We also needed advice on purchasing (and eventual installation) of other lighting fixtures. Chris came highly recommended. And wow, he and his team did NOT disappoint! First of all, Chris and his team were incredibly knowledgeable and seasoned. They showed us photos of some of their past projects and suggested various techniques to install our tvs and equipment for maximum efficiency and quality and, also, with minimal to no wires exposed (Chris knew we wanted a clean, contemporary look). His team has worked on many home theaters (WAY larger than our job, that's for sure!), so I knew we were in good hands. He also said he'd work on ways to save us some money, so that was nice of him. He and Tom, and later apprentice Ryan, first came to our place for a complimentary review of our condo's layout, our tv's, and the job that was to be done. They came again a few weeks later and stayed the whole day (literally), drilling and placing wires and cables between walls, installing outlets, and doing all sorts of electrical magic. After both tv's were installed, Chris took the time to go over - repeatedly - how they work, with their various remotes and all (my hubby and I are technically challenged. What can I say?!). I should add, too, that these guys could not have been nicer or friendlier or more professional or more....genuine. These are the kind of down-to-earth guys you'd want to be friends with and hang out with. Just decent, real people. Who happen to be kick-ass electricians. Were their services cheap? Hell no. But I for one sure don't believe in cutting corners with electrical matters. The work Chris and his team did was top-notch, they back it up, and you don't mess with electricity! A lazy rushed contractor doesn't work for me. After so many frustrations and searches for the perfect contractor, I randomly found Steve. Basically when I searched for a contractor to renovate my two nasty bathrooms and fix all the leaking problems that had happened for the past 18 years, I came up with a short list of contractors. I had met a few of them, but when I met Steve for a quick chat, I felt that was the guy! He seemed to be so proactive, technical, intelligent and clever. He was the person I wanted: I guy with good eyes for great finishing, respecting what the client wants and, the main thing, focusing on solving real problems and not just talking about pretty light fixtures. And I gladly hired him right away! My 2 bathrooms look so perfect! All the small details where carefully done and in the way I wanted. Always sharing the possible problems and solutions. Steve not only fixed all the plumbing, electrical and structural problems, but upgraded everything for high end quality service and products. And more... he did not only beautifully renovate our bathroom, but figured out problems in my building that existed for at least the last 10 years! Steve became popular among my neighbors and everybody loved his presence in the building. Not only because he is a such a good professional guy that helped the neighbors, but because he was nice, pleasant and honest person that everybody was glad to see around. Yes, that's Steve. Some even said Steve felt like part of the family! He is also a very clean contractor. The reno happened while we were living in the condo. As he understands well how physics works, he knew exactly what to do to not spread dust to the rest of the areas like living room and bedrooms. Yup. Sounds impossible, but that happened. When he was producing dust, he always vacuumed everything at the end of the day. Steve had free access to my condo for several months and I fully trusted in him. He respected the time to come to our place and leave. Finally, the reno took longer than I thought, but at the end of the day, it is totally understandable when he works by himself always making sure that he is doing his best and also making sure I was happy with his work. I'd would rather going through a long reno with someone that I fully trust than 10 strangers doing whatever work to finish everything in a month, so 10 years later you would have to deal with problems. That is not an option for me at all. Not even if I was going to sell my place right after. I would highly recommend the services of Billy Gray from Ace Projects Contracting. He did an…read moreexcellent job of painting our whole condo of approx. 1,000 sq. feet in New Westminster. It was a very challenging job, as it was tenant occupied, full of furniture and misc. stuff everywhere. The tenant only gave us access to the condo for 2 days, with 7 hours per day to paint, and had to clean up after each day. Billy and his team of 2 painters were very careful to move the furniture away from the walls and cover it while painting. The windowsills had previously been covered in mold with paint peeling off, so Billy's team filled the uneven surfaces and re-caulked against the windows. They also sanded down the hundreds of holes in the walls that I had filled. Previously there had been grease dripping off the kitchen walls, which we tried to clean prior to painting. Thankfully Billy was able to cover the kitchen walls with a nice clean coat of paint. He didn't hesitate when I requested that he use an expensive paint from Benjamin Moore. Prior to starting the job, I had emailed Billy with various questions and a long list of tasks to ensure that we were on the same page. Billy always answered me very quickly, even if it was late at night. He was very respectful and professional at all times. Prior to the paint job, we had our condo listed for sale, for 4 months. After Billy's paint job of the entire condo, it looked bright and fresh again. We received a good offer, a few weeks later. I would gladly hire Billy Gray again for any future project work.
