I had been going to the same stylist for roughly 30 years in Dublin. After moving to Vacaville, the drive and scheduling became too much. Time for a change, and I settled on going someplace local... Town Square Barbers. Tim delivered a level of attention I did not expect. He took his time, and when I went to visit my stylist friend, she complimented the quality of my haircut. High praise, indeed. Yes, it's a Barbershop. They are guys. They talk about sports, they laugh and give each other a hard time. But there is also a camaraderie that feels like stepping back in time to the old days. They have a consistent flow of regulars that stop by for a cut or shave or just to say hi. Had a truly great experience today! My son got lucky due to a last minute cancellation and Ryan was able to fit us in. My son has thick, coarse RED hair with many cowlicks. I've struggled over the years finding someone who could manage all of the "opportunities" that exist on this one head of hair. Ryan did an amazing job, he listened to my concerns but recognized that I didn't have all the answers and I didn't know how to communicate exactly what I wanted. He assured me he had it handled ---this was truly the best haircut my son has ever had. The Barbershop was welcoming and an overall great experience. These guys are great. I first went there looking to change my hairstyle and was nervous about the change. I went there with a couple of pictures and asked Joe if he could do it and with the utmost confidence he said, "Yeah no problem." He then took his time and it came out great. Love that I can just sit in Bundy's chair and he already knows what I want, and if he changes it up it's always an improvement!!! Two weeks ago he surprised me and sent me on my way with a handlebar mustache, which my wife loved. Today he gave me some more instruction on how to make the handlebar looks it's best and did a fantastic job trimming my beard. This review is for Bundy. Excellent barber. Incredibly skilled + thoughtful workflow. Very good with transitions/fades. I don't think I've had a better haircut and beard trim. If you have a big event coming up, don't be afraid to mention it. They are very understanding. Definitely schedule an appt if possible bc they get busy. I haven't gotten a haircut from the other guys, but from what I can tell they also do really good work. Also a good place for families. If there are younger chillun around they are mindful of the music and conversation. read more

I've been twice. I only have a couple complaints: the time it takes them to do a haircut (an hour and some change for my boyfriends experience), and then the shop talk. They do a pretty decent job cutting hair, if they'd focus more on hair cutting, they'd be able to get through clients at a more reasonable rate. The shop talk was funny at times, and other times probably not appropriate (especially when meeting newer clients, but in general). The way they talked about women was honestly really distasteful, a lot of swearing-I get the whole "guys will be guys"-but all in all it was pretty uncomfortable and unprofessional. I'd say just tone it down, read the room better. It's a pretty good group of guys, the banter can be pretty entertaining as well and so far, they've done great at their jobs. I'm in town for business and was in need of a fresh cut.  This was highly recommended so off I went.  The shop is located what seems to be an old downtown area.  The shop itself has 5 chairs with only 3 running at the time I came in.  There's 49ers paraphernalia all around the shop as well as deer heads.  It's a bit of a tight space and each chair looks cluttered but they make it work.  As I walked in I can already hear a female voice.  She sounds like a Karen.  I sit down and wait my turn.  Karen has two kids on the chair and she's chopping it up with the barbers with mostly her doing the talking. Yo, in my time waiting she talked about how she's been divorced twice but finally found the right man.  How she was in the Army as a Nurse.  How she gets child support and that "your Dad pays me".  The kids even chimed in and talked about how Dad gives her money.  Then the kids talked about how their little sister's Dad is rich.  She blabbed about her time as a cheerleader and how having kids ruined her body.  I mean she didn't look good now so...yeah.  I wanted to walk out so bad because this ain't the barbershop talk that I was used to.  But I was into deep you know and besides her kids was pretty much done.  Then they finally left after promising the barbers that she would come back would cheer leading posters.  One of the barbers gave that look...like "okay lady" but it was hidden by "ha ha ha, that would be great, see you!"  I don't think they want any heat from Karen and she left a good tip for them. After they left, the real barber shop talk commenced.  It was some good banter between the three barbers.  One guy takes a quick break for a snack.  I forget what the homey was eating but I think he was trying to be healthy because they were asking him about his fasting.  Then he was talking about using Stevia for a substitute for sugar.  This man getting his hair cut said it's still sugar and you can still get diabetes from it.  So my man replies with, "that's okay I'm on that Keto diet so it's killing the diabetes."  ...... I did get my fresh hair cut.  These guys had plenty of people coming in and waiting as I sat there enjoyed some more banters.  His name was Rico!  Rico took his time with the cut and I was pleasantly please with the outcome.  I'm not sure if they take appointments but I would asked because I waited a good while but it was worth it. read more

Went to get my hair cut and a beard trim. Haircut was good. But they are not skilled at beards. I asked them if they knew how to cut beards well and they lied and said they did. I got the really young Hispanic man on the far right chair. Cost me 30$ and looked horrible. Cut away 4 months growth off my beard and left it patchy and uneven. If you need your beard cut and styled, go to JJ's barbershop down the street. Worth the wait read more
