Go immediately to Bedner's and pick up some of their Fresh Corn on the Cob... OGM! So sweet!!…read more Delicious!!! I like how they send you emails to let you know what's coming off the farm on the weekend... worked on me. Also, I wanted to pick up some Ice Cream from Sutton Milk Farm, a dairy farm in Okeechobee that makes amazing, fresh, ice cream. Both the Vanilla and Mint Chocolate Chip were fantastic. BTW, they also carry Duci Gelato if you can't make it to their place on Congress. That's the beauty of Bedner's Farm Markets... they search out the top quality items for sale at the store... and of course, the great produce, from their farms and other local farms. Just look at the beautiful veggies! Now, do yourself a favor... go pick up some corn! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

They have 3 locations (Boynton Beach, Del Ray and West Palm) and I had been meaning to check them out for some time. I'm glad I did. The store itself isn't all that big but they do pack a lot of unique produce items, some hard to find. The produce is super fresh and some of the pricing is cheaper than big box supermarkets, while others are more pricey. In the end it evens out but you get local farm fresh produce and that's a win win. By the way, the lemonade blueberries were a pleasant surprise. I thought they would be on the tart side but they were refreshingly sweet. Happy I stopped in and will definitely come back!

On Wednesday evening I took my Restaurant group to Riggins. We were 10 neighbors from the Valencia…read moreSound Development seated at a long table. Waylon was our waiter. On the whole he did a good job but there were mixed reviews from the group. Let's start with the location....it was a bit hard to find because the building is located behind a Publix shopping plaza. There are a few parking lots around. It's hard to know which door is the entrance. It turns out it's the Red door. It's a small stand alone venue. Very coastal - remember it's basically a fish place. There is a bar that you can eat at or at tables and chairs along the perimeter. This is a fun casual place. Expect to wear a bib and have paper tablecloths. Get your anger out on the shellfish as you hammer the shells off and use your hands in many cases to pull out the fish. All equipment is provided to get the job done. You ARE working for your dinner. One of the neighbors does not eat fish so she was able to get a grilled chicken. Unfortunately, it came out too spicy and she couldn't eat it. Waylon didn't come out to check on us to see if everything went according to expectations. However, to make it up to her, he took it off her check. One of us ordered a beautiful piece of salmon and sides. That was impressive and delicious. I had the PACIFIC CLAMBAKE.. Dungeness Crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp, Corn & Potatoes Admirals. It was a very generous portion. My husband started with French Onion soup and a crab cake. That was a "WOW". All crab - no filler and so delicious. I'll come back to eat that next time. Also I saw a couple of girls eating sushi at the bar and they said it was amazing. It's served on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I would also be very interested in that. None of us had room for dessert. The prices were very fair also. This was a nice change of pace to eat at Riggins. It wasn't overwhelmingly crowded at this time but I know it's crazy on the weekends even for lunch. You should call to make a reservation. And leave your phones home because there's no room for them on the table, and you'll be too busy working to eat your food. lol

Everything ALWAYS goes well. But for blue crab lovers especially, the trick is to stay flexible and…read moreunderstand the amazing breadth of the menu. Unlike a lot of mid-Atlantic crab houses. Florida crab houses are not constrained by statutory menu descriptions of size (small medium large jumbo whale colossal). So they frequently resort to ambiguous descriptions like "#2 Jimmy" NOT SO RIGGINS. Small. medium large jumbo are not only accurate. they are generally understatements of the actual generous sizes, weight and freshness. But if a MD "medium@ masquerading as a small isn't to your liking, they have the freshest crab cakes, imperial and seafood platter (Captains Feast) all at extraordinary value the "surf and Turf" burger combines a hefty fresh ground sirloin cheeseburger with a full sized crab cake (either selling alone at other restaurants nearby for $18-20,) for 17.95 with a side.. We've been loyal admiring patrons for 40 years. To paraphrase Cabaret, "when I go I want to go at Riggins!"

Asian World Market in Boynton Beach is officially my new favorite spot! This woman-owned business…read moreis truly a treasure trove for anyone who loves to cook or explore Asian cuisine. I originally stopped in just to restock my regular condiments, but I left with so much more! Major win: I finally found fresh Thai basil (nearly impossible to find at other markets!), plus authentic Thai chilis, Hi-Chew candies, and a bottle of sake for later. The store itself is spotless, beautifully organized, and boasts an impressive selection from Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, China, and beyond. The freezer aisle is loaded with treats--fresh produce, dumplings, ice cream, sausages, seafood, and more. I also spotted fresh fruit like bananas and mangoes. The noodle aisle? An absolute dream for instant ramen lovers and home cooks alike, featuring everything from ready-to-make ramen packets to a variety of rice, soba, and udon noodles. Don't even get me started on their huge assortment of shrimp chips--hands down my favorite snack! To top it all off, the owner (who is incredibly friendly and welcoming) told me about the Thai street food vendors popping up every Saturday at 11:30 a.m.--already planning my next visit for that! I highly recommend checking this place out!
