We currently have one child in Primary and one in Elementary, and both are thriving beyond what we ever expected. Our extended family has even commented on how much our kids have grown -- not just academically, but in their confidence, curiosity, and love of learning. What stands out most is how personal the experience feels. The teachers are genuinely caring, and we love that there are bilingual educators and an environment that supports the whole child. It's so refreshing to see our kids learning in a way that goes far beyond "sitting at a desk and memorizing." The school offers an abundance of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities, and it's clear they're focused on supporting each child as an individual. We are truly grateful to have our children grow up in such a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment... even if part of us wants to keep it our little secret!

Last August 25th, after reflecting on the challenges my son faced at DMA in September and October…read moreof last year, I felt ready and shared a down-to-earth personal review.   Instead of receiving public feedback, I received a certified letter from a law firm, demanding for my review to be removed immediately, otherwise "we will sue you to obtain an order requiring you to remove it, and to recover significant monetary damages against you, including, but not limited to, punitive damages, and the attorneys' fees and costs Dynamite Montessori incurs in the case under A.R.S. 12-341.01 and A.R.S. 12-341". They reminded me of a contract clause that restricts what families may share publicly about the school without prior written consent. This clause is part of the agreement that parents must sign when enrolling their children. So, in the interest of focusing on providing for my son instead of defending myself against what I feel are insubstantial accusations, I am removing my previous review. We were part of the DMA family for almost three years. 100% involved and devoted to all the school activities. Our son attended from June 21, 2022, until November 1, 2024. In my personal opinion, DMA can be a good choice for any "non-Montessori" child to gain some exposure to a Montessori environment in their early years. The place looks pristine, with the right materials, strong infrastructure, and opportunities for children to learn--especially if they happen to be among the more "gifted" ones and can learn by themselves. I have been a Montessori mom since our son was born, and we initially thought this was the perfect place for him. Last year, however, in his third year of primary, my son developed a behavior we felt unrecognizable to us and was told "not to be kindergarten ready" and "maybe not a good fit for a classroom at all". My family, especially my son (5 years old at the time), went through a nightmare that took almost a year to recover from. Fortunately, today he attends a large Montessori school where he has adapted beautifully and is thriving as the amazing child he has always been. In his new school he is considered a bright kid and so far, there is not a single incident regarding his behavior. Looking back, we feel that his experience at DMA was heavily affected by a classroom dynamic that was challenging for his naturally calm demeanor. Today, we are sharing our feelings, in case it helps other families who may be uncertain--whether you already have a child enrolled or are considering enrollment.

The teachers, supervisors, techs and even the front-desk are absolutely wonderful-always smiling and positive and the classes are small, which I love because the kids are able to get so much attention and support that you could never get at public schools. Then they add in individual programs for the kids to work on after completing intake testing and it makes for such an incredible place that challenges each student to learn at their best ability while giving them great socialization at the same time. My son is able to learn preschool basics while also working through some of his behaviors. Just like at the SPBS clinic, the staff records all program data results in real time on their iPads so they can always track a child's progress and readjust when necessary. Even for my daughter, not only is she learning to read but the school worked with her outside OT to find out exercises and strategies that they could incorporate into her daily routine to help encourage the use of her right hand. They also have peer students to make sure that students have exposure to kids without any behavior or developmental issues. The students learn about different places each week, make fun crafts, have show and tell plus other various fun activities such as going to the park, playground games, yoga and obstacle courses. The school even works on skills such as sharing, taking turns, getting someone's attention, waiting, responding, table manners, etc. As a parent, you also are able to join ClassDojo to get pictures and videos of the kids working on things throughout the week, which makes my day to get to see. Lastly, they care so much about ensuring the success of their students that they voluntarily assist with their MET meetings and future placement. I only wish we could keep our kids here for longer!

I would suggest you to do your due diligence; We are in 2017 and those negative reviews were a couple years ago. however I feel like I should share. I'm a mother of three kids and I have seen several different types of schools, preschools and daycare's. I pay attention when I walk around and what's going on and look at everyone in each classroom and here at Kindercare they're all doing their job. As a parent we know we're not always smiling with our own kids daily--we can't expect the teachers always to. As long as they're kind that's all that matters. The reviews below look like someone caught someone on a rough day I don't know anything about them making a Child "cry when it was smiling" but I can say I've been disciplining my children before and they were smiling while I was doing, sometimes a smile is ones way to say they're uncomfortable so we don't know all sides. Most importantly I feel like each one of my children's teachers: ms. Lauren, ms. Marie and especially Ms. Alyssa-who's always smiling and taking her time to chat with us are amazing. Kylee the director and co director Samantha have all gone out of their way to be kind. I'm telling you to do the due diligence and see for yourself because I'm very pleased!

Mrs. Harpt, Mrs. Jenny, Mrs. Jessie, Mrs. Dunham, Mrs. Page, Mrs. Spade --- these are the teachers my daughter has had direct interaction with, and seriously they are WONDERFUL. I love their approach to resolving conflicts - talk it out, instead of time-outs or punishments. SUPER SMART! Mrs Harpt even has conflict resolution cards that offer different options for the kiddo to take, if s/he feels wronged. It's THE BEST. I love their focus on kindness and respect. When we aided the other day, the ratio was 5 grown-ups to 8 kids. I mean it doesn't get better than that. I also LOVE that the school offers parent aide (volunteer) opportunities that reduce tuition! So, I know all the kids at the school! Which sets my mama heart at ease knowing that my daughter interacts with all sorts of personalities. That way, she and I can discuss her interactions with friends at home, and she can directly transfer what we talk about. I have found myself in an unusual situation with my husband becoming ill, and the directors (Joanne & Julie) and the office staff (Matt & others) have been so very kind --- I forgot my daughters shoes once, and no problem. I had an issue with some aggressive in-laws, and the staff took it very seriously ensuring that no one NOT on the pickup list would ever grab my daughter. Additionally, they have allowed my husband to tag along with me when I aide, which provides him a sense of belonging, even though he lacks capacity to completely fulfill his role in a typical way. The staff and directors are tremendously empathetic, kind, non-reactive, respectful, and truly lovely to interact with. When I can donate or volunteer, I feel HONORED to do so! Whereas in other areas of my life, it can feel like a burden or resentment.... not SSP - It's a really magical place that fills my heart. I have found a family in SSP! (which says a lot since we moved away from family & friends 3 years ago!)
