I've been a client of Ariel for many years, and I love this shop in Dixon. I drive from Vacaville to get my cuts here. Alejandro and the other barbers are good too, and there's always a spirit of community and conversation when I stop in for my regular appointments, not to mention strong support for military and first responders. If I could give a no star I would, my husband took my three year old grandson here for a cut today, I sent a picture of the cut I wanted and the haircut he got was awful!!! I'm not sure the lady's name, but I called back to let her know how unhappy I was with the cut and she blamed it on the child that has allergies with a tickle in his throat that causes a slight sound not like a sick cough. She told me she was trying to hurry and get him out of there as soon as possible because he was coughing all over the place. Funny thing he hasn't coughed at all after coming home. They charged us $45 for this cut that wasn't like the picture I sent and there was even a big gap on the side, she sent me to her manager that also was rude and didn't want to fix the haircut. I told him I was leaving a bad review on the place and he said he doesn't care. So here it is, all he had to do is fix the problem to have a happy customer. Brought my son here for a cut. MISTAKE. If this place is associated with the Vacaville shop, the owner needs to clean house. Woman who cut my son was rude and in a big hurry. The fade was terrible and he was gapped up. It's a shame because we've used Primos is Vacaville a lot and expected that level of service. We were wrong. Do yourself a favor and go to a more customer friendly barber. I had a 9:30am appointment, and I didn't show because I had to work until 3am. Yes it's my fault, but I woke up and called to see if I could get a walk in at 12:30. The other barber on shift answered and told me he could take me at 4pm. He was asking me for my info and when Alex heard my phone number, he took the phone and told me he was denying me services because I missed my appointment. I supported this business through the pandemic shut down, but I will no longer give them or any of their 3 shops my business. And as a side note, I have had my appointments canceled 3 times by the barbers and I still supported them. But I missed 1 appointment and I am denied service?? The appointment was for my 2 year old son so by the time we got into the chair he wouldn't let the barber touch his head. He's usually really good getting hair cuts! I went there to get a haircut just before the Christmas holidays with the barber who's working in the left separate office, but he refused to do it because I was wearing a mask (just a regular N95 which goes over the ear), and as you can imagine he didn't wear it either. Usually I don't mind that the personal of the barber shop doesn't have the masks on (everyone is sick of this Covid stuff I get it), but this time I was visiting relatives, so I wanted to take an extra precaution..plus with the Omicron variant the new cases we're going up pretty drastically.. just seams weird that by law they're required to wear the fade covering, but they don't and also refuse to do a haircut if you want to have the face covering on.. Anyway, I'm glad this isn't the only barber shop in town so I was able to get the haircut elsewhere. On the bright note, I had a few haircuts done there previously, and they were good. read more

First time here at the new shop. Giovanni did a great job with the cut. Very personable, detailed and efficient. Found out he was taught by my brother in-law at Urban Barber School in Concord, so the expectations were a little higher and he came through. Got my usual fade with a line up using a straight edge and he did great. Will be coming back to him. read more

You know being that's a new place in town They should communicate better with new clientele's not just with people they been having appointments with they had me waiting awhile when they had appointments already booked out for the time. they told me to wait because they except walk-ins . not wait a few hours out until they are done with their appointments. My husband got his haircut last week from this place for the first time and it was the worst. He asked medium faded and it was way too high, he didn't have the heart to complain about how bad the cut was. So save you $30 dollars and maybe look for another place. read more

Just got back from trying do a walk in and had a bad experience. Was sitting there for over a hour and a half and they didn't say a word to me or the people waiting. They don't know how to communicate with people coming in and was honestly even hard to listen to the way they answered questions. Dead quite while I was there too, at least have a conversation with the person you're cutting. read more

$25 haircut was horrible. Hair was choppy and not straight. Asked for the USMC discount but it never got included into the total bill. Don't go to this barber shop if you have any sense. Female haircuts are out of the question apparently. read more
