I had ordered through the Lunchdrop website and I am very disappointed at the product. I order the Italian diablo and it was missing oil and vinegar that I requested. But more importantly I received the sandwich with the incorrect bread....Where is my sesame seed roll? Very sad as I usually love this place.

I'm all about an awesome sub shop! This spot is right when you turn in, by the entrance to the Harris Teeter garage. I ordered online, it said 35 minutes, but I arrived early and it was ready. If you order online just know your sandwiches will be in the bag, but you have to get all your a la cart sides and dessert items directly from the case. If I hadn't looked in the bag, I would have walked out without half of my order. I got the sharp Italian and it was delicious! I'm always a fan of Italian grinders and this one did not disappoint. I got the small size and it was stuffed full, definitely substantial. My husband got the chicken parm and his sandwich was much smaller. I'd personally stick with more of the deli cuts. I thought the sides were awesome. I loved the marinated mozzarella and the pasta salad was spot on. I also enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert. I look forward to grabbing subs here again!

I've been to Primo 3 times, and each sandwich has been on the money. I love the substantial, hearty sesame roll, and the quality of the ingredients seems pretty high for a chain. I've had three various versions of their Italian: The Sharp Italian, Italian Diablo, and the Old Italian. They've all been so good, it's gonna be hard to branch out past the solid Italian options. My wife got the Big T on a wrap, and really enjoyed it as well. Service was a little slow in the beginning, but I think they have it figured out now. Definitely a "to go" kind of spot, with a couple tables outside for a nice day. This is a phenomenal sandwich, and the menu has options for all.

Visited Primo Hoagie's for an Italian sandwich. While the sandwiches were decent enough on occasion, the overall experience was marred by consistently poor service. The staff often came across as rude, which detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. The ambiance is that of which you would expect from a Primohogies.

Overcooked and held too long dry chicken in the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich

I've had mixed experiences here. The first 3 times were pretty decent. But the 4th was inedible. I tried contacting their customer service both on their website and then through twitter with no response. It's been a week and no response to my reasonable message to them about the problem I experienced. Having worked in kitchens and in the hospitality industry for the majority of my life, I'm familiar with a lot that goes on in a restaurant. The staff is always pretty friendly. The fridge is usually stocked with sides and such. Seems clean. So the front of the house seems in check. Back of the house/kitchen, not so much. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich. Pretty basic. And this hoagie is made using ingredients that they have on many other sandwiches. The problem: My chicken was more like jerky than a moist chicken cutlet. This wasn't from over-frying. This was from sitting after cooking for far too long. When I bit into my sandwich, I couldn't chew through it. Really disgusting. So perhaps stick with deli meat sandwiches here. I've not had a problem with those. They have tons of options. Lots of unique ones. I hope they figure out quality control. I'll probably try it again at some point, and if no issues I'll update the review. I want it to be awesome but they missed the mark.

This was my favorite hoagie shop growing up in PA. The Raleigh location hasn't changed that at all. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, and the hosts and servers have been excellent every time. We made reservations once through OpenTable and once by phone -- both were easy, and reservations are probably a good idea since they stay busy. The food has been great both times. On our first visit, my husband and I shared the ribeye and loved the flavor. Their Caesar salad is also surprisingly unique and delicious with broccolini instead of a traditional Caesar style. I also really appreciated being able to order a single Rockefeller oyster since most places require a half dozen minimum. The second time we visited for an early Mother's Day dinner with my son and shared the off-menu tomahawk, which was excellent as well. The only consistent issue we've had has been steak temperature. We usually order medium, but their interpretation of medium has come out significantly more rare than expected. The first time, we had to send the steak back, and they asked us to identify only the undercooked portions to recook separately, which was a bit awkward and something we hadn't experienced before at a steakhouse. The second time, we tried being more specific and even requested an approximate temperature around 140°, but the steak came out closer to medium-well. That said, the flavors, atmosphere, and service have been so enjoyable that we'll absolutely keep coming back. We're just hoping we can eventually land on the perfect medium steak on a future visit.

Christmas time is beautiful, as they decorate the ceiling with garments and ornaments and other decorations around the massive restaurant, but reservations are needed no later than 6 months in advance. If you're fine waiting 3 hours for a table max, then you will be fine. Every single time we come to Angus Barn, something is different. Now they give you a soup or salad with your meal, along with bread! The cheese and crackers are famous among the people and are a great way to start your meal. The bread is so fresh also! All components in their house salad is great. Everything is awesome! The prime rib is tender and has such good flavor. Their mac n' cheese is the way to go. Their recipe is constantly changing. Like what I previously said, something is different every time you come to Angus Barn. The chocolate chess pie is the best I've had. This is a MUST when dining at Angus Barn. You HAVE to get the chocolate chess pie. The service is some of the best in the restaurant business and all do a great job at explaining things. So kind and professional! Once again, if you're around Raleigh and don't come to Angus Barn, you are missing out. I highly recommend you come. So good!

But I can tell based on the layout and setting of the bar that it's a great space to socialize when busy. For a steakhouse, I was immediately impressed by the variety of appetizers. I had the pork chop bites skewer and seafood stuffed mushrooms. While both were equally delicious, the pork bites were just a tad bit overdone, causing them to be on the drier side. But the sauce serve with them saved them, and the flavor was well-presented in both dishes, making the appetizers a great stand alone meal for the night. Both of my cocktails were made by the friendly, charming bartender, which were smooth and perfect for slow sipping. I would 100% visit again for a nice date night, but it's also a great spot to hang with friends due to the immersive bar arrangement.

The pieces of fish were large and thick. -- The Manchego-herb Biscuits were awesome. One order comes with four small biscuits. Crust was flaky, the inside was soft and moist, and the flaky salt was the cherry on top. -- The Seared Duck Breast was phenomenal. The duck was juicy and tender and salted well. I enjoyed the mix of fresh vegetables and warm cooked vegetables served with the dish. -- The Lemon Yuzu Tart was a nice bright and rich dessert. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived.
