and the bonds with the majority of the staff there, the director and one out of two of her daughters who work there are drama filled. They ask you personal information, so they can report it back to her. You're not able to fully express yourself without walking on eggshells. If you want to be in the office, dealing with drama, gossip, a place where the director admittedly said she only knows 5 percent of what goes on in the center, and stress then sign right up, they're always, ALWAYS hiring. You'll have a staff meeting once a month to talk about the same thing without a solution. Ironically, even though I had my issues with the director, the parents and students loved me. Before maternity leave, the director made the decision to remove me from infants since I raised concerns about the ethics in the classroom. Shortly after being removed, a formula fed child drank breastmilk that didn't belong to her. I assume the director removing me from the classroom was to get me to quit, but it didn't. She put me in Bumblebees where I thrive as well. Then a bonus... I had all my babies that I started with and gained in infants. I was extremely happy. One last thing... "Policy is situational" per the director. So really, it isn't policy. Policy is only enforced if you are disliked. From a parents point of view: The teachers are pretty good. My son was in Inch Worms and the bond he created with his teachers and the assistant director was like no other. I appreciated the love they gave to him. They allow you to bring you own food in which isn't common. My son never ate the food there though. It doesn't look very appetizing. The teachers are great, but they don't stay very long. From January to August, my infant child had two lead teachers quit. One negative about the parent aspect is a parent said they were pulling their child because the director can't get along with his wife. That was such a sweet family and they're gone because of the director.

They additionally have some extracurriculars that you can pay extra for like dance or art for about $10 additional a week. They are on the slightly more expensive side, but honestly very reasonable in comparison to other childcare centers in the valley. If it was a little bit closer to our house or in a more convenient location, we would be sending our children here.

I understand my son made friends with a boy who seemed to be a troublemaker so he was difficult but the way the school handled it was by putting him up front in time out nearly everyday, and the teacher accosting me and telling me that he needs assessments as if he's special needs and then moving him down to half days only. I left in tears one day because of the way the teacher treated me. We transferred to the Scottsdale School and my son is thriving ! He has been learning SO much, the teachers have been there for years so they don't have a high turnover rate and my son loves going. I feel great dropping him off and they all love my son and he's super popular in school. We have had ZERO issues there. I do realize other people have good experiences here but I just always felt super off and stressed dropping my son off at this daycare. This daycare seemed to have a negative attitude towards my son (which may have been justified because of negative influences) which made for a somewhat threatening environment for him. Just know if a daycare is not working out then you can always find a better environment for your child. Young children are very influenced by other kids in the class so getting them into a different school may be appropriate.
