He is reliable, thorough, responsive, patient, organized, personable, and more useful than just balancing the books. He loves working with small businesses and he actually spends time helping you organize your numbers, process, and thoughts (his company can also help you with business plans). He charges monthly, not hourly, so I always feel like I can call or email him without racking up a bill. I am one of his smallest clients (he is the CFO for Metropolitan Bakery, among others) and feel like I get fantastic customer service. Basically, I just really, really trust him and that's after going through 4 CPAs, 1 financial advisor, and 2 bookkeepers in the last 5 years. When you're having someone deal with something as personal as your very own business, you understand how important it is to truly trust the guy who manages the numbers. I was referred to BA Jones by Ed Newman, CPA because he was drowning in PPP payroll things from his…read moreclients so without giving it a second thought I called BA. At first she was surprised by my number because I have a CA area code but as soon as I explained my situation, she warmed up. Before calling her I had booked some time for me to come into her office and meet her (which I gave her the heads up about during my call). I explained that I had been audited by the IRS on my 2018 tax return and she was fantastic at walking me though what I needed to do, first and foremost, requesting an extension (which the IRS immediately honored). Fast forward to today, I just left her office with my husband and I am SO excited to work with her on all my tax/business needs for the future. If you ever have the pleasure of sitting down and have a conversation with her, you will immediately get the sense of how intelligent, wise and on top of things she is - definitely want someone like this advocating for you and your business. She didn't charge us for our meeting today because she said that we were getting to know each other but honestly, I would have paid just to have heard her impart the wisdom that she did.
